This takes me back to when football was a game, a game to be enjoyed & players wanted to play for the club and may the best team win. Not the cheating, win at all costs corporate rich man's toy it's now become.
@myfavouritethings But wasn't Phil Thompson cheating and winning (or not) at all costs? He went on tv and admitted a 'professional foul' against O'Hare (in the first game of this clip), outside the area, then added "AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN!"
tbf though, Clough always wanted to play in the right spirit though, and would have been disgusted if any of his own players had been boasting about a foul.
