Lol "Thou shalt not commit Adultery" when u watch porn you lust, which creates adulterous thoughts in your head which means porn=adultery=sin. It's all throughout the Bible. Know your material before starting a weak argument. Men were created to be attracted to nudity, that's just how it is. So it's hard not to but prayer and repentance will get you through. Next!
You know in some crazy absurt way your actually right. God didn't say its a sin its people that read things and understand the way they want to understand. They tweak the words and then put guilt to the people who are weak minded. The subject of porn or masturbation are kind of foggy in the bible so we will never know. It can be right or wrong ether way its unclear.
so the bible is saying having a perv mind is a sin all i can say is learning about this has killed me deep in side so every time i have a perv thought with hentie now i feel like i'm doing a bad thing and now it feels like im going to hell for every perv thought that i had even though I'm a good person I'm also cathlic
God made it so you were born perverted so that he could send you to hell. But by some strange quirk, he also loves you, so he tortured himself to death so he wouldn't have to torture you for eternity. God loves pain and suffering.
@tCp711 i don't want to make assumptions about you but i'm guessing you believe that satan is real. Am I right? If I am right then i'm going to have to say that you're a moron! The whole concept of "sin" is laughably absurd. It takes a fact of life and tries to compound it as a "sin". For example, if lust was a "sin", then nobody would have ever been attracted to the opposite sex much less would have ever had sex with the opposite sex. The concept of sin is retarded.
According to the bible any form of lust is a sin. Lust is by DEFINITION a sinful desire, it is not a positive word.
Now Jesus says when you lust after a woman, you have committed adultery with her in your heart. The same principle stands for hatred and murder. Wouldn't that than not also be the case for fornication.
Paul says man should marry to prevent sexual immorality. What is that immorality, if everything is allowed anyways.
And btw statistically, porn is shown to be harmful.
Is it lust when you desire a woman who does not exist? Maybe you are the sort who likes erotic sculpture, comic books or art and not photographs or strip clubs. Indeed, how can it be lust when the object of your desire is no less then a series of lines, curves and angles? What I have shown you is a loophole that shows the ridiculousness of prohibitions on lust.
BTW, give me a reliable and peer reviewed statistical source on the harms of porn or I don't believe you.
The lust after a woman is the sin doesn't matter if it is a fake or real woman, it is the act in the mind. It is not that the harm to the woman alone that makes it sinful. After all, most of the time the woman doesn't know you are lusting after her, but that doesn't make it less sinful. If you look at anything else than your spouse it is immoral.
The bible frequently tells us to have pure thoughts and focus on good things, what do you think Jesus thinks of those immoral comics?
So you believe it is possible to lust for something that doesn't exist and it be a sin?
I have no reason to believe that Jesus would care about the comics people read. Humans are hardwired to be sexual creatures, which is how we are created to be. When those needs go unfulfilled, those parts of the brain influence your entire thinking. They cannot be switched off except by either fornicating or masturbating when you lack a "Bible Approved" sexual outlet.
I will send the website of the survey in a message these are some quotes:
41 percent of surveyed adults admitted they felt less attractive due to their partner’s pornography use
47.78 percent of families said pornography is a problem in their home
My point is this: if you look at woman in such a perverted way, it will affect how you love your wife. And in Gods eyes it is a sin. You don't give a child a comic full which people get raped.
Those "facts" are bullshit. They are answers to how people "feel" which is influenced by cultural perceptions and other psychosocial biases. It doesn't mean that their really is a problem, only that some people think that their might be. Clearly, you have such a bias and don't understand how "love mapping" works.
Unless you can demonstrate that pornography causes actual harm, I can only conclude that your perception of a problem is due only to your uptight attitudes about sex.
It may not be exaclty the same. But the term fornication generally refers to sexual immorality. But what is sexual immorality? There are places in the bible where sex before marriage is referred to as sexual immorality for example.
Biblically, sex is equated to as marriage, because of the "The two become one" act.
In the old days, marriage was just a process where you moved in, and the ceremony was so the community was informed. Once the person hit 13, the person was then considered adult, quickly barmitzvahed and married. Marriage was arranged, rather than "I want to live with you."
