  • Doyle Bramhall II is amazing. So underrated it's sad. : (

  • 4 people don't live in a dream...

  • Writing credit given to Brad Beheler from galleywinterdotcom: "For years talk of a reunion tour and album circulated like wildfire only to be put out each time the guys were seen on someone else's project.Meanwhile, their self-titled debut album endures. It’s the type of album that other musicians share an affinity for. I’ve yet to meet a guitar player in the modern Texas scene that is not strongly influenced and infatuated with this album. (article continued in post below)

  • (continuation of article from above post) :Arc Angels finally reunited to perform at SXSW in 2009 and released a live album that spurred rumors of a soon to be released studio album that fans are still clamoring for. With sporadic, must-see tour dates popping up from time to time we still wait and still listen to the Arc Angels super influential debut album.

  • Who the hell is Shane Mouw

  • @joediver1119 Well he my cousins uncle but idk He works for Pop Evil now anyways so nvm hes a guita player look it up on google. xD He has like this rockstar long hair lmfao its funny but hes AMAZING!

  • Is Shane Mouw in tis band in this time? Or was tht later?

  • One of my all time Fav bands!

  • I've interviewed Doyle several times, and I've also interviewed Charlie. and indeed both are amazing, singers, songwriters, guitarists and both have evolved and come so far since this phenomenal song & their first Arc Angels days & album. 2 of Texas's most talented artists.

  • i could have sworn it was KWS on guitar! just heard it in the car. done my research now

  • Charlie's voice is very rock n roll and Doyle's solo adds so much to the song! Great!

  • Doyle and Sheryl Crow? I thought she was still banging Kid Rock.

  • These guys are good players, but they just don't write good songs... Sorry.

  • I have fond memories of listening to the Arc Angels while we were rehearsing and writing songs at Austin rehearsal complex ...Great times...I was lucky enough to meet Tommy Shannon (SRV) when he graced us with his presence and stopped by to say hello one day.....thanks for the great songs and great memories guys...!

  • Fuck you we're from TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why aren't these guys on the radio?

  • Bramhall plays the fu@king guitar strung upside down!!... WTF! Check him out on Roger Waters live album playing "Dogs" from Pink Floyd Animals... upside fu@kin'n down!! He is the real deal !

  • These guys are some cool mother Fu@&ers!Kicking ass in the 2000s.Rock on Boys

    regards from the blues lover.>Peace

  • A NEW Arc Angels album due out this year! Bramhall and Sexton have said that they were made to work together and made a big mistake the first time around. One that wont be happening again.

  • @joediver1119 HAS THIS HAPPENED YET ?;-)

  • @SimonYoungJames Not to my knowledge. A good friend of mine growing up is in the business, actually he's widely regarded as one of the best guitarists on the planet - Richie Kotzen (Poison, Mr. Big), and is close friends with Doyle and after seeing your msg I called him to see if he knew anything. He told me that their still writing material and are determined that this new album be as good as the first. In the meantime you check out Richie. If you like Doyle you'll love him.

  • @joediver1119 : I don't mean to butt into your conversation. But I have to say that Kotzen's been one of my favourites for years ("Fever Dream" was my first disc of his I bought because of Guitar For The Practicing Musicain's review) and it's a absolute shame that Richie still doesn't get his due. If people only knew how talented he is and what great music he makes folks would be in for a treat! Richie's amazing still after all these years!

  • @JJJJay That was really nice what you said. We've been friends since we were kids growing up across the street from each other and are still like brothers. Rich really doesn't get his due (partly his own stubborn-ass fault). He was great when we were kids and he's still great all these years later but I can tell you he's an even better person. Rich would do anything for anybody and considering his talent couldn't be more humble and down-to-earth

  • I saw them at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano,Ca. Around 1990. THEY WERE BAD ASS!

  • vevo goofs won't let me put this on facebook.what assholes,i won't watch you again vevo GOOFS!

  • A band that ABSO-FRIGGIN"-LUTELY should have continued. Shannon and Layton holding down the bottom for Sexton and Bramhall - c'mon, what the fuck were they thinkin' by throwing in the towel after one album.

  • one of my favorite albums of all time!!!

  • There not the same today without Tommy Shannon !!!

  • sounds like a mix of Bad Company meets Midnight Rider by the Allman Bros.

  • This is one of the greats in my books....a rock classic

  • Love that song!

  • R I P Stevie Ray Vaughan.

  • One of my top ten favorite bands. **Cheers**

Always a good day when I hear one their songs.

  • I always have trouble breathing when I watch Charlie play...

  • love arc angels.

  • Every member of this band are awesome musicians!!

  • It's funny. When this first came out i didn't dig it. Now i love it.

