  • which one you like better ? Gen 4 or Gen 3 and i saw a video that showed Gen 4 has ejection issues? what do you think?????

  • Lol you're Filipino ku musta ka!

  • good review man! I wasent sure if I wanted a 4th gen or if I was going to try and get the 3rd, but im pretty sold on the 4th now.

  • Sell me your Gen 4. lol

  • I just found out that there is a recoil spring exchange program for the Gen4 Glocks. I don't know what issues there may be with the recoil spring but it might be worth looking on Glock's website for more information if you have a Gen4 pistol. Nice review and comparison. Thanks!

  • @DavesTrumpet The original gen 4 glocks shipped with the wrong spring assembly. They fixed that right away. It's was a short lived crisis.

  • 425! Everett shoutout!

  • U r missing a 3rd mag

  • i like

  • why dont you release the magazine on gen 3 with youre middle finger? i find it easir that to adjust my grip because i too cant reach it with my thumb

i thought you might wana try this out :3

  • Glock's the BEST, and everyone KNOWS IT!

  • What Gen4 Model is this??

  • @iPiToX Looks like a Glock 17.

  • Mine came with three mags. Sounds like the dealer punked one on you.

  • Are those backstraps made of durable composite polymer/ceramic or cheap plastic?

    I'm a bit of a noob

  • @davehowellman i believe its made from cheap durable polymer lol ..but if you try to use it instead of hammer on nails it might actually fail.

  • chur, special shout out to us kiwis lol.

  • I finally traded my 4th gen G22 and went back to the 3rd gen RTFG22. I just didn't get into the 4th gen. I went to buy a conversion barrel for it and all anyone had was 3rd gen cbarrels that don't fit it.

  • this areal or fake gun?

  • @emaelito

    Really?

  • umm I think your dealer ripped you off all the 4th gens I've seen come with 3 mags

  • Soft, chubby hands.

  • @diegoolivarez1 do you like......soft, chubby hands?

  • @cardiacthapoet I doubt anybody really likes soft chubby hands!

  • Great vid! Thanks for the comparison. Remember to include safety checks!

  • Just fucking with ya by the way , good video !

  • Horrible comparison ! Too lazy to take the slide off and show the spring change or what ?

  • BRAH! you sound so Kanaka!!! I love it!!! You know my buddy! Art of Magnum?

  • I happily saved $60 buying a gen 3 g26 over the gen 4. The standard grip is actually perfect for me. I used that $60 to buy a box of ammo and a 33 rd spare mag. I'm left handed but I prefer standard guns. I don't want to have to relearn the gun for the lefty mag release. It's just paranoia, I'm sure, but I really want nothing to do with the "back straps". I suppose it'd be a good idea if you have tiny little doll hands, and can't hold onto a gen 3.

  • @DerekNS74 You noticed the tiny doll hands too, always puzzled me why small people prefer BIG guns?....

  • @NObsNbart - I know Chuckie, he is too stupid to count that high plus he is a known liar.

  • Glock 33 round magazine.... (drools)......

  • Good review, but it sounds like cookie monster's doing the narration...

  • @Yinjunzi lol he does sound like it

  • The Glock 19 gen 3 with exo coating is the top of the mountain.... Nothing better in a Glock...

  • is that a gen 4 glock 17 and can u get a rtf frame in gen 4? and do they make gen 4 glock 34s

  • So I'm buying my first handgun, should i buy the gen 3 or gen 4? There seems to be a lot of controversy about which one is better. Some people say with the malfunctions its not worth it. Can anyone help me?

  • @Alexandermayo790084.. I see you wrote this a moth ago, so I hope you got the Gen 4 Glock cause they are awesome!! I have almost 1,000 rounds in my Gen 4 Glock 22 and I've had zero problems!!

  • @damon323 thanks I guess I will buy one here soon

  • @Alexandermayo790084 No problem man. Dont listen to everyone that is claiming that they aren't as reliable cause Gen 4 is built even better. The real story is that when the Gen 4's first came almost two years ago, Glock was putting the recoil spring that's in the .40 into the 9mm. Glock has fixed that problem a long time ago. People that bash on Gen 4 Glocks have no idea what they are talking about. They just repeat what they heard two years ago and blow it way out of porportion with the truth.

