He worked for Pixologic (makers of Zbrush). He is a really great teacher. I have been learning Manga Studio 4 EX, but should be posting more Zbrush stuff by March.
Good work! You know, you could have used the twist deformation tool to create the handle. Basically, in Shadowbox mode, you create a circle with slight gear teeth then make it long (IE draw a rectangle from the side view). Then, in the deformation menu, select twist and use it to twist along the length. It should give you the same handle type.
@revanto Thank you. I'm still really new at this and really haven't played with the deformations as much as I should. I just tried your suggestion. Very cool effect. I definitely have to keep that in mind as I'm trying new things out.
