  • If you're going to compare every orchestra against John Williams versions, of course they are going to be inferior. However, each musician here is giving it everything they have. If you are the same calibre or higher..then bitch away..otherwise, sit down, shut up, and appreciate art.

  • I love this beautiful arrangement and playing!

  • Playing this on an orchestra course in April. Extremely excited.

    Gorgeous playing.

  • Star Wars has NEVER disappointed me!

  • Lol the stars wars main theme the thing is one octave low

  • @OldChikity haha,you're right!

  • "I Love You"

    "Fuck Off"

    Sorry Wrong Version

  • @Deathlygunn

But to be honest, the best version.

  • How can you idiots nitpick about this stuff. I've heard the same damn version of this song for 30-plus years and it's REFRESHING to hear a different take on it. Sometimes purists are so goddam annoying. By the way, it's just a f---ing movie for chrissakes.

  • bad quality but the force is strong in this song

  • i think this is the London Symphony Orchestra... which does most of john williams movie themes.

  • Erm.. it clearly says in the video description which orchestra it is (hint: not the LSO)

  • shit cover

  • Well, maybe when the new star wars comes out, John will stick to his old guns and make more music like this for it :). Oh yea. Forgot. They are making another star wars movie. Mark Hammill, Harrison Ford, Karrie Fisher (LEIA) and James Earl Jones (Not sure why) will be starring. Wait: is vader not but dead? How could the voice of vader be back, and not as vader?

  • @Anthaleus

There will be no Star Wars sequel trilogy. So your comment is mostly null and void.

Maybe when the Live Action Star wars TV Show comes out, they will bring back John Williams.

  • Well I can admit I could be misinformed. The one who told me works for Lucas Studios. I mean, he is way hardcore about Star Wars, so maybe he just fed bad info "hoping" lol. John Williams though, a true mastermind of music. Complete brilliance.

  • That guy has even been outed in Star Wars Insider as a lying sack of shit.

  • star wars saga best ending

  • Why can't this stuff come to my hometown.

  • it must have been awesome hearing this live in person!

  • Exploring Leia... love that song.. i think it's from episode VII.... The Untold Truth

  • I would love to Explore Leia, lol, sorry dumb comment from a 14 yr old.

  • Nothing Dumb about it... ;-)

Like sidious said in ep III.

    Only some might consider UnnN..A..turall..

    (Kidding of course)

    K

  • mee two

  • wow she is playing all o the end credits for ESB

  • Amazing Music...Genius

  • whats the star wars song name when luke looks at the two suns on a new hope??

  • Binary Sunset. I think.

  • i love that song

  • The track is "Binary Sunset" and the song is the Force Theme. There is no concert version of the Force Theme, but it is littered throughout all the movies in different forms. It's one awesome theme.

  • It's at the beginning of this video, actually. From the beginning through 0:28.

  • yes i like that music too , my favourite.

try to search with the name "yavin explore"

  • Luke, looking at two suns.

  • was that directed at me?? lol

  • Are you the one?

  • well was the one who wanted to know that song lol

  • joar, very nice - okay

  • whats the name of the really slow played star wars theme at the very beginning of this vid? (0:00-0:09) does anyone know the title? i cannot find it anywhere.... simply love that version of the sw theme..

  • The Rebel Fleet/End Title. You can find it in the 2004 edition for the soundtrack.

  • "I love you."

    "I know."

  • best love reply ever... XD

  • if you consider all the brilliant soundtracks john williams has created you'd have to consider him a complete genius. i think only ennio morricone or bernard herrmman come close.

  • Stephen Sondheim? Michael Nyman?

  • YOu're forgetting Japanese famous composer, Koji Kondo! Or haven't you heard the Super Mario Bros. Theme?

  • I saw houston symphony play John Williams music last Friday. Beautiful music. Gave you chills.

  • Excellent playing of the orchestra. A bit shaky with the hand-held camera !! Forgiven.

  • Ok here you go trombones rule!!

  • the trombones actually were out of tune in lots of places...same with piccolo...great performance in general thogh!

  • It must be great to be thaer in the orchestra and Play It Great 10/5 Makes me shiver wen i hear all of star-wars Live orchestra..

  • Great! It must have been wonderful to hear that live. But they skipped my favorite part at 2:40 and that one note at 1:35 was off. It was still very good though.