The act they refer to as sexual immorality is promiscuity or sex without commitment.
Well your conclusions are correct yes. It is sex without commitment. But the things is, in the bible commitment is directly linked with marriage. You cannot commit without getting married.
In the new testament things are little bit more clear on this subject.
1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Twittering is not a correct way to announce that your married. You are not married when you move in together. It different from getting married. Look at the statistics. people living together split up much more quickly. And although you live in the same house, you live 2 different lives.Living together is just a cheap substitute for getting married. It is a relationship without commitment (after all you can get out any time you want). It has nothing to do with 2 becoming one.
Just because many people do that doesn't mean all people do that. Some people have actually truly commited themselves to each other, even without the paper.
If you see the celebrity marriages, you can see many are not actually commited. Even though they get de jure married, tons of them split up after a while.
So if that is true, then you shouldn't have sex before moving in to fulfill the biblical command right? You cant simply sleep around and call that biblical.
I disagree that all porn is art, because some of it is just shit made for people with no sense of taste or sophistication. But yes, you can find real beauty in genuine love between two people.
@FlowCell well i wouldnt say a black guy screwing a barely legal aged girl in a bathroom with his mate recording it on a cam corder is art, im talking about the professional guys who are in the porn industry who make high end porn
I couldn't disagree more. We are discovering more and more that beauty, or rather the perception of it, has been crafted by natural selection over millions of years. Universal to all cultures is the appreciation of virtuoso in any given type of art, even when the culture doing the appreciating isn't the culture who created the art.
Evolution programmed us to be this way. It helps us find better mates.
thank you so much for this video dude you brought up so many good points that DESTROY the LIES about porn. It's so hard to be an unmarried christian teen in this country and not be constantly tempted to commit adultery and fornicate without looking at porn and being attacked.
This is, in fact, exactly why I made this video. I feel quite strongly that the Church's stand on porn is not only Biblically unsound, but comes from a tradition that sex is inherently bad, and its particularly bad in the USA. Practically no where else in the "Christian" world are people this uptight about the human body as America.
Porn destroys people. many people are addicted to porn... thats terrible, it ruins you're future relationships, anyone who denies this, is lying to themself!!!
Then how do you explain Penn Jillette's happy relationship with his wife? They went to go see a porno together when they were just starting their relationship.
I'll agree that anybody who uses porn as a substitute for a real relationship while in one probably has some life issues to deal with, but I can't see how moderate use is harmful in any way. You have no evidence to support your claim beyond your own social programing.
Penn Jillette's happy relationship, can be an exeption. i don't say that it destroys every single person. but i know that you can get addicted to porn. many of my friends and myself don't want to watch it, but can't stop. I'm happy to see that we agree. that you should put you're GF or wife before Porn ;)
Are you familiar with the notion that any contradiction to a statement invalidates that statement? Either Porn is destructive or it isn't in and of itself. If their are exceptions, then you have to explain why and refine your theory. If you can't then you only care about cherry picking data that proves your point.
Cooking with fire doesn't always get you burned and growing cactus doesn't always get you pricked. The why of the matter is what's important.
Why are religious people soooo obsessed with sex? Sex is such a basic need for humans (like eating, sleeping, etc..). It's so natural and so pleasurable. I honestly don't get it. And by the way, a sin means a mistake. I'm not sure when or why people began to equate the word sin with evil. If you're not honest with yourself, you're not going very far people. Good job FlowCell.
There are some ex-porn stars that say otherwise, and agree with JF777's opinions. Shelley Lubben, Crissy Moran and Nadia Stylez for example, have all dropped from porn due to issues with their professional life and turned to faith.
But it's all subjective and anecdotal. You don't know their reasons for going in to porn or what prompted them to convert. For all I know, they are just disgruntled, so this proves nothing.
Sexual freedom is a powerful catalyst for social change, periods of greatest sexual freedoms and the availability of pornography/erotica have throughout history coincided with times of greatest economic and scientific advances.
