OMG, you brought back memories! I arrived on Guam just after Typhoon Pamela in June 1976. Took many a trek to BAB ("Bare Ass Beach"). You guys seemed more ambitious! Great snorkeling just past the fringe reef at BAB.
There was a pervert, civililan teacher who went to BAB and would hit on guys. Once I was laying out at the very entrance of BAB, he was all the way at the opposite end. He walked all the way over and asked if I wanted to join him! Join him in what!
Thanks for posting this. I went on many a boonie stomp myself from barracks 294 while stationed there in '78 & '79. I worked up on the north side of the station at the receiver site.
