My step-dad used to get beaten by his ex wife and he would never lay a finger on her (cause if he did, he would be in greater shit than her). She even smashed his head with a phone he using whilst talking to their kids with it. It's fucked up that she got away with it. Women shouldn't be allowed to hit men and be treated the same as men if they do. Men have GOT to stop sticking up for women if they're hitting a guy first and he ends up lashing out. These men don't tell because they'll have a reputation which may bring abuse FROM OTHER MEN at the equal and opposite direction of the force. Abused by a man he expects to suffer greater damage.
This is a great example of how Domestic Violence doesn't just affect women. I can't believe that men are being beaten by women and the authorities are doing nothing about it because they don't see men as victims. My uncle Peter McBride went through 8 years of domestic abuse before his girlfriend stabbed him and killed him. He was just 25 and done nothing to provoke her and he never hit back. Men shouldn't be afraid to tell someone. Better to tell someone or face what happened to my uncle.
First time your partner shows this side of their personality you terminate the relationship.. Period.. it only gets worse not better.
