  • A word of wisdom can break down even the strongest atheist. Let the Holy Spirit lead us people. Not our humanly wisdom to evangelise :)

    Peace.

  • For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. Corinthians 1:18

  • best song ever i just went to their concert last night in KCK :)

    theyre the best band everr.

  • this is the best song ever by the newsboys i miss the old newsboys

  • :D

  • love this song - SHINE!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

  • GOD IS AMAZING! :D

  • I AM FROM PERU GOOD GROUP, I ALWAYS LISTEN THEM ...

  • Listened to this ad nauseum on my walkman back in college. Ah the good old days. Newsboys were great back then.

  • just SHINE~~

  • can't stand christianity but this song is really catchy

  • @MrJumbolegz HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (and I'm a christian....hahahahaha)

  • Aww. I remember this song.

My cousin and I used to laugh at the "vegetarian BBQ hamster" bit. :P

  • love it

  • ok can anyone on here answer this for me, Why are the Greek and Roman multi theisim religions considered myth but modern christianity isnt?

  • @minitbone15 because Christianity isnt a polytheistic religion, we do believe that there is the father the son and the holy spirit, but they are one being, just different manifestations of God

  • @speeddaemon44 Jehovah's Witnesses believe in only 1 god- not a trinity of three different gods that evangelical xtians believe to be 1 god. Jesus was praying to himself? And your response really didn't answer the question. Since religion has 1 deity, it's not a myth, but multiple gods makes it a myth? So Islam must be true by your standards?

  • @minitbone15 Greek and Roman mythology, you mean? ;) Beats me. I don't make the rules. I guess a distinct lack of living believers just has an adverse effect on some faiths. Yeah, it's a shame. However, there is a polytheistic religion that's thriving at the moment. It's called Hinduism. Has about 950 million followers, apparently, and I'll bet very few of them think it's a myth.

  • @minitbone15 But, on a serious note, Greek and Roman mythology is *considered* myth because no one alive really *considers* it otherwise. There is no "why".

  • @SilverDragonTV you cant say there is no one. I believe it.

  • @minitbone15 what are you talking about?

  • One of the all time classic wonderful songs!

  • The Holy Spirit is the greastest gift I have received here on earth.

The other gift is eternal life with my savior in heaven.

    God is Great!!!!

  • God is SO good :)

  • And about Him being a loving God. All I know is that I wouldn't give MY only son for someone who hated me, persecuted me, and cursed my name. But God did. He's so loving, that He gave His only Son to save the souls of His enemies. I'm sorry you haven't felt His love. I'm sorry that some of the CHRISTians you've met may have been bad examples of His love. But we're all human. We all sin. and we all fail God. Don't look to people to see if God's love exists. Look to Jesus. I'll be praying for you.

  • @3243basketballchick I guess your response is more reasoned because its tempered w/ concern & acknowledgment of Gandhi's quote about xtians. The story still doesn't make sense. Jesus was god, right? So how is god sacrificing himself to himself when he's god (immortal, omnipotent, etc) a true expression of love? Its only a sacrifice if you LOSE something.

  • @utubepunk God created us in the first place because He wanted someone to fellowship with. When He could no longer fellowship with us due to our sin, He destroyed the earth. And He didn't destroy anyone innocent. He saved the ones who were still living for Him. And God can NOT be in the presence of sin. THAT is why He sent His ONLY Son to die for us. Because He wants us to be in heaven with Him. But because of our sin, we were unable to go. Until His Son's blood covered our sins.

  • @3243basketballchick The sin you speak of was created by god. So he created a race of sentient beings knowing he would destroy them but did it anyway. Because he was lonely?? If god did flood the world, then yes he killed innocent children / babies who never had the capacity to understand why they were suffering. He saved those who feared him. God can't be in the presence of sin he created into existence? Aren't you limiting god now? god could not exist if he could not be in the presence of sin!

  • @utubepunk Twisting and turning can't change the fact that you can't make something from nothing, God did. Your reasoning is very well written and you have valid questions and comments.

  • @msaladyga Not twisting- just presenting it as I read it. Fact? I didn't realize your version of god was proven with modern science. Science- you know the thing the church has been against since the very beginning because it threatened their power. Along with women, blacks & gay people. So besides the story book, which has been heavily edited for content and has had many books left out, where is the real proof God created something from nothing?

  • @utubepunk So you're saying science can prove everything? There is a difference between God and church-the Church is man made- God loves everyone and everything- man made things do not. Unfortunately people who are in the church condemn instead of pray for. The proof is in of itself. Science and math and physics has proven that you cannot make something out of nothing, so even forgetting the Christian views, something must have. The one thing I ask is have you looked past the hypocrites?

  • @utubepunk It's apparent that you're not looking for answers, but to trump truth with your own logic. The beauty of free will is that if you're looking to be skeptical, then there's plenty to be skeptical about. Maybe someday you'll look for God, and, oh baby, will you find Him.

