WHY CAN'T TWO BROTHERS KISS ON YHE CHEEKS -MY WORRY IS THAT THERE MAY NOT BE LIFE IN THE AFTERWORLD!!! HAAA SISTERS AND BROTHERS ENJOY YOURSELVES AS MUCH AS YOU MAY -HERE WHILST YOU ARE LIVE AND KICKING!!!!----
Great song.... @ Thumbemamit i doubt that the song refers to a Luo man Odongo...@ Aboubacar... Let me know who is Lola Checain & who is Simaro Lutoumba Masiya, & who is Djo Mpoyi, coz you posted ''Mandola'' and referred to the vacalist as ''Lutumba''. in other videos you refer to the handsome ''Mandola singer as ''Djo Mpoyi'' and in others have noted he is referred t as Lola Checain... please clarify!!!
Odongo is aKenyan name from the Luo tribe, could they have song about an Odongo in Kenya? The Luos are predominantly from Kisumu region where the stadium wall was brought down by Franco fans when he came to perform in the 80s. Lwambo swore never to come back to Kisumu, but guess what...he came back and gave one of his greatest performances to a full house at the same stadium. He loved Kisumu.
I love this song, thanks to whoever provided it. I always thought that this song was recorded outside OK Jazz band known as a 'Nzong nzing', because Sam was not an effective member of Ok Jazz. Just like with Faute ya commercant. I am sure no-one else could done this and get away with it: make a song outside the band. I want to know if this was a privilege given to Luambo/Lutumba, or a treat from Sam Mangwana. whatever the answer, i loved the song and still love it.
Sam Mangwana's 'permanent flu' gave him one of the greatest voices of all times. I also agree with Aboubacar that Franco was even better at singing. And boy, could he play guitar. Could somebody tell me who the singer in "Coupe De Monde' is.
Yeah, I suppose they're kissing. Anything wrong with that? You're mentioning Josky, but as far as I am concerned, Sam Mangwana never sounded better than when he was backed by Lola Chécain.

Would this be the Brigadier Odongo that Arap Moi was so obsessed with in the 1990s?