In countries where censorship and suppressed attitudes towards sexual freedom, take the USA for example; indeed states that are less progressive thinking and attitudes towards sexual freedom are generally less progressive and productive in most if not all other ways...
Also areas that have restricted vision regarding sexual freedom, often support if not partake in the celebration of violence and greed as a consumer spectator sport.
this "mental pathology" youre referring to, is actually the installed christian fear/terror of being punished in the afterlife.
Its funny how easy it is to fall into that trap of believing this bullshit of hell and stop the mind from progressing and evolving to a fear-free state of being. I dont know if it has to do with stupidity or anything.
As for calling me a Pagan in your removed comment, I can tell you for sure that I am not. Why would you assume I was pagan? Are you really that ignorant that you'd resort to some sort of stereotype?
And I did rethink my life. That's why I reject the claims of JF. JF has a mental pathology that locks his mind in a certain way of thinking. He can't escape it, and probably neither can you.
The essential feature of Christophrenia is a marked and persistent fear of anything and everything which is not associated with Jesus or the Christian Right as a whole. In an attempt to escape the daily challenges of living in the real world, the patient begins to construct a fantasy dreamscape in which fundamentalist religious beliefs take the place of every day common sense.
I could just as easily say the opposite about JF's video. It's no less likely that JF is trying to unjustify pornography with his video in order eliminate his own cognitive dissonance.
I do understnad your beleif, since the porn industry does real good at making it look like that the stars have fun! I'm not saying all the stars are forced, most of the adults do it as a way to make money, but the children and uneducated adults are forced into doing sex! So please don't buy any porn because the money supports rape and not pay the stars! Just to let you know.
And by what evidence do you back up this claim that buying porn supports rape? That's a big leap of logic that you are assuming to be true. This isn't a given fact and you have failed to justify it.
Pornos are generally not a part of human trafficking. You generally don't want to put kidnapped victims on camera or have an ending credits at the end of the film because, you know, it's evidence that could be used against you at trial.
FlowCell, thse days the people holding the stars as hostages could change the names, use makeup, and now even on the computer didigtal modifactions can be made! Like I said before I'm sure not all the porn stars were forced, but it's a big industry that makes more money than, racing, sports, and even if they combine the porn industry still makes more!
I've met furry Christians before. They are very strange and self loathing creatures. Everything about them contradicts most of the two millennial of Christian tradition the world has experienced. Humans are supposed to be special creations of God, creations given spirits and made separate and apart from the animals. And here comes along Christian furries who pretend to be animals so they can express their "true" self and overcome repression. It's a "miracle" that their heads don't explode.
"You offer nothing but insubstantial talking points and regurgitations you heard from the pulpit" Nope I just quoted scripture, untouched from any human perspective.YOU brought up arostotels teachings who is just a man and twisted the meaning of the verse in Corinthians i gave you.degrees and human logic mean nothing in the realm of the Most High "For as the heavens are higher than the earth,so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."Isaiah 55:9 Checkmate
Scripture is translated by humans, so it is touched quite intimatly by the human mind. It was also written by men. Paul wasn't God, but a man. BTW, much of Aristotelian philosophy became part of Church dogma pre-reformation, so it is deeply embedded into Christian culture and thought.
The Word of God: Strangely, a lot like your opinion...
Could you be any more self-serving when you cherry pick your scriptures to make your mental mosaic?
So in other words your saying that Paul didnt write that scripture for us? that it was only for those in corinth that were practicing sexual rituals to their pagan gods? Your mistaken: "Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours -1 Cor. 1:2 You see he was writing the letter to ALL that "in EVERY PLACE that call upon Jesus" Nice try flow
In all honestly, it appears to me that Paul is directing this to letter to the Church of Corinth only. I think it clear that Paul is simply saying that the Church of Corinth is a part of the larger Church of Jesus. The NIV version is a little more clear on this point.
Do you realize that you are looking for scripture to justify a conclusion, rather then making a conclusion based on scripture? Your mind is locked down by church dogma. Free yourself from bondage; break the hex on your mind.