  • @zrhodes3 Dude, you haven't proved truth. You admitted it comes down to faith & condemn other people's religion & said others deserved to die. Where's YOUR logic? I am skeptical of your religion because its full of holes. Why look for a deity that isn't there? And if he is, why worship such an insecure, non-loving being? Out of fear? Oh baby, I'll find him, huh? Xtians always fall back on the same veiled threats when they can't answer the tough questions. Whatever makes you feel better, I guess.

  • Grew up on this CD. Actually it was a cassset back then...

Newsboys are still making great music, even without Peter Furler singing, still great music!

    God Bless!

  • what a classic

  • Let the people play their games in the box they live in; I couldn't live knowing this is all there is.

  • HERE WE GO AGAIN, YOU DONT HAVE TO BE SAVED TO GO TO HEAVEN, IF YOU FOLLOW IN HIS FOOTSTEPS, WE WILL ALL BE THERE

  • I call myself a Christian and I am unsure who created us I don't know if any one entity did or what did. I live by the morals and guidelines of the bible though. I think there is a supreme being above us. That is just my own personal take.

  • @zjbeast You're either are Christian or you're not. There's no in between.

  • @kevin113423 I go to church.. There is grey area my friend. Trust me.

  • @zjbeast You can say you go to church or read the Bible or whatever you want but, unless you except Jesus as your saviour you aren't a Christian.

  • @kevin113423 Bah there are many different kinds of Christians. I apply science with faith and vica versa. I am not going to argue with a 14yr old over Christianity when you know so little about life. Let me ask you something. If our creator created us why would he let us speak for him? If our creator wants to speak to us than I will listen. Man can twist the bible's words in to meaning so many negative things. Take a look at some of the bad things that have been covered up by religion. Done

  • @zjbeast

For a 14-year-old, he seems to have a stronger faith than you do. My opinion, one that is Biblically rooted, is that God will let us speak for him because that allows us to have a free will. If God ripped the sky open and spoke to everyone, that would eliminate our free will. We would have to believe in Him, whether we wanted to or not. It isn't faith if we don't have a choice.

  • @zrhodes3 I never said my faith was stronger. As a matter of fact I help out at a Christian Youth Center. I just have a different set of morals. I show respect to the Christian faith. I think the way to haven is by the way you live your life. I do not try and turn people against Christianity. I believe in morals. I try and put that in the youth of today. If you come across as a bible thumper to someone they are less likely to listen to what you have to say.

  • @zjbeast I never stated you did. Just made an observation. I'm happy that you work with youth and teach morals. That's awesome! I also agree that "Bible thumping" can dissuade some. However, that doesn't mean you should deny or ignore the Bible, God's Word. In fact, the Bible makes clear that Heaven is not something that can be obtained by humans. If that was true, Jesus would not be necessary, and you would not have to believe in God to go to heaven. The only reason we are capable of going to

  • @zjbeast is by God's grace. Once you accept this grace, then by default, you can only be changed into someone new, someone beautiful, someone good, and someone who will live differentlly. Someone who will live like Jesus, a servant to all.

  • @zrhodes3 Thanks for the words of wisdom though.

  • @zrhodes3 So verifiable, irrefutable proof of your god would negate free will? Explain. To you, your god exists. By your logic, you don't have free will, then.

If your version of god is true (very doubtful, tho) heaven is the last place I wanna go to.

  • @utubepunk You bring up a good point. Here's my attempt to explain. If God's existence was a fact, then we wouldn't have a choice to believe or not. It would just be a fact and we would all accept it. Thus we would have no free will, right? To me, yes, God exists. But this is a consequence of my free will. I chose to seek God and I found Him. I've felt His existence and seen His beauty. Just because God exists doesn't mean that I still don't have a free will, however. Many believe believe God

  • @utubepunk exists and choose not follow any or some of His Word. I could still choose to ignore Him and take the easy path if I wanted to be normal. But, fortunately, I don't want to settle. I'm sorry you do. May God open your eyes, friend.

  • @zrhodes3 Circular logic, tho. If your version of god exists, how could one have freewill? This all-knowing god created you knowing every decision you'll make? You're born w/ original sin (not your fault), & you may never know god, but he knows that & allows you to what, burn in hell? Not a loving god to me. My eyes are open & I've come to see monotheistic, organized religions are here to divide us against one another. Divide & conquer, keeping mankind from reaching its true potential.

  • @utubepunk Haha circular logic. That's funny. I'd just like to clarify that you don't believe that this "version" I speak of is just MY version. This "version" is everyone's. He's all there is. There's nothing else. Yes, he created everyone, including you, knowing every single decision we make. That's a pretty incredible thought, is it not? God allows you to burn in hell, if you choose to say no His mercy. If you choose your disbelief over your belief. If you choose Satan, over Him. But He gives

  • @zrhodes3 Negative. Look how many sects of xtianity there are. Everybody has a different version & they believe their version is true. You're also leaving our the rest of the world who have a completely different set of beliefs. Why does your religion trump theirs? See- I don't believe in YOUR god. You're trying to say my disbelief is a belief, but that's illogical. How is not collecting stamps a hobby? The bible is a flawed story book edited for content many times. Definitely not convinced.

