you mean mp4? you can download them of youtube using youtube downloader (freeware) and then convert them to the appropriate format using the same software. then simply click and drag.
Use "any video converter" and use it to convert videos to "custom wmv" the quality is undamaged and hte walkman plays it without a hesitation. the software is free.
I bought my Sony Walkman last September and never looked back. Best decision I've probably ever made electronic wise. I have 866 songs and still have lots of music to put on it [4gb]. The only problem is, the earphones that come with the player are very cheap because the left ear bud stopped working about a month 1/2 later, but i prefer Sony over Ipods any day.
The same thing happened with the stock earphones I got with my Walkman. They're great compared to most stock earphones, but I think the cables and plugs are very susceptible to damage.
Nowadays with UE earphones I try to avoid wrapping and winding them, and instead I lay them down straight on a surface or hang them from a hook.

it can, whether you notice is another matter, cheaper bluetooth headphones are low quality and couldn't put out much quality to begin with. its simply a limit of the low blutooth bandwidth requiring compression. if you want maximum quality, use corded headphones of good quality. the ones that are included are pretty decent which is rare among mp3 players. any actual benefit of bluetooth headphones tends to be insignificant compared to the hassles involved.

I higly recom that sony walkman :). sound quality of those earbuds is amasing, almost like Koss PortaPro sound in smaller size. I have same earbuds. Sony make good mp3-players, it is true.
i had both an ipod and a walkman, the ipod is soo inferior to the walkman that its rediculous that they exist on the same market! just the fact that they give you decent headphones and dont charge extra for all the accessories is a plus. sound of the walkman is miles ahead of the ipod, plus i think this one allows you to delete files on the go. if it doesnt, sony should look into that for the next one, due in about 6 months time..

thats easy. use image converter 3, it should come with the player. if you dont like to use that (i dont see why not because it is one of the easiest converter i ever used), then look for a converter that converts any video to MPEG4 since that video format works pretty much on every sony divice that plays videos.

as for converter, SUPER, or xilisoft both work for me. i like xilisofts batch conversion. there are tons of others out there.
i'd suggest the version without bluetooth. identical in all other aspects. lower quality sound is nothing something you want to pay extra for! bluetooth is horrible for music.

its just a fact of the limited bandwidth of blue tooth requires music to be recompressed on the fly once again to send it to the headphones. and i doubt its that great a compression considering its done on the fly, and has to not be so intensive that it ruins battery life. its a compromised design from the start.
that makes sense, however i still believe sooner or later blutooth headphones will replace yesterday headphones, when it fixes and overcomes all the down side blutooth headphones comes with. until then i guess people should stick with their wired head phones.
yes perhaps as battery tech continues to improve so it becomes less of a burden to use and if a new generation of blue tooth or whatever comes out with more bandwidth so music doesn't have to be compressed. but at the moment it is a lot of sacrifice for an inferior experience. i think senn has some uncompressed wireless phones but its not bluetooth, its proprietary tech.
ok after more use i take back my suggestion of super, its slow. for h.264 encodes use media coder instead. turn off bframes, cabac and use baseline 1.3 with 0 predictor frames.
handbrake works also, use level=13:bframes=0:cabac=0 in the advanced tab

810 asymmetrical design is better for right hand control. I can actually hold it well but I cannot imagine holding something like that where the d-pad is all the way down at the bottom with one hand safely
This is AWESOME. I was going to get the NWZ-810 but I wasn't really digging the asymmetrical design. This is nicely designed, very industrial. Plus bluetooth is great - I can see myself using it.
Pay no attention to coolnetboy, he doesn't know a thing. 1st this unit is 2.4" LCD, Bluetooth build-in, and now until with 16GB capacity. I'm after NW-A829 unit. Hope the price will be right, thx Sony.

That's just an adapter that you snap onto the docking station (sold separately). It's only meant to hold your Walkman in place when you buy the dock.

I really don't see the reason for all the fuss around the fact that A820 hasn't got a memory card . Wtf?! I have a lot of music , but i don't feel the need to carry all of my songs.I think 16 gb are enough (and btw , I think Ipod sucks next to Sony...now kill me Ipod fans)

Do I see that right? No SDHC Slot? What the fuck..? I hate that Steve Jobs style. Ok, nobody must buy that. Thake a look to the Cowon D2, nearly the same but cheaper with more features. The sony is a little more handy but a to bad combination. Nice try Sony.

in some ways the sony is more practical in actual use.
depends on your usage style. cowin has its advantages, but it has its downsides as well.

thats easy. use image converter 3, it should come with the player. if you dont like to use that (i dont see why not because it is one of the easiest converter i ever used), then look for a converter that converts any video to MPEG4 since that video format works pretty much on every sony divice that plays videos.

This look's like a decent mp3 player it's almost exactly the same as the previous model's execpt this one has blue tooth capabilities but who want's to listen to an mp3 player with a bluetooth just use headphones, it also just features a bigger screen , overall sony makes decent sound quality mp3 players , you can't go wrong with buying this player or any of the last previous models there all just great, sony rules,

tell me this, if sony makes decent quality sound, then what player makes a really good sound? and as for its blue tooth, trust me i kno a lot of people who wants a bluetooth head set for their player without have a bulk reciever hanging with the player. if you still don't really give a damn about the blutooth, then buy the other model where there is no bluetooth. my only complain is that they have no radio, plus they dont have a built in head phone with their smaller model.

yea the only real disappointments is lack of fm. its not that big, its just that their previous player had it so its like..why not?
as for converter, SUPER, or xilisoft both work for me. i like xilisofts batch conversion. there are tons of others out there.
i'd suggest the version without bluetooth. identical in all other aspects. lower quality sound is nothing something you want to pay extra for! bluetooth is horrible for music.

its just a fact of the limited bandwidth of blue tooth requires music to be recompressed on the fly once again to send it to the headphones. and i doubt its that great a compression considering its done on the fly, and has to not be so intensive that it ruins battery life. its a compromised design from the start.

that makes sense, however i still believe sooner or later blutooth headphones will replace yesterday headphones, when it fixes and overcomes all the down side blutooth headphones comes with. until then i guess people should stick with their wired head phones.

yes perhaps as battery tech continues to improve so it becomes less of a burden to use and if a new generation of blue tooth or whatever comes out with more bandwidth so music doesn't have to be compressed. but at the moment it is a lot of sacrifice for an inferior experience. i think senn has some uncompressed wireless phones but its not bluetooth, its proprietary tech.

ok after more use i take back my suggestion of super, its slow. for h.264 encodes use media coder instead. turn off bframes, cabac and use baseline 1.3 with 0 predictor frames.
handbrake works also, use level=13:bframes=0:cabac=0 in the advanced tab

Nothing pricey? Although the sound quality is unmatched the announced price of €320 is quite a lot of money for such a simple 16GB player. (I will get one eventually but still...)
In US it will probably cost less though.

810 asymmetrical design is better for right hand control. I can actually hold it well but I cannot imagine holding something like that where the d-pad is all the way down at the bottom with one hand safely

This is AWESOME. I was going to get the NWZ-810 but I wasn't really digging the asymmetrical design. This is nicely designed, very industrial. Plus bluetooth is great - I can see myself using it.

Well unlike other companies, which uses decade old sound chips over and over...
Sony, Toshiba and few others actually uses newly developed sound chips. That's why Sony sounds so good, and I continue to buy from them.
Now, NWZ series has moved away from SonicStage and adopted WMP11, Winamp, drag-n-drop, it's getting better.