Hmm good point, you see now with what you said in mind can you must define "pleasure" &"comfort".Because everyones mind and beliefs are diffrent: For u I assume masturbating to porn would be "pleasure" since you are defending the practice. And if God says that's sin, well then God is mean, bad, and no fun.Ah but to one that follows God-"pleasure & comfort" is to walk in his ways and do his will. What is a burden for you is a blessing for me. We are ALL sinners, but THROUGH Christ we can obtain purity
I think you have a very narrow, hollow and lazy spirituality. You offer nothing but insubstantial talking points and regurgitations you heard from the pulpit. Your emotions and mind have been exploited by a mind virus. You do not think for yourself, and until you do, you will never truly KNOW the truth. Faith is not a way of knowing. A little stoicism, empiricism and skepticism would do your soul a lot of good.
Trust me, you'll be happier in the long run with a free mind then a trapped one.
Soft target this:"Flee fornication.Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians:18-20 Now I know quoting scripture to u is like reading a fairytale, but truth is truth.God is not mocked
The person being mocked here is JesusFreek777, not God.
I would say to the scripture that that the culture of Corinth incorporated sensuality into it's worship of pagan gods, so Paul's message was largely targeted at those who had fallen back into this practice. In that context, it isn't sensuality itself that Paul preached against, but the culture of sexual god worship.
Never take a scripture at face value, lest you play the roll of a fool.
Because you might enjoy life. According to Aristotle, the animal nature is comfort seeking. Therefore, to be more spiritual, you must deny yourself comfort and pleasure. So, just like St. Francis Xaviera, be sure to keep a small sack of ashes to sprinkle on any delicious meals people give you in the spirit of hospitality to avoid gluttony.
God wants you to be sad and depressed, while pretending it's joy. So be joyful that you've made yourself holier then everybody else.
You know, it amazes me just how much of modern Christianity interprets the Bible based on the philosophies of Aristotle. I've been taking a philosophy class, and I'm amazed at how out of date the exegesis they use is. How could somebody who professes the Bible to be so near and dear to their heart be so ignorant of history and so lazy when it comes to interpreting their most sacred to texts? If it is so important, why not make the Bible a scholarly pursuit? Fundamentalist is empty horse shit.
The worst thing that internet porn has done is create a subculture of people too lazy to get sex with real people who sit in their bedrooms eating Cheetos in their unwashed underpants.
Well, maybe;) Great video reply. Also, I've walked hot coals and proved the bible wrong. Ahhh, but if it fails the literal test of truth in such a way that is unavoidable unless you are blind and mad, then its a metaphor of course;).
I think those basement dweller types have always been around. But I look at it this way. If a person is sad and depressed for being lonely, and isn't doing anything about it, they have only themselves to blame. Honestly, you could make just as strong a case for other activities like WoW and being married to your career as you could porn.
I think it has more to do with how social you are vs. how many solitary activities are in your life.
Maybe when he's talking about how more keystrokes are sexually related then anything else he's just projecting his common searches onto the rest of us.
Quite possible, though I think his information is terribly out of date. Those claims of porn being hot on the internet were made back in the mid 1990's.
Well, he did get divorced which was probably a result of his fundamentalist background giving him a false idea of what relationships are all about. I think that's why Christians have such a shamefully high divorce rate.
Ironic that this is what he accused the pornography industry of doing to people. Only people who watch porn know the difference between fantasy and reality.
Lol "Thou shalt not commit Adultery" when u watch porn you lust, which creates adulterous thoughts in your head which means porn=adultery=sin. It's all throughout the Bible. That would depend on your definition of "marriage".
Modern day marriages simply require you to sign a paper, or simply moving in with your partner.
In the old days, you simply needed to do a ceremony to inform the community, then you move in.
Now, all you need to do is Twitter everyone to say "We're together now".
Then all your friends and family know and you are defacto married.

Kinkspace 2 years ago
Also areas that have restricted vision regarding sexual freedom, often support if not partake in the celebration of violence and greed as a consumer spectator sport.
Kinkspace 2 years ago
this "mental pathology" youre referring to, is actually the installed christian fear/terror of being punished in the afterlife.
