I had a snow-white foster cat with yellow eyes that was deaf. I named him Whisper because he was white as a whispery cloud and because he meowed really loudly. The coolest most laid back cat ever. I had one with a half tail named Cassie. Loved her too.

@jonasloverforever100 It's this odd little cackle they have, and it's usually done when they are watching a bird or squirrel. They seem overwhelmed with the desire to get out and play with them, curious, etc. It's very cute that Jupiter does this as his usual meow!

My cat Truman meows similar to Jupiter. I call it a "meh". He had a severe upper respiratory infection when I got him. I think that's the cause. It also left him with a runny eye.

this sound has nothing to do with the frustrated chortling sound when they see a bird outside or so, it's a kind of squeek that shows a higher level of "feeling good" than even purring. No doubt about that snowbirdies cats live in a long time wellness farm :-) A cat that doesn't meow has nothing to complain about :-)

Not all cats will do it, usually its only by cats who are emerged in the hunt/not too fat to move lol Mine is, she's too lazy to hunt. Although she will chase the occasional fly ;')

Most people don't realize that cats are amazing mimics. Almost all cats can imitate and replicate bird calls. If you make high clicking noises to a kitten, it can replicate them (to the best of its ability) by the time they are 8 weeks old. If you make sneezing noises, it will try to replicate those as wells. Youtube is full of videos of cats imitating the sound their owners make.

@goldpenguin10 Mine's a black cat and she does it, but only when she's "hunting" birds through the window, or if she's chasing a fly or other bug in the house. We had another black cat with white whiskers who did it, but I've had other cats who didn't. Look up "cat chattering" on youtube. They do it to mimic their prey and lure them in. It's completely normal. Even big cats such as lions and tigers do it occasionally!

The 'aack' is actually chattering, because cats always do it when hunting/spotting prey. Example is my cat sees the lazer pointer, he chatters.
