i get what you're saying on one hand since the best era of heavyweights came right on the tail end of moore's career, but the fact that the dude could have almost 300 fights and still be effective almost all the way shows that he pretty much took no punishment. i'd have to wonder if any of those guys you named would be able to connect with him consistently enough to hurt him.
I think Archie was one of the better puncher in the 50's years..very dogged person, never beaten neither after the fight wirh Marciano in 55' or Alì in 62'..
I would like to read his Life story "Ageless Warrior"...but in Italy is not easy to find..

yes but randy is more of a legend, a better boxer, perhaps not as accurate as pompey. he was hitting moore way more than rocky or joey maxim.