Its funny how easy it is to fall into that trap of believing this bullshit of hell and stop the mind from progressing and evolving to a fear-free state of being. I dont know if it has to do with stupidity or anything.

Stuballs84 2 years ago
Again, this is anecdotal. How do I know this isn't an unusual story? It's just a testimony, and one that's politically motivated, too.
FlowCell 2 years ago
And I did rethink my life. That's why I reject the claims of JF. JF has a mental pathology that locks his mind in a certain way of thinking. He can't escape it, and probably neither can you.
FlowCell 2 years ago
Here a definition for you :)
CHRISTOPHRENIA
Diagnostic Summary
The essential feature of Christophrenia is a marked and persistent fear of anything and everything which is not associated with Jesus or the Christian Right as a whole. In an attempt to escape the daily challenges of living in the real world, the patient begins to construct a fantasy dreamscape in which fundamentalist religious beliefs take the place of every day common sense.
Kinkspace 2 years ago
For you to make a video justifying tells me you know its wrong.... Pornography for some is start of molestation and abuse...... Look it up.
Stuballs84 2 years ago
Purely anecdotal. Their is no way to tell if her story is representative of all other porn stars.
FlowCell 2 years ago
I could just as easily say the opposite about JF's video. It's no less likely that JF is trying to unjustify pornography with his video in order eliminate his own cognitive dissonance.
FlowCell 2 years ago
I do understnad your beleif, since the porn industry does real good at making it look like that the stars have fun! I'm not saying all the stars are forced, most of the adults do it as a way to make money, but the children and uneducated adults are forced into doing sex! So please don't buy any porn because the money supports rape and not pay the stars! Just to let you know.
QQMarkPS2 2 years ago
And by what evidence do you back up this claim that buying porn supports rape? That's a big leap of logic that you are assuming to be true. This isn't a given fact and you have failed to justify it.
Pornos are generally not a part of human trafficking. You generally don't want to put kidnapped victims on camera or have an ending credits at the end of the film because, you know, it's evidence that could be used against you at trial.
FlowCell 2 years ago
FlowCell, thse days the people holding the stars as hostages could change the names, use makeup, and now even on the computer didigtal modifactions can be made! Like I said before I'm sure not all the porn stars were forced, but it's a big industry that makes more money than, racing, sports, and even if they combine the porn industry still makes more!
QQMarkPS2 2 years ago
All of which is pure speculation, making it worthless as proof.
1) Special effects are expensive and porn is low budget. Porn studios don't spend that kind of money on production value.
2) Making a profit is not indicative of wrong doing. It just means it is in demand, which is a consumer side issue.
Your speculations cannot withstand even basic critical thinking. Just let this go. You'll feel better.
FlowCell 2 years ago
Your right we should let this go, after all like 90% of the population like porn so, let's end this worthless debate over the evil sex world.

I wouldn't be surprised if JF777 jacks off to furry porn.
I mean, if how sexually repressed he makes himself out to be is any indicator...
Surhotchaperchlorome 2 years ago
Makes me wonder if he's straight in real life, but his furry self is gay or bisexual.
FlowCell 2 years ago

DiscipleOfTruth7 2 years ago
Scripture is translated by humans, so it is touched quite intimatly by the human mind. It was also written by men. Paul wasn't God, but a man. BTW, much of Aristotelian philosophy became part of Church dogma pre-reformation, so it is deeply embedded into Christian culture and thought.
The Word of God: Strangely, a lot like your opinion...
Could you be any more self-serving when you cherry pick your scriptures to make your mental mosaic?
FlowCell 2 years ago
So in other words your saying that Paul didnt write that scripture for us? that it was only for those in corinth that were practicing sexual rituals to their pagan gods? Your mistaken: "Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours -1 Cor. 1:2 You see he was writing the letter to ALL that "in EVERY PLACE that call upon Jesus" Nice try flow
DiscipleOfTruth7 2 years ago
In all honestly, it appears to me that Paul is directing this to letter to the Church of Corinth only. I think it clear that Paul is simply saying that the Church of Corinth is a part of the larger Church of Jesus. The NIV version is a little more clear on this point.
