  • Loaded trucks shouldn't over take loaded trucks when they are only going faster by a small margin. Of course, empty or LTL trucks over taking fully loaded trucks is no big deal, but I never understand it when two loaded trucks get beside each other on a hill. If I know I'm going to be struggling to pass a driver on a hill, I just wait til I get to the peak. nbd

  • just the way it goes sometimes, ol'mate in the caltex baggin his buddy up had a bit more on the pedal so he done the job with out cuttn anyone off and when he pulled out it looked clear anyway so fuck it could make a big difference going threw town with all the lights they got ... as for the traffic didnt take long before everyone was off again .

  • whether its right or wrong I dont know, but trucks who are going only slightly faster than some other trucks, decide to overtake them anyway. I see this all the time. Usually they only takea minute to overtake - this guy didnt seem to take that long. The comment about traffic beig held up back to Withcott is bullshit.

  • I just realized, This was Just before the Floods!!

  • @TheRomperr Nah mate, the date stamp is in an American format, its actually the 1st of October, fuck knows why they do it that way

  • @shaned8845 okay then it was on my birthday. . . haha nice

  • @shaned8845 Because the Julian date sucks!

  • @shaned8845 Because its American Software maybe? :D

  • I think, Cat powered Road Train truck is better stronger than V8 or other engine. Maybe. : P

  • I don't understand why trucks have to overtake each other going up the Toowoomba range. Can't they just stay in the left lane? It makes bugger all difference in saving time going up… Just slows everyone else down.

  • @TimMc333 You are right in saying that, but you are also very wrong.

They tried that shit on Mt Gravatt - Capalaba rd and was a Huge Failure, SOME sections still are, but most is "open".

They also tried this on long uphill sections of the freeway between Newcastle and Sydney, again the idea was abandoned.

It all boils down to commonsense, There is no reason the XL truck should have to stay behind, once he regained momentum he was gone, remember, he was also caught, its just not seen on camera

  • What's the muffled voice saying mate, i can't quite make it out

  • @Truckaholic123 I've added a transcript to the decribtion

  • plain stupid behaviour, pointless, overtaking on a long hill climb is a no no -- unless your light, typical fuckwit tanker driver imho - top heavy n playing games. oh well shit happens...

  • Really doesn't look like it was worthwhile taking over the other Caltex, jack shit difference in speed when they were alongside each other. Love the radio talk at the end. Also neat you can hear the other truckies on the two-way- I'm used to only listening in on the trucks working in Warringah.

  • .. not sure why 1 person dislikes the video. .. I guess patience is a virtue!

  • @StonesDunedin I wondered why too
