Beer Review # 115 George Killian's Irish Red

This was my favorite beer before getting into craft beers in the past year or so. Still enjoy drinking it once in awhile. Part of my rotation you could say of go-to beers. Having one as I write this.

its not bad for the price..and avaliable at alot of places...but the budweiser american ale kinda reminds me of killians except better

When this beer 1st came out,I was in my 20's. It was good then,especially with pit bbq'd ribs! It was def a good combination at that time.

@dmarcellus depends on what style of beer you like. I like hoppy beers and stouts! Bells Hopslam and Founders KBS.

@dmarcellus Hey the way I found out which beer is good for me, is I found a pub that sold 150 diff types of beer, then I started taste testing, every night drink six or more different ones, sure did find some weird flavored beers back then :O lol

I have tried all kinds of beers my self and I hate the way beer taste. I found George Killian's Irish Red beer and I loved it. This beer is the only beer I will drink. The rest of the time I drink mead or Caption Morgan's private stock spiced rum.

This stuff has a strong after-taste. Just now trying it for the first time. There's much better beers out there but this one isn't bad.

I'll be honest. I love Killian's Irish Red. I'm on a quest for the best Lager (as of a few days ago... I'm sick of busch and bud. I'm 20, so don't get angry), and as of now, this is like gold to me. Any recomendations as to a good dark lager?

It has changed since Coors bought it. Back when I tended bar 10-15 years ago it was a very popular draft for us, but I haven't heard much good about it lately.
