@emilemil1998- Cool! I like to use at least a 4oz or heavier spider weight & cut dead bait, squid, shad & mullet for reds. You can use live shrimp for trout but you need an air pump to keep them alive plus they are on the expensive side. Remember only 2 rods per person. Your admission ticket is good for 24hrs, it starts @ 6:30am. That's the best time to get a good spot @ the T. Either side is good. That is the deepest part of the pier. Good luck!
@emilemil1998- Fishing wise 12-1am are minor feeding times this weekend. The major feeding times are Sat 6:48am-7:13am & Sunday 7:52am. Now that's according to current moon phase. Also if you get there at midnight you gotta pay again at 6:30am for the next day if you decide to stay. Hope this helps.

It's great to see you passing on the craft to young Jules. I just went to Pensacola, caught two big pilotfish and a 3 1/2 foot blackfin shark and did it all with freshwater tackle. The uh...shark took some doing to say the least =) We did it all at Fort Pickens at the public pier there, had to walk it all the way to the beach with a 20$ rod just bent like a horseshoe. I gotta say, for the money Durango rods and ugli sticks are great. Me, I'm a closed-face man.

@dnahoghunter- It's his nick name. His name is Julian. Yeah he caught 6 or 7 of those croakers. We kept putting them on the surf rod but no luck. The water was very choppy, 25-30mph wind all day.