Do you realize that you are looking for scripture to justify a conclusion, rather then making a conclusion based on scripture? Your mind is locked down by church dogma. Free yourself from bondage; break the hex on your mind.
FlowCell 2 years ago
Hmm good point, you see now with what you said in mind can you must define "pleasure" &"comfort".Because everyones mind and beliefs are diffrent: For u I assume masturbating to porn would be "pleasure" since you are defending the practice. And if God says that's sin, well then God is mean, bad, and no fun.Ah but to one that follows God-"pleasure & comfort" is to walk in his ways and do his will. What is a burden for you is a blessing for me. We are ALL sinners, but THROUGH Christ we can obtain purity
DiscipleOfTruth7 2 years ago
I think you have a very narrow, hollow and lazy spirituality. You offer nothing but insubstantial talking points and regurgitations you heard from the pulpit. Your emotions and mind have been exploited by a mind virus. You do not think for yourself, and until you do, you will never truly KNOW the truth. Faith is not a way of knowing. A little stoicism, empiricism and skepticism would do your soul a lot of good.
Trust me, you'll be happier in the long run with a free mind then a trapped one.
FlowCell 2 years ago
Soft target this:"Flee fornication.Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians:18-20 Now I know quoting scripture to u is like reading a fairytale, but truth is truth.God is not mocked
DiscipleOfTruth7 2 years ago
The person being mocked here is JesusFreek777, not God.
I would say to the scripture that that the culture of Corinth incorporated sensuality into it's worship of pagan gods, so Paul's message was largely targeted at those who had fallen back into this practice. In that context, it isn't sensuality itself that Paul preached against, but the culture of sexual god worship.
Never take a scripture at face value, lest you play the roll of a fool.

"Anything you want is just a few keystrokes away."
And this is bad because...?
Surhotchaperchlorome 2 years ago
Because you might enjoy life. According to Aristotle, the animal nature is comfort seeking. Therefore, to be more spiritual, you must deny yourself comfort and pleasure. So, just like St. Francis Xaviera, be sure to keep a small sack of ashes to sprinkle on any delicious meals people give you in the spirit of hospitality to avoid gluttony.
God wants you to be sad and depressed, while pretending it's joy. So be joyful that you've made yourself holier then everybody else.
FlowCell 2 years ago
Glad I'm an Atheist then. ;)
Surhotchaperchlorome 2 years ago
You know, it amazes me just how much of modern Christianity interprets the Bible based on the philosophies of Aristotle. I've been taking a philosophy class, and I'm amazed at how out of date the exegesis they use is. How could somebody who professes the Bible to be so near and dear to their heart be so ignorant of history and so lazy when it comes to interpreting their most sacred to texts? If it is so important, why not make the Bible a scholarly pursuit? Fundamentalist is empty horse shit.
FlowCell 2 years ago
JF's point at 1:18 seems to be more in favor of porn.
If you're depressed, have issues with health, a little self love can go a long way from what I've read. :P
Surhotchaperchlorome 2 years ago
Actually, you could take it the other way. Being depressed can actually kill your sex drive.
See? God really wants you sad and depressed, so you'll be less sexually immoral.

ChrisJMoor 2 years ago
I think those basement dweller types have always been around. But I look at it this way. If a person is sad and depressed for being lonely, and isn't doing anything about it, they have only themselves to blame. Honestly, you could make just as strong a case for other activities like WoW and being married to your career as you could porn.
I think it has more to do with how social you are vs. how many solitary activities are in your life.

Quite possible, though I think his information is terribly out of date. Those claims of porn being hot on the internet were made back in the mid 1990's.

fmaneko217 2 years ago
Well, he did get divorced which was probably a result of his fundamentalist background giving him a false idea of what relationships are all about. I think that's why Christians have such a shamefully high divorce rate.
Ironic that this is what he accused the pornography industry of doing to people. Only people who watch porn know the difference between fantasy and reality.
