Cant you just create a lan network between all your devices using hamachi or any other such device as that or setting up a workgroup yourself. :L These type of far range lan networks are very secure. Then make it an open share network. Or alternatively can't you go into your router (Default gateway Browser) then set your Pc Local IP as the static so that all traffic is directed to the pc ._. ?

no-ip.com is another site that works really good, also you can use a program called xampp which works the same.. Its a little harder to configure than this but it works good

you can check your internet router. When you configure it it asks static or dynamic IP so you just check what you put.

Was more effort in video editting this video then process of setting up FTP. I setup my own FTP server oh when i was 17 but i used 128 bit SSL encryption login/pw, with certificate requirement. With a non-standard FTP port. However, for personal use FTP is outdated as portable storage is so cheap. Only real use is for FTP is to essentially to turn a computer into a big hard drive thats accessible from the net. Thus meaning you must have a fervent grasp of network security to keep your data safe