  • i was still reelin' after we lost stevie ray when i saw them in corpus christi in 92 i was expecting them to pick up the texas blues/rock flag and was bummed when they disbanded

  • Still good after eighteen years. I wish these guys would put out a new cd. We need some good rock n' roll for a change. Most modern rock is terrible.

  • is that the old Cowboy stadium in the background ?

  • I didnt know Penn Jillette was in a band XD

  • @InFaDeLiTy Penn NEVER looked like that.

  • Charlei Sexton is a sexy MOFO I like his long hair here!!!

  • such a good song

  • Charlie Sexton...awesome musician and performer & a seriously HOT piece of ass!!! ROOOOOWR!!!

  • playing upside down, why bother?

  • Saw them in Albuquerque, NM, small bar. Was feet away from the band...awesome. The bar's closed now . . . as is the band. I was amazed at their stage sound and presence. Come back, ARC ANGELS!!!

  • @mckenziemd I herad the Band just got back together about a year ago. You know something else?

  • @mckenziemd they have already they reunited last year. all of the band members are back except tommy shannon the bassist otherwise charlie and all them are back.

  • sent by Angels!

  • saw this band with Muddy Waters & yes they are amazing! These guys should be bigger than most of the bands out there today....

  • great song almost as good as sent by angels

  • Fantastic group with alot of talent!

  • ...they can play no wrong!!!! Rockin' Freakin' Rock and Roll at it's best !!!!

  • yup only 1 player from dbl trouble missing

    Reese

    lol

  • @yaesuman1234 thatis a good point i didnt realize that i forgot about him I dont know how though he is an amazing player.

  • Incredible song...makes me think of Catherine Zeta Jones....If only....

  • Having Tommy Shannon & Cris Layton on your card never hurts.

  • This was going to be my favorite band. After SRV died I was desperate for that sound, energy, devotion to the music that other bands lacked. Arc Angels were a true Supergroup of talent and the world of music really needs something like this to arrive and save us all from the crap that is popular music. Hope these guys are doing well !!

  • @freenovascotia saw them a couple of years ago as support band to Eric Clapton, they were amazing. If my memory serves me right time 2 years before that I'm sure Doyle Bramhall was in EC's backing band when I saw him them. Can never work out why this band wasn't huge.

  • @freenovascotia Totally agree. I, too, craved that OFF THE CHAIN Texas blues-rock sound after SRV died. I couldn't believe talent like Doyle, Charlie, and the rest of SRV's band didn't become HUGE in the music industry. Believe me, after almost 19 years, I've given up the hope that they'de get back together but I've never stopped being bummed about that fact.

  • @jammyjoyful I saw them live in Albuquerque, small club,Charlie gave me a copy of their,Arc-Angels new CD,they blew the place away, what a great show..Was hoping they would stay together, not in the cards,It's hard keeping a Band together as one unit, one band...

  • brings back so good times

  • best southern super group ever, no one can challenge

  • @bryjag1965 bullshit

  • great song here

  • Chris Latin (Drummer) lives down the street from me :P

  • w w w.r o a d r u n n e r s .i n f o .s e

Check this site out. Those members looks just exactly like this bands members!

  • great song!!

  • Austin,TEXAS!

  • Charlie Sexton is amazing

  • Can't get enough of these guys!!!!!

  • still it thrills me like the first time.....amazing amazing ..

    lovelove love looove it!

  • Doyle is an excellent musician.....

  • oh when I saw them he was all decked out Stevie Ray Vaughn style, hat and flowing bandanas,,,sheeshh that was so long ago. What ever happened to these guys anyway?

  • Their still around and play shows from time to time. Just put a new cd/dvd combo. Doyle plays like SRV because they actually grew up together. SRV his one of his biggest influences. When not playing together Doyle plays with Clapton and Roger Waters, does a PHENOMENAL job in filling in for Gilmore. Sexton still does his solo stuff ... GREAT blues guitar players ... Shame mainstream kind of forgot about these guys ...

  • Another fave of mine...I have so darn many.........Just listen, cuz he sings what I feel..... IF U were mine, I would!

  • @whipzter ty for the reply.....NOW I remember the name charlie Sexton.. LOL Thought he was sexy as hell, funny when work and life get in the way and people disappear from the fast lane they never really existed, except for that moment in time. as far as ANYONE EVER filling in for Gilmoure, that's ok I suppose, but I tend to say "resemble" come on now NO ONE CAN ever really replicate anyone else at ANYTHING..... but it does make for nice entertainment if done with honor~~

  • Is that Matt Dillion on stage left guitar?

  • No, it's Charlie Sexton....they do favor each other a little though....

  • Saw these guys at the Agora Ballroom in Dallas, Texas. Nuff said.

  • WOW, tour please!

  • greattt!!!

  • Love IT!

  • still amazing after almost 20 years

  • @atrain670

Good grief, has it been nearly 20 years? Seems like yesterday. Sounds trite but I'll say it anyway -- life is short.