  • @utubepunk Yes, Christianity has too many sects, and they aren't over matters of right or wrong, just how we should worship God. But there are and have been true disciples of Jesus in every Christian church since His death and resurrection. God trumps other religion's idols because idols are man-made and the Creator of the universe can't even be touched by something humans forge. What do you believe? That your life is about you? That analogy doesn't quite equate because it doesn't include Satan

  • @zrhodes3 The Westboro church sect would disagree with ur 1st sentiment. How do you know all this anyway? Because an ancient book told you so? Where do your beliefs come from? If you've been raised being spoonfed this stuff, then you'll never question. So many world religions- many that pre-date xtianity. Once you start reading about other religions, you realize how much stuff xtianity ripped off from them. Take off the biblical blinders & think for yourself.

  • @zrhodes3 Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? -Epicurus, 341 BC, Samos – 270 BC, Athens

    Word to that.

  • @utubepunk all the opportunity to find Him. Matthew 22:14 "For many are invited, but few are chosen." We all have the same choice. Most just choose the widest path, because it's most traveled and easiest to follow. Unfortunate as that is, that doesn't lead to salvation. That doesn't mean that God isn't loving, it just means that He is the ultimate judge and isn't going to reward you for living so safely. You think you see, but you don't really see. Mark 4:12 "These are people - Whose eyes are

  • @zrhodes3 open but don't see a thing, Whose ears are open but don't understand a word. Who avoid making an about-face and getting forgiven.

  • @zrhodes3 Sigh. I don't pretend to have all the answers, unlike some who throw out bible verses w/o really thinking for themselves. All I have to do is read the bible to know your god isn't love. If I did the stuff he did, no way would I be called a lover- more like Hitler or worse. Xtians have the tendency to think they're superior to non-believers. When this happens, there's great suffering. Inquisition, holy wars, etc. Rationalize I can slaughter everyone because god's on my side!

  • @utubepunk Disbelief in God is a belief because you're believing Satan's lies over God's truth. The Bible has only been updated by texts that were only closer in date to the originals, i.e. less copying-errors. And the different versions vary from literal translations to more modern free-verse translations. They all say the same things, just in a different style. Haha I hope I'm not coming off as knowing all the answers. That's the last thing I want. And I'm not throwing out Bible verses

  • @zrhodes3 Your speaking irrationally. I have no reason be believe in your god vs anyone's god. Where is your absolute proof that your god or the devil exists? You realize stories of jesus weren't written until 50+ decades after he was murdered? Other books written much later. The bible has been edited by those in power to say what they want it to say. Guess all the other super religious ppl are wrong because you have it all figured out.

  • @utubepunk @utubepunk mindlessly. I just wanted you to see that the Bible is relevant here, like any situation. Well, I'm glad you've read the Bible. That's more than even some "Christians" can say. Yes God wiped people out in the Old Testament, but those people were wicked. They sacrificed their own children to idols they created. They could have changed their ways for God, but chose not to time and time again. Yes, it is terrible suffering has come from those things, and I'm not one to say

  • @zrhodes3 Why is the bible more relevant than the koran or any other religious book? Wicked people, eh? He created them that way, right? So its okay to wipe out entire populations of ppl because they're wicked? You can also stone your disobedient children, too. Try that one. Not everyone was evil- babies & children shouldn't be murdered because god was having a bad day. Why did god demand sacrifices? Sounds insecure- needing that constant praise & worship. Man, god is his own worse enemy!

  • @utubepunk whether they deserved it or not. Where's my absolute proof? I have none. That's why it's faith. There are many reasons why I believe, and the greatest of all these is because I have felt Him. Because even right now, I feel Him speaking through me. I know the devil exists because I've been down the road you're on. I know where that leads. I used to theorize on the world rationally. It's funny though, because God's ways are irrational in a worldly sense.

  • @zrhodes3 Ah, so it comes down to faith- which is personal & subjective to each person. Therefore you have no claim to say his or her faith is wrong. So you've felt god. Others have become enlightened, felt allah or whatever deity they worship. So again- what makes you right and them wrong? Of course god is irrational. You would be put on trials for crimes against humanity- NOT worshiped if you did what your god did. Using an ancient text & applying it to today is simply full of fail.

  • @utubepunk the difference between Christianity and every other religiion is that every other religion is based in man trying to reach God.. Christianiti is God reaching into men. God bless.

  • @MrFranciscona This statement is incorrect. A quick study of world religions will illustrate how other religions have their gods reaching to men (greek / roman / Egyptian mythology, Islam, etc). Other religions / philosophies like Buddhism isn't even about man trying to reach "god". Peace.

  • @utubepunk you mean 50+ years? Well, I guess that's because they were so busy being disciples of Christ that they didn't have time to write anything down until they were much older. Makes sense. I don't have everything figured out nor do I pretend to. I don't know why you assume I do. Right now, I just feel like God wants to use this outlet as a light to others.

