@MsPaulinaAurora there is a cheaper one at love-makeup.co.uk you can get it in black or pink, the only place they don't ship to is the US, but international everywhere else.
I've been watching some of your more recent videos and you don't mention the beauty blender anymore. Do you still like it or has it been replaced by something?
I just bought this sponge. When I say I love this sponge... I love it. I used less make up and got a great flawless look plus i notice my make up last way longer through out the day . I dont know but i used this for my powder foundation and love it also. I didn't use it at wet with powder thou
Wow what a pointless product? I can get a pack of 14 sponges for $4 which isnt even a quarter of the price of a beauty blender and its the same thing just a different shape. The fact that you can run it under water and it expands isnt special, all sponges do that?
I use this with my Mac mineral skinfinish natural. It makes my skin look like velvet. Only drawback is it is time-consuming. Gotta wet it then make it damp using a towel then bounce it on your face alot. Then I always wash it after I use it cuz I'm germaphobic like that. Oh and if you use dish soap it comes out stainfree clean. For a perfect look it can't be beat.
hi dearest beautyblender is for sheer coverage while stippling brush is for full coverage, you have to apply the foundation to your face not directly to the sponge and my sure the sponge is not so wet or soaked in water majorly coz that will washout the foundation, i also love this with mineral powder
Am I the only one who hates this product, or am I just the only one uncoordinated to use it? Naturally I used it damp, but it still seemed to do nothing more than soak up almost all of my liquid foundation. Is there anyway to prevent this?
Tan.. no tan.. ALMOST as good as the " don't look like this " at the end of the " How to look old " video.. question if you have time to answer ( if not , still love you! ) Is this product better than a stippling brush? I use a moderate coverage liquid foundation because I have a uneven skin tone. Thanks. MUAH!
i have this sponge as well as the sonia Kashuk one, this one is way softer and i find work a lot better.
my question is, how does this compare to normal triangle sponges? obviously the shape, but will blending work just as well? i read that the alcone sponge is the same material as the beauty blender. is that true?
sephora now has a knockoff for $18 (canadian) but it looks a bit smaller and it definately doesnt expand to twice its size so it makes me wonder if it lays the foundation on thicker because it's denser...? i'd love to try the original BB but for $25CDN - thats a bit crazy
thank you for this video. i don't have a beauty blender (but i will eventually!) so i tried doing this with the big side of the cheapo triangle sponges and THAT has done a big difference in my foundation. so with the beauty blender, i hope to see even better results
well i don't ike beauty blender because it eats my foundation it really does it it transefers very little amount to my face i don't know may be i do something wrong
Hi! I have both the BB and the Sonia Kashuk one...both are pretty comparable and you get the same flawless finish with both. The only problem I had with the SK sponge was that it started shedding after a few weeks of use...little blue flakey sponge pieces. All around love these sponges...just concerned about cleanliness issues with the sponges and how long it takes to clean them.
Hey Wayne, I have had my beauty blender for about 3 months now. I agree with you it leaves a fantastic finish and uses a lot less product in the process.
I have to admit I thought it was expensive when I bought it but once it arrived I was converted.
Great review, makes me want to go out and get one! I might go for the Sonia one at Target first and try it out. And yes, Wayne is a doll. I try to get past that and listen to his makeup tips! lol
I have that and love it. Will you be doing a tutorial on Mac's new line called Style Black? I want to purchase allot of the items in this line, which is the first for me. This line is more me. Thank you for all the tutorials. You are amazing!!!!!!
1) you look beautiful in this video, who is Brad Pitt ?? ;-) you're really great
2) beauty blender is a great product but I think it's too expensive, one of my preferite youtube channel is a girl form NY that talks in italian and she thinks that sephora red sponge is cheaper and comparable too..
3) when you show to use the blender just tapping you seem to be a fish...love it
i have the generic beauty blender from Target, and once i used it, my foundation never looked the same. i just kind of wondered where it had been all my life! however, since i use revlon colorstay with it, it stains it like crazy no matter how many times i wash it. now instead of dipping it directly into my foundation i apply it with a foundation brush and then just use the blender to blend it out. it absorbs less product that way i think
