@Useless02 Sadly, most westerners have no idea what an erhu is. On the other hand, that isn't anything to brag about. It's just an example of how racist and ethnocentric western education is.

@atjnAdfhhjea It's not the lack of knowledge that is racist. It's the education system itself. Can't blame the students for the failure of the system. And it's a problem because when we are taught music, there is absolutely no reason we should only be learning western instruments, especially when people from other countries are learning both their native instruments and western ones like pianos. China isn't some tiny obscure culture. It's freaking China. This is important stuff, musically.