  • @utubepunk The Bible is more relevant, because it is the only book that is God's Word. He doesn't force people to be evil. They have the same choice we all have. To change. And yes you could go through and nitpick your way through the Old Testament and find many similar things, but you can't avoid the New Testament, where Jesus fulfills the Mosaic Law. No, if there were babies and children that weren't evil that knew no better than they would most likely be saved. Again, my knowledge is limited.

  • @zrhodes3 The bible is man's words- not gods. More circular logic- the bible is true because it says its true. Well THAT settles THAT. Not. You can nitpick ALL the flaws in the bible. If god is perfect, why isn't his msg delivered perfectly? Why so much revision / different interpretations? The New Testament is just as worthy of nitpicking. Mosiac laws? I think the Jews would disagree on that. I like how you dismissed the mass murder of babies & children. Too bad your bible disagrees w/ you.

  • @utubepunk Sacrifices, the shedding of blood, is the only atonement for sin. Jesus, shed his blood, as the ultimate sacrifice for every human that would live from that day on. You should watch this video on YouTube, Rob Bell Everything is Spiritual Legendado Part 1 8.flv, if you find the time. There's 8 parts. You're very smart, and have many questions, I think you'd enjoy this.

  • @zrhodes3 Watch this & maybe you'll understand a few of my problems w/ xtanity - DvRPbsXBVBo - God's Checklist. Shows how irrational xtianity is. So Jesus sacrificed himself to himself to save us from himself for the sin he / god allowed to manifest in the first place? Hmmm. Occam's razor, man.

  • @utubepunk Some people wonder why God allows us to be able to do evil, if He doesn't want us to. God doesn't want us to love him; he wants us to WANT to love Him. If He wanted us to be good all the time, He would have had to of made us WITHOUT free will. That way, we'd love Him automatically. But then we'd be like robots, so It'd be nothing special. Love isn't just an emotion, it's an action. We couldn't show Him love without free will, but then free will gives us the choice to do evil. Paradox.

  • @biblekid2000 I understand what you're saying, but it still doesn't make sense. God wants us to want to love him. Okay- but if I don't or never have even heard of your god then according to your bible I am to suffer an eternity of hell / punishment. Now logically- that is NOT a loving god who is so insecure / jealous he must torture ppl becuz they exercise the very "free" will he supposedly gave'em. I thought lucifer introduced freewill by given mankind the choice to gain knowledge?

  • @utubepunk This is a test. I'm trying to reply to your comment, but my computer's acting weird.

  • @biblekid2000 Go to the Meadowlark Church of Christ website. Then, click on online study. Then, read chapter 7. Your answer is in the "4 worlds" section.

  • @biblekid2000 You replied to yourself, so I just now read this. How about you summarize chapter 7 instead, please.

  • @zjbeast Dude, you realize that doesn't fly in xtianity? And if you live by the morals & guidelines of the bible- that's bad news. You have a supreme being that wiped out a population he created because he considered it a mistake. Innocent men, women & children murdered because of a jealous, angry god. Do you plan to stone your children? Bible recommends it. Along with slavery. Once you do some digging you realize the god of the bible ain't such a good guy after all.

  • I'm an atheist and I love this song!

  • haha

  • Even a bouncer who isn't happy.

  • I remember watching the music video to this on VHS back in the day. Would rewind and listen over and over.. wish the original video was on youtube though.

  • I remember this song from way long ago. :)

  • Hi, Over the years we have been lied to by Govts worldwide, not only Govts but false religous leaders, if you are a truth seeker you would truly love to visit the web site in my user name and picture. There is a great audio there for you to listen to, you will be very shocked and you will come away asking many questions. May He bless you as you seek His truth. Ben

  • THIS IS MY FAVORIT SONG i remember getting in the car after pre-school is over and my dad would turn this son on well after we listen to toby keith

  • I dont know about Jesus, I dont know about the Bible..

All I know is that the architect of our existence made us a beautiful place to live in and plenty to live for, so Im gonna raise my arms to the unknown and praise the idea that I am one with my Creator and if Christianity turns out to be wrong, oh well, I lived my life well, happy and with a love that will CRUSH mountains into sand!

Love without limitations, unconditionally.. Love without fear, then you shall be free!

  • @YouCanFlow

    See?

If you are christian, then you are a great one.

Open to the unknown, the possibilities of the unknown, open to our ideas(no matter our belief)may be wrong,we still are one with the single consciousness that flows through all life.Fear and hatred are a sickness. We should spread LOVE and live in the path that our well being as well as yours and our childrens depend on the well being of all living things in this balance of life on earth.Grow through connection and experience. <3

  • People coming on a CHRISTIAN video/thread to argue against the Bible or Christianity just shows how pathetic some are. Jesus IS God. Jesus rose on the third day. JESUS LIVES!!! John 14:6-Accepting Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.

  • @TheMrTide So Jesus sacrificed himself to himself to save us from the wrath of himself? Man, that is trippy & hard to believe. I came because I remember the song & wanted to hear it again. I like the song, not the message. I post counters to the illogical & irrational statements I read here. There's so much ignorance that gets repeated without any real thought as to what it really means / has meant. Oh well. Peace.

