there is a such thing as blacknroll which is what darkthrones newer stuff is. it mixes a bit of punk. plus there are elements of the "punk sound" within some CF songs if you listen closely and theres nothin wrong with that. and crust punk is more towards the metal side aswell as grindcore with its punk influences so the 2 can intermingle. although your comment is very ignorant and prob the reason metalheads get shit from other subcultures. just enjoy the song dude

The old mayhem demos were punk influenced, as is basically every Darkthrone album. CF plays in an older style, so it's natural they have a punkish aesthetic

But don't expect Maniac to break out into Rebel Yell or something. It is still black metal, with shrieks, ungodly distortion and all. As for Venom, Welcome to Hell sounds like a blackened punk album to me, and Black Metal works along that line pretty much.