  • @damon323

yeah i just got this in my mail, good thing too. thanks for all your help, asta la viesta

  • how much did you pay for this new gen 4?

  • I want a Gen 4, 19 so badly. They got a bad rap, but not every company can be perfect. Glock was trying to make a broad stroke in fixing the .40s with a stiffer spring, yet applied that to the .9 mms as well. Oh well. Now that the 04 spring's out, I need to get this gun.

  • I just bought the glock 17 3rd gen it's by far the best hand gun ive shot

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • I prefer the 4th gens by far. They shoot so much nicer. Glock stands behind their guns 150%.They'll update, fix and make improvements on your Glock free of charge while you wait. They'll replace old magazines with new ones, if YOU break the frame they'll replace it. Living in GA not far from Glock helps allot too !

  • Don't you get 3 mags when you buy a new Gen 4? thats what my dealer told me today.

  • Great comparison. Thanks

  • How much is the Glock Gen 4?

  • My Glock gen 4 has been a completely unreliable, troublesome piece of crap. My gen 2 and gen 3's were outstanding. Too bad they had to ruin a good thing. The gen 4's have a terrible reputation and for good reason. I am sure they are not all as bad as mine but a lot of the gen 4's are crap. That is not what glock used to be. They are no longer a company you can consistantly trust like they used to be.

  • @billwright331

What model do you have? I've been looking into getting the G23 and the reviews seem really good, claims are that its an improvement over the Gen 3. The G19 gen 4 has ejector issues for some people because it uses the same recoil spring as the Gen 4 .40 cal. I'm thinking about getting the G23 gen 4 or a G19 gen 3. Which model are you having problems with?

  • @billwright331 The gen 4 Glock 17 had problems with recoil spring but Glock quickly fixed the problem. There hasn't been any other problems. You can send that back to Glock and they WILL fix any and all problems free of charge.

  • Just got me a 4th gen G22 !! Can you make daddy happy ? A 4th gen Glock 22 can !

  • First outing with new Gen 4 Glock 19 today. 200 flawless rounds - shoots like a champ. Very comfortable to shoot with almost no flip or trigger bite. The new frame texture and grip size fits my hand like a glove. Small enough for easy cc but big enough to handle the job. And did I mention accurate...?

  • All Gen 4 Glocks are supposed to come with 3 mags, not two. Many vendors are selling customers pistols with only 2 mags. Maybe to make money off of that 3rd mag, I guess. This is common at gun shows. But people, MAKE SURE TO ASK ABOUT THE 3RD MAGAZINE, if its missing. And DO NOT PAY extra for that 3rd mag. Thanks for the vid guy.

  • how much was it and compared to glock 19 gen3/4?

    Thanks

  • Gen 3 has better sights (night sghts) and the gen 4 has a stiffer trigger pull NFG in my opinion.

  • Is it safe to say that the Gen 4's are not as reliable as Gen 1 - 3 Glocks????

  • It looks like Glock has copied the backstrap idea from the Springfield XDM... Nice touch Glock.

  • People that buy Glocks usually have baggy pants hanging of their asses or they are rookies that get their firearm facts from BET News. Freakin Glock Suckers are the dumbest people around.

  • @runningchance What do you consider a "good" firearm? I find it odd how you stereotype so easy. Im not a huge Glock fan, but do own one. Why not? Anything that goes boom is pretty cool to me. Heck I own a sigma and actually like the gun. I also own Kimbers, Sigs, and many high end hunting rifles. Dont bash people that are only trying to do good for guns. Oh and fyi, I like my pants to fit, and I hate BET. Just dont watch the video if you dont like the content. Its that easy.

  • @bubbacrabb - you are a rookie.

  • @runningchance Also Runningchance, I stopped by your page, to snoop around at the videos you've posted about guns.... NADA! Also appears you're a gun expert Barack Obama fan.... WOW. You must be a flippin genious when it comes to firearms. so much so that you cant even see a threat to owning a firearm. Which leads me to believe that you're just another broke as a joke clown that does not even own a firearm. Likes to talk bad about people that have what he wishes he had. You're a bum.