  • @utubepunk It is sad and pathetic that you come on a CHRISTIAN video so that you can refute CHRISTIANS. Satan has you so blind and will enjoy your company in hell.

  • @TheMrTide Yawn. More sad your intolerance & hate blinds you. Guess if I can only like the song if I agree with your version of xtianity, huh? Jesus must be proud that you judge ppl to hell. How very xtian of you! People like you are the ones who opened my eyes and made it easy to see the truth and leave church. Enjoy your superior smugness- I'm sure Jesus does! Peace.

  • @utubepunk Oh it's not me who judges you to hell. Jesus HIMSELF said in John 14:6 that accepting Him was the ONLY way to heaven when He said I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. Noone can come to the Father who is in heaven except through Me. Oh and when you do end up burning in hell don't blame me, blame YOURSELF. I'm glad everyone here sees how ridiculous you are.

  • @TheMrTide You capable of thinking for yourself or is condemning ppl w/ bible versus the extent of your compassion? See, you've judge me to hell & per your beliefs, that's reserved for god. I know you're glad- xtians get off on suffering & persecution. Guess your smugness comes from an ancient text riddled w/ flaws & contradictions & edited many times for content. When judgmental religious ppl like you were in charge, it was called the Dark Ages. Ppl like you brought women to Jesus to be stoned.

  • @TheMrTide you got the scriptures wrong their. (6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.) the fathers throne may be in heaven but even heaven cannot contain him. Turn from your wickedness my brother, its not for you to pass judgment, Only the one who intercedes for us will judge men. Jesus. And he is just and merciful. Dont pass up your seat at the table of god for selfish things. It will be your only regret.

  • @utubepunk If you desire to do good in this world. and to love someone. then you will see god for yourself, for he is the god of rightciousness, and perfect love. Dont think that men who wait for judgment have any good judgments to be passed on them.

  • @eggthetireshop I desire to do good not to get on the good side of a invisible being- or because I fear them. I do so because I believe in the golden rule and it is the right thing to do. My whole gripe is certain religions condemn good people to hell or wherever because those good people don't follow *their* dogma. It's wrong & has led to so much suffering in this world. If we don't learn to put aside our differences & get along, then its gonna be every last man for themselves. Peace & thanks.

  • @utubepunk You know where the Golden Rule comes from, right? Sermon on the Mount. And hey, you can choose not to believe if you want, but what I want to understand is why people like you get sooo mad that we try to shove our faith down your throats when you do the exact same thing. I don't go onto Lady Gaga videos and say "You all need to find Jesus". Just a thought.

  • @crosscountrytc Sigh. The golden rule predates xtianity. I've only said that 3 times now. I get mad because its not enough that you have your own religion- its that most xtians HAVE to shove it down other ppl's throat. When that doesn't work- you use the govt to force it on others. Guilt & shame are the tools used. I'm not the one here saying believe the way *I do* or go to HELL. I'm the one suggesting a rational POV. And again, I LIKE this song, just not the message. Damn thing is catchy.

  • It doesn't matter how many years go by... I still love this song!

  • IT SAYS" VEGITRIAN BARBECUE HAMSTERS"!!!!!

  • @youngestkid4ever its a figure of speech

  • Great song!

  • One can not describe the color blue in words, not even a whole book. God can not be described in words nor can the answers to the universe be in a "bible" that man wrote. My well being, your well being, depends on the state of every living thing around us. Without water we die, without trees we die..look at the world and study the creations of life to understand the mind of god,not a book. Why want the answers? Life is a free range of endless possibilities that change all the time, experience it

  • Comment removed

  • @Trinitysgurl "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." -Mahatma Gandhi

  • @utubepunk And yes Christians are often unlike Christ, but that is still no excuse for not accepting Christ, its a free gift. And if I know anything, I know that God loves you more than you can imagine and he longs to give you and every person the life that we don't deserve, a life filled with peace and joy and grave and love. Its easy to judge a coach from the breachers, its harder to do so sitting next to him on the bench.

  • @Oneaudience A free gift? Really? If a gift is free, then why is there a penalty for not accepting it? Here, take this free pizza. BTW, if you don't, I plan to torture you for eternity. Remember- I LOVE YOU! If god is love, then explain hell, please. You know others life is filled w/ peace & joy w/o the irrational tenants of xtianity which leads to much suffering (hint: gay suicides). If you penalize me for not taking a free gift, then is it really free? Or is it just black mail @ that point?

  • Your right we don't need a Christian version of sharia law, we need Christ's version of love in believer's hearts more. The OT does have wild stories, mainly because of how wicked people and countries became. They rejected God's laws and we warned them of what would happen. In fact he gave them chance after chance to turn from their wickedness but they would not, so for God to be just he had to destroy many of them. Its like for a policeman to do his job, he may have to kill a serial killer.

  • @Oneaudience Sorry- I don't consider innocent women & children to be on the same level of serial killers. Did god not see the whole "wicked" thing coming? He flooded the earth, why- to wipe the slate clean and because his children were a mistake (thought he was perfect). However, did the flood erase original sin? Nope. So god killed everyone and didn't even fix his own mistake. And btw, ppl being curious by nature and eating a magical fruit to gain knowledge isn't a grave sin in my book.

