  • has anyone have this sheet?

  • @cellopiano100

Hi, I agree. But do you know the exact name? I would like to research it here or thru internet, Japan. Willing to share. I think it's possible. Thank you...and good luck to you.

  • 2:05 just kills me...every time.

  • one of the best movies I ever saw and love the cellomusic, if only I could get the sheetmusic for it.

  • hermoso

  • It's rare that you see good cello dubbing. Thanks Japan!

  • @dsostringbean the actor learned to play :]

  • Pure genius

  • I have the sheet music!!!! go to my chanel!!

  • @Maaitecl did you have this sheet?

  • Dislikes... People without heart can do that.

  • does anyone have the sheet music???????????

  • This is th best film i've ever seen and yes, it brings any everso mentaly storng man to shit brix. seen it about 5 times on tv, and it makes me cry every time.

  • Most beautiful movie I've ever seen...wish I could find a man that would enjoy this, He's the one who'd take my heart.

  • @GottWind ...I do hope you find one :) I know they're out there....

  • How can this beautiful scene get any dislike!!!!

  • :(

  • wonderful.....^^

  • i lold

  • He fakes pretty well!! Now now, before you judge me and call me names, I HAVE played multiple stringed instruments. If you look at the vibrato, it's very small and uneven. The music, on the other hand, has a wide and even vibrato

  • @Smilingiskool His bowing also doesn't match perfectly with the sound.

  • @Smilingiskool It's true, but if you watch the extras on the DVD, it says he actually learnt how to play the cello over the filming time so that he looked more realistic. There are some parts of this film where the fingering and bowing match up almost perfectly! I think that's definitely dedication to the role! He also spent some time at a genuine encoffinment place learning how to do it properly.

  • @Smilingiskool

    Who cares.

  • @Mrfroufrou09 I do ;(

  • When I saw the aftermath of the earthquake & tsunami in Japan, & lately, the threat of radiation, I thought of the dead...those who drowned and some taken back to the sea. It is heartbreaking for the relatives of those who died & the manner in which they are buried. This movie shows the sacredness of the ceremony for the dead...and yet, that ceremony has to be given up for the piles of bodies that had to be cremated... the ashes of whom are mixed with one another.

  • I have this movie and love it, I also have the sound track which has this... love this movie!!

  • What's this movie called? I'm fasinated by it and i LOVE the cello

  • @LadySesshomaru18

    Departures

  • This is such a beautiful movie... I saw it at a friend's house. Really amazing story and very well made.

  • I love this movie.... Every time I watch it, as soon as it's over, I'm like, "O__O Must... go... practice!" x3 I need this sheet music! Such a nice song.

  • I LOVE MY CELLO AND WANT TO GO PRO!!! :DD

  • Who are the two motherf#@kers that dislike this video. Do you understand what "dislike" mean?

  • I haven't even seen this movie but my family raved about it and the music in it, from what I've heard of it is absolutly breath taking....its reasons like this that I want to learn how to play cello...my mom says I already play enough but I LOVE this instrument

  • @ModestDanny what do you have against it?

  • I bought the movie so I could watch it to my heart's content. The little rock. Yes, it bring tears. Top of my list of most loved movies.

  • When the take made the focus clear to finally see the dad, that made me cry manly tears. I absolutely loved that moment.

  • His wife is super cute!

  • I love how the vibrato keeps going, even when his hand isn't moving. LMAO. XD

  • saw this for the first time today. don't know what is more moving, the story line or the soundtrack. both brought me to tears. had to go back to this scene once you see the rock scene at the end.....

  • Gotta love the tune up :)

  • great movieeeee luv it

  • Dammit, pressed dislike :'( this movie is one of the best movies ive seen, definitely the best ive seen this year. • Simply a great movie

  • Esse filme é de uma delicadeza, de uma sensibilidade absurdamente linda! A música é rara, desperta nossos sentimentos mais profundos...

  • @1Maitex1 hey I found the sheet music for piano. If you're interest, send me a message

    Buen día

  • Does anybody knows, where to get the sheet music for cello ?

    Thanks

  • @chinoseee His last score for orchestra "Melodyphony" has it! It's 5,250 Japanese yen and you can find it on Amazon.

  • Lol, I just realized. Why the hell is there a giant studio monitor next to him?

  • @CyberPutty: if you make this question . .. i suppose you didn't see the movie.

  • I originally chose to watch this because of the cello, my favorite instrument, but was moved to tears by the story. Such a beautiful film -I wish we had encoffiners here that took such care. When he was working on his father I suddenly remembered my own father's funeral only six months ago, and how "wrong" he looked- his face so sunken in. I sobbed. This process was so artful and caring and respectful, and a wonderful way to remember a loved one before sending them on to meet the next life.

  • Amazing work by Yojiro Takita. This is how a real movie is made. Easily one of the best films i have ever seen. 5/5

  • This movie has been an essential part of one of the most meaningful and beautiful days of my life...I felt so alive that day, I breathed every second of it

  • I watched 'Departures' last night. It was one of the most incredibly moving films, I've seen in a Very Long Time. At the end, with my eyes welled up, I said to myself, "this is why I love movies - This is Art.". And the Music! Was just Beautiful. I woke up w/the cello solo in my head. A True Masterpiece.

  • anyone know the name of this piece? I would love to have it for my computer.

  • It's called Memory - song before last on the Departures soundtrack CD. Truly inspirational and beautiful.

  • I am watching this movie right now on the TV and I like it :D

Can someone tell me how this song is called and who wrote it?

On the paper with the music i can read something with faraways or something like that?

  • nice.

  • it's the best movie i seen from long time ago. and music by Hisaishi Joe. i watched it 2 times in the cinema and i'm going to watch it again :D

  • @madnesss17 Whoa, really? I knew the music sounded familiar. Like the music in the Studio Ghibli films that Hisaishi does, they're very beautiful.

  • @dewdropmist yeah, really! it's Hisaishi-san work! it's amazing!!!! :D:D:D

  • @madnesss17 , I do agree with you. This is the kind of movie is an excellent piece of cinematography. I didn't think that I was going to find such a gem when I checked it from my local library. I would recommend this movie to anyone who wants to watch quality and a craft well done. I love the music as well, very appropriate. I am glad that it won the Oscar.

  • I have viewed three movies this week. Avatar in giant 3D IMAX, Hurt Locker off Itunes, and this movie off Netflix. In a years time if you ask me which movie I remember it will be Departures. My wife asked if I cried, I said no... until the little rock. The rock got me. Great film.

  • me too,yes great film

  • The Rock got me, and the scene where the father's face comes into focus, I could conceal my feelings no longer. I miss my dad.

  • The rock WRECKED me. My father and I don't have the best relationship and things with a father & son relationship tend to really affect me. The little rock falling out of his hand tore me up. Great movie.

  • @nausicaan666 Dude, I cried too during the little rock scene. I'm someone who never cries, and this just made me miss my dad too much.

  • thanks medmawi!