  • @runningchance your a TARD!!! go suck on obamas nuts some more and come back when you KNOW something about guns. hahahahahaha jackass

  • @runningchance I may not be the best shooter out there, but I don't wear baggy pants and I am not a cop. I am a competition shooter who has had the best luck with Glocks (XDm's aren't bad either), so if I want your opinion about my level of intelligence in my choice of firearms, I will ask you for it, otherwise, just shut up.

  • @smokejumper0110, I was not speaking about your intelligence, I was informing the world about your lack of intelligence. Now pull your pants up rookie and shut the hell up!

  • And yet mostly all law enforcement and military use the glock? Ur an idiot!!!

  • Hmm... looks seems like Runningchance needs a time out.

  • I find the Glock 19 4th generation grip to be ALLOT more aggressive than the 3rd generation.

  • @MrBladeDude - all the grips and ergonics are like cheap plastic crap from taiwan on glocks.

  • @MrBladeDude - people that live in trailer houses buy glocks. Glocks are worthless molded plastic from Taiwan sent into Austria. Only losers own glocks, Glocks are inaccurate, unreliable, and unsafe. Learn something about firearms before you say anything else rookie.

  • @runningchance You are a waste of a life form.

  • @MrBladeDude

that dude is an idiot, are you kidding me a glock is unreliable?

  • @kingofthe40oz I agree. Runningchance is a total idiot and needs a time out!

  • @runningchance Before I read your comment I didn't know a human being was capable of being so stupid.

  • Glocks are good for plinking with FMJ but they have way too many failure to feeds with high quality HP ammo. You should buy a Kimber pro carry. They are so much better self defense weapons. Only rookies carry Glocks.

  • @runningchance No...Get educated please.

  • @MrBladeDude - Glocks are for rookies, rappers and trailer park trash. Glocks are way to unreliable.

  • @runningchance Are you retarded? I've seen glocks that shoot thousands of rounds with no cleaning and still fire precision. Time to do some better research.

  • @stiffdogg06 - glocks are comparable to hi points, good little plinkers but other than that, they are useless.

  • @runningchance U r a fucking idiot. Get a clue. Stick to your Hi points please and leave the real guns for the men. K thanks bye

  • i may stick with the 3rd generation. its got 28 years of known reliability, while 4th gen. has 0.

  • Helpful video...thanks a lot!

  • I swear i thought he was from new zealand.

  • Comment removed

  • i havn't seen many of your vids...yet. but i find it so nice that you are getting mature people on your channel. :D yay for you

  • You can get a Gen 4 in CA. Just use either 10 round mags, or if you have pre-ban high capacity mags, those are fine too. You do need to get the Gen 4 converted to single-shot when you buy it, but you can convert it back once you take possession of it.

  • screw glock. Xd's rule!

  • the gen 4 glocks come with three mags you got jiped

  • @CarBinAsSasSiN4 Mine came with 4 mags.

  • @CarBinAsSasSiN4 : Two, unless you join the GSSC for $35, then they give you the third as a bonus.

  • @CarBinAsSasSiN4 notice he said "2 EXTRA" magazines meaning a total of 3

  • @atoughpunk notice how there are only 2 magazines in the whole video

  • @CarBinAsSasSiN4 wrong

  • will the duel recoil springfrom the gen 4 fit in the rtf frame.

  • you know what the best thing about a gen4 glock??? nothing!! they jam all the time. fuck that. ill stick with my gen 3 until they work out the bullshit kinks.

  • can you put a glock 4th gen slide on the 3rd gen frame or the other way around

or a glock 34 slide on the golck 17 frame

  • Thanks, but I'll buy the Gen 3, instead.

  • @FaganRoberts Agreed, the gen 4 looks like ass just like the 1g did.

  • @Master7770 Thankfully, Glock is still making Gen 3 handguns as well.

  • is there a 4th gen. for all glock models?

  • Interesting video. Ive wanted a Glock 17 G4 since i first heard about them... but im in CA :\

  • @NickDenning3 are they not allowing the Gen4s in california?

  • @dakine425

Local dealer said "nope & as far as i know they never will"

then he explained why... but i forgot :P

  • @dakine425 In California, accessory rails are banned on all guns that have detachable magazines, I believe. Californians have to get pistols that don't have accessory rails, which means they can't own Gen 3 OR Gen 4 Glocks.