  • I think many of our forefathers value of freedom was rooted in God and disagreed with how much of the constitution has been interpreted. Furthermore, the God I believe in, doesn't need anyone to worship him and only does what is right. It seems that it was right for him to create man to be a part of his perfect plan. And just as judges don't always judge fairly, and just as sadly neither do Christians act like Christ much of the time, it doesn't change who he was though or how he loved

  • @Oneaudience If he doesn't need anyone to worship him, why are angels doing it in heaven? At one time, he demanded sacrifices. You were smited if you cheated the invisible sky wizard. Sounds to me like he needs to be worshiped. I'm just saying if you worship a deity that can easily be considered Hitler on Earth, you might want to change your point of view / reconsider some things in life. Just saying.

  • Thus when man choose apart from God by sinning, because of his great love for us he did not destroy us by withdrawing his grace from us completely. Instead “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. Meaning God became a perfect man, he came to earth and died on a cross in our place, so that we could become united with him and made perfect.

  • @Oneaudience A perfect man? What's the point if Jesus was perfect? So Jesus (god) prayed to himself to forgive himself and then sacrificed himself to himself. Riiiight. It all makes even more sense now. You use a parent / child analogy, but you realize if you as a parent did to your child what god did in the old testament, you be locked up / probably executed?

  • Well because God knew that it was good for him to make beings to lavish his love upon and be loved back by, so he created man. But for us to truly accept his love and love him back, we must be freely given the choice to do so or not. Just as a good parent can not force their kids to love them, so freewill is in God’s plan but he doesn’t desire for us to choose to not accept his love. Yet we did when we sinned.

  • @Oneaudience God was so perfect he needed imperfect creatures to worship and love him and tell him what a great guy he is? Sounds pretty insecure to me, man. How can it be free will is god knows everything you will do? So god knows ppl will suffer eternal punishment because they didn't happen to go to your church in their lifetime? Yeah- sounds like a loving guy to me! Your god logic makes my head hurt.

  • In the Bible yes there are a lot of things that may make God and his people seem cruel and even barbaric but one must keep in mind that many of the events of the Bible are not about God and his good will for man but definitions and consequences for sin, which is choosing to act apart from God. If God is good and all-powerful, he either cannot allow evil or must one day destroy evil. So why would God allow evil to exist in the first-place right?

  • @Oneaudience "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then He is not omnipotent. Is He able, but not willing? Then He is malevolent. Is He both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is He neither able nor willing? Then why call Him God?" -Epicurus (c. 341 - c. 270 BC)

  • @utubepunk - have you NOTHING better to do - then go to Christian song sites on you tube and bash God? That's pretty sad. I'll pray for you. True believers laugh at the things you are writing - because it's people just like YOU - that when faced with crisis (the plane your on is crashing, someone in your family is diagnosed terminal) are the first ones to fold their hands in prayer and expect God to "jump on it"....I know because I was just like YOU...then I got a life.

  • @Trinitysgurl Easy on the insults, trinity. I said, the song is catchy- I used to listen to it- its still a good song even tho I don't agree w/ the msg. I expressed my view & presented a different POV against the group think or xtianity. People like ME huh? Ha- you're wrong. I have had hard times- my wife has had much worse experiences thanks to the religious nuts & guess what, she stayed true to HER morals. Funny thing- I used to be just like YOU are now. Waiting for that prayer now.

  • @utubepunk He did not want to, but when they would not stop destroying, murdering, raping, sacrificing their own children on the near liquid metal hands of their god, Molech and soone, it became right for God to wipe them off of the face of the earth. For a short time he used his people to do that. God hated that people he loved gave themselves to death and he warned them again & again & if they changed he relented gladly eg Jonah. In the garden, the sin was doubting God & choosing separation

  • @Oneaudience First off, god created evil (according to the bible) and allowed it to flourish. You realize your list has been going on since the beginning of time. It became right for god to kill everyone because of the actions of others? Again, irrational thinking. You realize God was gonna make what's-his-face sacrifice his own son? Loving god, indeed. Why isn't your god appearing in the sky now or performing verifiable miracles to warn us when science & tech exists to prove your god exists?

  • @utubepunk God wants an intimate relationship with you and is willing to wait for the rest of your life but life as always is short. Today is the day of salvation for all men, he made a way through is blood on the cross, and for all people because you are beautiful and special in his eyes. Besides if there was no good, how would you recognize evil? I just believe goodness is a being, who has a name and is a relational God. I hope one day you too will believe & see what I do. Believing is seeing!

  • @Oneaudience Dude, read the bible- god is NOT good. How can you come to the conclusion he is? I recognize evil by the acts. If you believe, then what have u seen? Have u seen god (impossible or you'd be dead according to the bible)? Seen Jesus? You got to understand- after reading what god has done and is capable of- he's the LAST deity I want a relationship with. That's like telling an abused wife to have a relationship w/ the husband who beats her. Watch George Carlin's 10 commandment skit.

