@jagborisundsvall2 - in the UK you have to maintain control of the vehicle at all times. If you have to wait a few seconds then you have to apply the handbrake, otherwise you could roll back, or move forward in the event of a touch from behind.. potentially hitting a car or pedestrian (even if they aren't there). So, the general rules is - if waiting, apply the handbrake. This also allows easier control of the "bite" of the clutch, so avoiding stalls.
