@xKHAOT1Kx I love this guitar and would recommend it to anyone, only thing is floating bridges aren't for everyone so you may want to consider that when purchasing.
@Rebound443 would you mind explaining what the ups or downs of floating bridges are? I've been playing for a while, but never really looked into other guitars or other possibilities, so i dont know much about them.
@xKHAOT1Kx I bought this guitar about 3 weeks ago and have over 20 years of experience and guitar playing and have owned numerous guitars. I paid $350 for it at Guitar Center (after holiday clearance) and it's worth every penny. As far as the Edge III Tremolo( floating bridge) it's a nice tremolo system I think I like better than the typical Floyd Rose. This type of bridge allows for the dive bar(whammy bar) to be used without the strings going out of tune.
@epicbikerguy The pros of this type of locking bridge is that once you tune the guitar it pretty much stays in tune with lots of play. When I bought it and tuned it I've only had to put the G string a little bit back into tune after 2 weeks of hardcore jamming. The con is that you'll have to do some research on how to set it up properly which could last you an entire night if you're not familiar with a system of this kind. However the Ibanez forums is an incredible resource.
@NotoriusWhitey No to the fret buzz, unless you put really heavy gauge strings on it. In regards to tuning problems, it's a bitch to tune initially but that's the same with all floyd's, but after that you don't need to tune it again for a while so I'd say it's fine.
@techdechcentral depends on what state it's in right out of the box, i did get mine set up though, but this video was shot pretty much right out of the box.
i think (dont quote me on it) you play the mainriff wrong. i might be mistaken, but i hear a half step bend on that F powerchord (3rd fret). sounds more like the song, at least to me. other than that, reaaally clean playing (some minor mistakes in the solo, but i'm sure you'll get that down eventually). keep it up, man! oh and, do you always play with delay during the rhythm sections?
@guitarguy2691 Ah yeah man I hear that bend too. I used to play it like that but I think I stopped over time for some reason haha. No I try not to, but trying to change the settings on my POD in the middle of a song is too hard :/
Sounds nice. im considering this guitar, would you recommend it, or would you say there are any better for the price of about 500?