  • @utubepunk

Well, it is a religion based on fear rather than love.I went to christian SCHOOL and church when I was young and I'm the farthest thing from a christian.None of my beliefs are bad, though I guess I'll still burn in hell :) I see religion and its impact on people is it divides them,i dont care WHAT it does for the individual, it DIVIDES PEOPLE. I look at the world, and it doesnt take a genius to tell something is wrong. The color blue can't be described in words, but God is in a book?

  • @chickenbiscito Amen, my brother from another mother! Religion divides us & pits us against one another. It certainly brings out the worst in man (see history for an example- both past and present). Preach on, chicken biscito!

  • @utubepunk

See, they think I'm an athiest, how judgmental. Because I don't share the same beliefs as them, then I must not BELIEVE IN GOD AT ALL. Well they are wrong. Religion and God are 2 completely different things. Whatever one perceives to be God is another story. I was forced to go to church and go to a christian school my whole childhood. People praying and following while their preacher spends donations on hookers and booze, THAT is the church experience.

  • @chickenbiscito Yeah, apparently they missed that part in the bible about not judging & judging being god's role. If the preacher is spending member's tithing on hookers & blow, I guess that's a less of a sin than a catholic priest preying on children. There's a reason church indoctrinates children @ such a young age- to brainwash them so they don't question anything- turning them into sheep bleating the same chorus and never questioning the party line w/ critical thinking.

  • @utubepunk well they're brain washing is apparently working, atheists are outnumbered 6 to 1, and my religion is not based on fear and death it is based on life, I know that for sure, And there are some religions that are bad, though saying all are is like saying all Muslims like to fly into things with air planes. And for your information I became a believer later in my life and I did through my own experiences.

  • @jsadamcik Out numbered, huh? I guess right or wrong doesn't matter as long as more people on your side share the same toxic beliefs-THAT'S what's really important here. People still support the catholic church after its been proven they supported pedo priests. Yup, catholics outnumber me, but see- it doesn't matter! You realize you believe in a book that contains a lot of fiction? Did you watch the checklist video? It should open your eyes to how twisted xtianity is to rational free thinkers.

  • @utubepunk And Judging is gods role though he has set certain guidelines and expectations, have you even read the bible? Because being an expert on the subject and not believing it is impossible, I have studied various religious texts and the Bible makes the most sense and has stood the test of time unlike the fallen Roman Temples and The crumbling Pyramids in Egypt. The truth is that we will all make our own decisions in life and we will all know our fate someday. So lets just end it there.

  • @jsadamcik Dude- I grew up in church. Yup, studied the bible. I've come to realize how F'd up it is. And why are you telling me what's impossible? Your whole book is filled with events that are impossible. You realize there are plenty of religions OLDER than xtanity, right? They also stand the test of time- so I guess that makes them just as right, eh? Of course you have to end it there- actually questioning the nonsense might unsettle the cognitive dissonance you're suffering from.

  • @utubepunk

trust me i know, i was one of those kids, but it didnt work, the more i learned about it the more i realized it was ridiculous, i USED to believe it back in the days of santa claus and other fairy tales

  • @utubepunk

thanks for the support brother from another mother :)

it bugs me is X'tians are supposed to lead by example,to glorify god in their actions, yet the are rude, hateful, judgmental, hostile and cruel online and in person. They assume, act like they are better than you and act like youre nothing if you dont believe in their beliefs. They give you sarcastic, insulting sympathy. They try to do the RIGHT thing for the WRONG reasons,DO GOOD because you WANT to,not to save yourself from HELL and FEAR

  • @chickenbiscito Man, you typed it better than I could have. Well said & bravo.

  • @chickenbiscito I do good works, as a DeMolay we are taut to be free and think in good mind and spirit and to keep our deeds good and square. I also have a faith that is based in just that a leap of faith. I also know that without fear there is no good, because the fear of doing bad deeds creates good deeds.

  • @jsadamcik

You are wrong, inthis wrld, people DON'T fear doing bad things. People DO fear doinggood things less they get shot by the local gang. One should do good because they WANT to, one should do good when goodness comes from inside. Not because you are scared god will send you to hell. I dont care what you are or what youve been taught, I taught MYSELF about the world, just like anyone else can. People out there NEED to see some good, its getting bad, do good because thats the RIGHT THING

  • @chickenbiscito Hey. I have friends in some of the gangs in my area bloods and crips alike, Yes I live in a gehto what of it? Do you even know what the right thing is, morals came from the bible and Most importantly the ten commandments, even the us constitution has over 200 direct and indirect quotes from the bible. aka The good / Holy book, And if it is so terrible than why do people in courts swear in on a Bible. And if you taught the world to yourself how good are your sources?

  • @chickenbiscito Then what do you live for, You say life is terrible and death is nothing so what do you think your doing why are you hear to moan about a pointless argument and beat a dead horse, go out and smell a rose, believing in god and being a christian has helped me all through life. Also you say you don't fear bad things, well most bad things like murder for example, are against the law, so you don't fear the law?

