The original is far better than this for one simple reason. Todays society have been brought up on conflict, disease and famine. It has been fed to them through SKY tv, 24 hour news, etc. So the shock and fear factor is no longer there, in effect we have grown used to it, as can be heard in the singers voices. This wasn't the case when the original was sung, out of nowhere a disaster in Ethiopia had arisen. You can hear the anguish and passion in the singers voices of the original version.