Anyone from Cali feel free to correct me if this is wrong, but that's how I understand it.

  • @metalfaust19 To my knowled accessory rails are not banned here in cali...yet. Its pitol grips on rifles with detachable mags that are banned, it doesn't apply to pistols. We can still buy the glocks and similar here in cali...for now lol

  • @dakine425 not really that its a gen 4 its because CA law states no more than 10 rnds capacity

  • @dakine425 The reason why he can't get it in CA, it might have to do with over 10 rounds in the magazine. Cause we all know that 10 rounds are more safe then more then 10 rounds, lol.

  • @dakine425 , I thought they come with 3 high capacity magazines?

  • @dakine425 17's are totally legal. you just need to buy the 10 round mags. we're forced to have to reload more often than the bad guys here >.<

  • @NickDenning3

Get a Glock Gen3 RTF2. Unless you have little girl hands. if you have an RTF2 you're not missing out on much.

  • @eLoRiGiNaL650

"Unless you have little girl hands." hahahaha you basicaly are asking for a fight.

But no... sorry to disapoint but i have med-large hands based on glove size.

    Isnt the RTF2 the Gen4??

  • @NickDenning3

Gen 4 has exchangeable back straps. The 17rtf2 has curved slide serrations, it's a Gen 3 and on the DOJ gun roster.

  • @eLoRiGiNaL650

    Oh cool.

Is it ambi at all? Im lefty shooter so anything ambi is pretty helpful. Thats why im lookin at a KelTec RFB rifle

  • @NickDenning3

It's not ambi, but the Glock 21SF is ambi and on roster.

  • @eLoRiGiNaL650

Whoa im liking that G21SF! Im going to look into it a bit more, thanks bro!

  • @NickDenning3 what? I can get them in Canada, Cali is weak for guns yes?

  • @Icemain

Cali is retarded when it comes to gun laws. I mean they even band a gun that wasnt even real. The law basicaly says the gun with name x isnt aloud in cali but its a gun that was fetured in a movie or a game or something like that. & some of the gun laws are just confuzing. Its a bunch of commie bs

  • @NickDenning3 lol i hope it was a gun from an Arnold movie

  • @NickDenning3 lol i hope it was a gun from an Arnold movie

  • @NickDenning3 The G4 Glocks are availiable in CA just not with hi cap mags.

  • @gregory914

    Are you sure about that?

  • @NickDenning3. You can buy Gen 4 in CA. You have to convert it to single shot and then return all the parts to make it SA again once you pick-up the HG from jail time. Single shot HG are exempt from the list of HG.

  • @jeejay98

Yea ive heard of that but im not trying to have a single shot handgun

  • I love that 33 rd mag. I almost bought a Glock 21 but went with the Glock 17 for the 33 round boom stick.

  • @riolindasucks yea the 33 round magazine is pretty fun to shoot.

  • Especcaly with a Kel tec sub 2000 they except most 9mm pistol mags!

  • @riolindasucks you should have gotten the glock 21. ITS .45 ACP the second most common ammo for handguns and its best to have when the zombies attack.

  • @Randomshit1353 I bought a Springer XD 45. I decided to switch it up a little. I know Glocks are great but I wanted to give the XD a go. The take-down is virtually identical to the Glock, holds 13 rounds and feels good. I do like the lower bore axis on Glocks but I wanted to see how the Springfield holds up. If Glock had a factory 30+ round mag in 45ACP, the 21 would have been my purchase. I'm no fan of after-market mags for pistols. I wanted the 33's before any future bans take place.

  • @riolindasucks I've got one in my G19.

  • @riolindasucks currently they are not available in CA...still...in 2011. the guns have to be submitted to CA DOJ approval process in order to able to be sold in CA. I don't know what is taking so long for them to start the approval process, or if they have, why it is taking so long.

  • @riolindasucks I don't like the excess... I can go through 2 mags accurately faster than most could with the extended mags...

  • thanks for the video, helped my decision on which to buy

  • Hm... looks cool, but they don't touch slide lock at all. It's still old (slim).

  • @rusTORK yea it's not the extended version, but the current extended slide stops do work with the new Gen4

  • @rusTORK This slim design is a feature from glock.

