As a ps3 owner I never thought of little big planet as a savior or great game for the ps3. I normally get caught up in hype, but not for this one. I knew being geared as a "family style game" it wouldn't be all that great. I have played it, it is kind of fun, but not enough for me to buy it. Plus, it seems to be a game designed for people on acid, like Katamari. But I do like other ps3 exclusives (KZ2, MGS4, R2, Uncharted 1 &2).

Considering that it was the first game in a new style of video gaming, yeah it turned out pretty good. The controls are a little too picky, imo and it probably could have stood to be a little more open world than it was. As a game it was ok, not great but not bad. That's just my opinion tho.

all that thing about ssbb, i recon resident evil 5 fits that category better. RE5 is a brilliant game, much better than a lot of things that have come before and at the saem time as it. however, it was hyped as going to be more popular than god, and destroy all other games before it and ever to come. in short, it was very good, but not that good. overhyping a game is just setting the stage for a letdown.

Certainly. It comes from another embarrassing moment in Sony's 06 E3 presentation. One of their people was showing off a game that, according to him, "[Features] battles that actually took place in ancient Japan" and "is based on Japanese history". The next words out of his mouth were, "So here's this giant enemy crab". It's funny because it's as if he's saying the ancient Japanese were fighting Giant Enemy Crabs.

Of course this has now become an internet phenomenon.
