I own 1 pair of boots and flip flops. I'm picky when I buy shoes because I HATE to have my feet in pain - it is so important to be comfortable in your shoes cuz those will be the first thing to fuck up your day. I don't mind spending a lot of money on a pair of shoes if they will last a long time. Comfortable and durable. Expensive shoes are not unnecessary, if anything expensive ones are necessary to maintain your health. Your knees/ankles rely on your shoes, walking/running rely on your knees.

Omg! I had the same experience with a big drop at a carnival. It is kinda similar. Me and my friend were riding and it was the last time and it went to the bottom and it started going up by itself and we were still on.