  • Mahalo

  • @Che762x39 much mahalos for watching

  • I have a gen3 that can change from left to right..

  • @djbro16 are you talking about the controls?

  • @dakine425 the mag release on all glock gen3's can switch sides

  • Are you in Hawaii? (Judging from your username). I just bought a G19 Gen4 today =)

  • @stgosrsly I am originally from Hawaii but moved up to the mainland. I know you just got it but how do you like it so far?

  • @dakine425

I see. Had to run away from Hawaii's strict gun laws? ;) I'm super jealous of your 33rd mag. Haha. I haven't shot the G19 yet.. still getting it registered. But the grip (w/o any backstraps) is the perfect size for me. I kinda have small hands, too. And I am loving the new grip texture. Can't wait to take it to the range!

  • Appreciate the video. I had not purchased a Glock due to the grip not fitting my hand very well. I will take another look at the Gen. 4.

Question: Is the magwell beveled for easier magazine loading ?

  • @frankgon4 the magwell is pretty much the same as the Gen3s. At least i can't tell any difference.

  • Thanks for the vid. I'm in the market for a Gen 4 and wanted to take a look. I think you are doing fine. I speak publicly very often and, trust me, it gets easier the more you do it.

    DD

  • just visited the local Glock shop and they stated that the new G19 Gen 4 recoil assembly spring is stamped with a "2" That is the reason for the delay of shipment, they fixed a few problems with the new assembly spring

  • Dude, Your reviews are helpful and a lot of people watch them. i'm not trying to bash on you but please write up a script or think about what you are going to say before you start... there is a lot of pausing and trying to think of words. You explain stuff in detail which is nice but some things take too long so it makes your videos drag out. If you script it and speed it up a touch it would be awesome.

  • @devildog19892147 I know exactly what you mean. It's great constructive criticism. I don't usually speak in public and doing these videos are almost the same thing. I try to do a script and be more organized and it still comes out "awkward". Hopefully the more i do it the more i can improve. HOPEFULLY:)

  • Haha cheap back straps! Glock is losing it, and putting them on takes forever compared to others pistols with Back straps.

  • @MuayThaiReaper101 true glock was behind the times with adjustable backstraps. But once you find which backstrap you are comfortable with you hardly ever take it on or off.

  • RTF1 is the finish found on your 3rd generation gun. RTF2 was the finish found on the guns with the "fish-gill" slide serrations. RTF3 is the finish on your 4th generation. RTF3 is basically a "toned-down" version of RTF2, which most people found too rough.

  • @bingeebob I honestly did not know that. Learn something new every day:) I stand corrected.

  • You should know that you are comparing an RTF3 to an RTF1. What you refer to as the RTF is actually the RTF2.

  • @bingeebob I don't think there is a RTF3. The RTF1 was the rough grip texture with the fish scale slide serration. The RTF2 is the same texture without the serration. Both are still based of the Gen3 model. The one in the video is a Gen3 glock 34 and a Gen4 Glock 17

  • @dakine425 Negative. Glock calls the pebble finish found on guns like your Gen3 RTF1. The super abrasive "pyramid" finish that was on the guns with the "fish-gill" slide serrations is called RTF2. And the finish found on your Gen4 gun is called RTF3, and is essentially a softened version of the very short lived RTF2, which was very rough, and often compared to sandpaper.

  • @dakine425

No, RTF1 is the finish found on your 3rd Generation gun. RTF2 was the finish found on the guns with the fish-gill slide serrations. RTF3 is the finish found on your 4th Generation.

Glock really never started using the RTF term until they came out with RTF2, but there are a few factory advertisements out there that show the different flavours of RTF and their official names.

  • @dakine425

ah, and also, RTF3 is not the same as RTF without the serrations, RTF2 is incredibly rough, and was discontinued because so many people complained that it was too rough, it actually wore holes through lots of people's shirts...

  • good info Bro,Ty

  • will the gen 4 still take the shoulder stock?

  • @adrianrubi Don't think it would, though i could be wrong. The shoulder stock might fit the Gen3 grip channel but the newer gen4 is smaller similar to the SF series with the larger caliber glocks.

  • Thanks for the vid...really informative

  • @nukex69 Thanks for watching