  • @chickenbiscito Well this is the last time I am going to reply to this so you can go mope and think about death and in effect have a crappy life, And I am going to go have good fun in my life and not anticipate but also not fear death, not saying I'm better just saying some choices are, I still believe there are some good lessons you could learn from the bible, (I think your looking in the wrong places) of the bible & the oldest religion, Judaism turned into Christianity,

  • @chickenbiscito And have a nice life and a good rot in the ground, may god bless you as he has blessed my life, and he has blessed it, Instead of being so pessimistic a good deal of optimism would serve you well, thank you, -J. Adamcik

  • @chickenbiscito than you just had a crappy life so here's an idea go out and get one before your idea of a world by accident co,es back to bite you in the butt. because than if you believe in evolution explain why I do not have a third arm, according to the laws of physics one chain like evolution should never stop because, every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

  • @jsadamcik

the bible is supposed to correspond with real live places, just like greek mythology, thats the DESIGN of story don't you see?Religion makes people feel like they are ashamed of themselves, that they need saving, they are nothing without belief, and eventually it causes pain and confusion and wars over the position to be right. Why can't people come together and bond with the common ground they all come from different walks of life, its only natural for people to have different beliefs

  • @chickenbiscito what God did is in a book. that's sorta like saying it's a biography of what GOD did. and God loves us all all we need to do is come to him:)

  • @steveandbrook

I'm sorry? It is a book about JESUS, who is supposed to be the SON of GOD, NOT GOD HIMSELF. Christians confuse that.

Whatever GOD IS, which is BEYOND the understanding and comprehension of a human mind, I promise you, any PERSON who tells you they KNOW what God does is quite insane. Tons of Jesus's live in mental wards and a LOT of people who hear God in their head are too. Like the people who say god told them to kill their child to send them to heaven. lol.. "Biography of God"

  • @chickenbiscito your wrong jesus is God in the flesh the only human being that was perfect God never killed his son Jesus had a choice if he would of said no God would have wiped out every human on earth aka you wouldnt be here. now stop arguing and enjoy the song! jeez

  • @TheDapter

you can tell me what god is, then a buddhist can tell me what god is, then a muslim can tell me what god is , and so on and so forth. You have beliefs, other people have different beliefs than you and they believe theirs JUST AS MUCH if not MORE than you to the point they kill and become extremists. there ARE christians extremists, the olympic bombings just to name one,not to mention abortion clinic attacks.I have my own beliefs so dont tell ME who god is as if you know more than me.

  • @TheDapter

yes yes, god is a human, how obvious,of course god is also a human, what else in the universe would god possibly be? I grew up in christian school and church so i dont need you to tell me about it,i already know. But they aren't MY beliefs,so when some..PERSON..just like me,thinks they are so gifted that they know the answers to the universe and even know what GOD is,i cant help but say something about it,but youre right,I'll just hush and enjoy the song, take care my friend

  • @TheDapter

    ??

all i am saying is,have your OWN values and morals, your OWN beliefs,YOU decide, anyone who ever existed is JUST as much human as you,you can decide what is going on for yourself, and personally i dont agree with christianity, and any archeological or scientific evidence proves that the bible isnt accurate geologically or anything.people used to think the world was flat, they used to think the earth was the center of the universe.its time to move on,God is pure, religion is of man.

  • @chickenbiscito

It is true that each of us has our own individual values, morals, and beliefs. It is true that we all decide these things for ourselves. However, what WE think has nothing to do with the actual truth. Christianity claims to be true, and that claim is independent of what ANYONE thinks. Whether you believe it is true or not, whether you accept its morals or not, whether you accept its values or not has nothing to do with its actual credibility as reality.

  • @chickenbiscito

And there is not only both archeological and scientific, but also historical and experiential evidence that support Biblical claims. Look it up, do your research.

Just because people used to think the world was flat has nothing to do with anything.

  • @shoozieme

Look, I don't care anymore. I know whats real and what smells like bullshit. There are NO historical facts proving the bible. If you are referring to actual places and stuff being in the bible, well the same is with Greek Mythology. Athena's temple was a real place were medusa was raped by poseidon. I have done PLENTY ENOUGH research. The earth being flat has everything to do with it,people learn/become advanced, and how ridiculous their prior beliefs were. The bible is astronomical

  • @chickenbiscito

I don't know of any verse in the Bible that is related to astrology. Find me one.

Nothing in the Bible is against the advancement of human beings. Find me a verse that is.

There are many historical facts that prove the Bible. If you want one to start, Jesus was a real man who lived on Earth. Many historians and scholars recognize that as a fact...and the year system which you use references the person of Jesus. B.C. means Before Christ and A.D. means "The Year of the Lord."

  • @shoozieme

i said astrONOmical, astrological is completely different, you dont understand the nature of the bible.most of the stories are BASED on atronomical events that happen in the sky.just like most religions do.the story of jesus has been told in other religions BEFORE jesus supposedly even existed. The story of horus, the 10 commandments are stolen straight from the egyptian book of the dead.december 25,falling for 3 days, rising, these are astonomical events,do YOUR research my friend