Beauty Blender also works amazing with MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation. It's the only way I use it. Not even a foundation brush work as good. Excellent review!!!
Hmm.. I may have to give mine another go. I tried it a few times and didnt get into the whole bouncing thing.. seems like it took forever and then I ended up swiping it anyhow.. then went over with a brush. I was using a liquid foundation at the time. I have the cream one (studio tech) maybe I will like it better with that. I will try again! thanks...
thanks for the tip! i'll definitely try my sponge with cream products next. i have, unfortunately been noticing my studio fix fluid going by a lot faster than usual. that's sort of something i expect with a sponge though and i feel like it's a trade off im ok with considering the great results i get with the sponge. btw i use the sonia kashuk version and love it :) im sure i'd love the original even more but im a bargain gal
I like to use the tip of it to blend my concealer under my eyes and the corner of my nose where it gets red...makes it so easy to get to! but yeah having nails I do get annoyed when washing it because you have to take a lot longer to do it I think...
Wayne, what a gentleman you are to look out for us girls and warn us about our nails. I appreciate that as I do have long nails and can't afford to replace this sponge immediately just because I've gouged it with my nails. This sponge is definitely an investment but a worthy one as there is nothing that looks worse than unblended makeup. I am going to try it because of you. Of course, I will wait until Sephora has their sale right before Christmas(hopefully). Great review. Thanks.
I have one and I am not so happy because the cleansing is soooo difficult. Some textures don't want to come off and I prefer my huge brush over this. The result ist OK but I prefer a higher coverage. But I will try it with the MAC FC - sounds very interesting. I used it with usual coverage foundations only.
What else I don't like is that it fades and the pink color always comes off. It makes me think that a tiny bit of the colorant stays on my skin and I don't like the idea
I am definitely with you. He's just gorgeous. Those beautiful eyes. And most importantly, his true kindness and beautiful, gentle soul shines through in his vids.
I use the Sonia Kashuk one from Target (very similar to the Beauty Blender but a lot cheaper) and it works beautifully with my Eve Pearl HD Foundation. :)
I've been skeptical of this but may try it now. I'm hopeful that the smaller end does an effective job of blending into problem areas- sides of nose, close to eyes etc. Thanks for the (motivating!) review ...
Thanks for the review. I have heard much about this sponge. How exactly does it differ from your ordinary makeup sponge? Is the material different? It seems like it they can be used interchangeably. Thanks again.
It's not as dense and the pores are not as fine as those of this "cake pieces", but it has no edges so there are no strokes. You can roll it over the skin
I adore the beauty blender too :) I use it myself! For hd/cream foundations it's really amazing. There's a less expensive version in the US by Sonia Kashuk, it is more dense and doesn't "bounce" as well, but still quite similar.
I counted three winks, Wayne. You are particularly flirty today. I'm blushing! LOL
Thanks for the review. I have often thought to buy a sponge like this, but doubted how well it would work. However, I think I will try the less expensive version first (Sonia Kashuk). Have a lovely day!
you dont think that it is wasting the product by absorbing it inside the sponge? i have the target brand one that was $10 and i have used it, i like the way it makes an airbrushed look but i think it is using more foundation than i would with a foundation brush. let me know what you think. thanks!
LIEHIEZE, I am not sure where you are located, but Sonia Kashuk makes a similar product that sales for $8.99 at Target stores. I can not recommend it as I have never used it, but the price is much more affordable and it looks very similar to this product.

I have a few questions:
Have you ever tried to knock offs? Such as Ulta? (can you use the cleaner with it?)
Is there an alternative to the cleaner?
Is there a hygienic way to clean the beauty blender between clients or is this something I should just keep for myself?

If you look at his other videos, they are not this blur. Probably reduced fps or condensed quality.

LIEHIEZE, I am not sure where you are located, but Sonia Kashuk makes a similar product that sales for $8.99 at Target stores. I can not recommend it as I have never used it, but the price is much more affordable and it looks very similar to this product.

Well, I live in the Netherlands so I cannot get my hands on the Sonia Kashuk one either :(
