Monica, exceptional job! you have represented the Word of God accurately. This is the first video that i have seen of yours, and based on some examples of Spiritual Gifts based on Romans 12, yes, "the one who teaches, in his teaching"...you have this gift and even the gift of "exhortation"... Praise God for our Brothers and Sisters who can edify the Church, "for as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function."... God Bless You.
That fact is that the Word speaks both of predestination and free will. It doesn't make sense to me in my human mind how they can both be true but they are. It is purely PRIDE that won't let us say I don't understand but it doesn't matter because He alone is God and I am not.
yes! l love this. God is not coming for denominations guys! He is coming for those who do His will. idolatry is not only in form of statues but people you idolize. Scripture teaches us that any man who changes the Word of God will have consequences!!! Great Video keep up the good work!
@JoshnJesus Romans 1 tells us that God gave them over to a reprobate mind because though they knew Him, they failed to ackowedge Him. God gave the children over to a stoney heat because they kept sinning and rebelling against Him.
Ezekial 18:30Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
@JoshnJesus Matthew 22:8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9 Therefore go into the highways, and AS MANY AS YOU FIND, INVITE TO THE WEDDING.’ 10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.
@mothcorrupteth well you should atleast tell them that maybe there is a chance that you will go to hell regardless. If Christ didnt come to save all men then present the gospel in that what you claim to be truth.
1Cor1:10 doesn't apply to the C\A debate. Paul warned the Corinthians for being factious by following men who had SOUND DOCTRINE ie, himself, Peter, Apollos etc. His admonishment doesn't apply to the C/A debate because the division is about fundamental bible doctrines, not personality or style. Calvinism has a different gospel ("Repent, for Christ MIGHT have died for you"), & misportrays God as casting certain people into hell in order to "glorify himself" Unity isn't an option with heresy.
My hat goes off to you Monica! Round of an applause! With the power of descernment you have righteously rebuked! I truly thank you for what you're doing.
we are supposed to contend earnestly for the faith, and that is a form of argument. We are not supposed to argue over silly/unproductive or unimportant things that do not pertain to eternal life, and that is where Calvinists usually fail. They argue over semantics and use arguments that pull God's words so far out of context that the "gospel" they present is not even similar to the gospel that Jesus speaks in the Bible. They would have us believe that God does not love all humans, only the elect
The reason people plug into an "ism" -- a system of theology -- is because they do not want to study and learn for themselves, to let the Holy Spirit lead and guide them into all truth. Calvin formed a system which people blindly follow. Too bad. Study to show thyself approved!
AMEN. praise God I really hear what the word of God is saying. Keep pressing sister. They hate u cause God Loves you. And that they hated Jesus first.
I dunno about Calvinists but I heard you loud and clear.., I belong to no denomination and have no fellowship with any church but I no when Gods message is delivered and much of what you said applied to me aswell.
Thank you Monica for speaking out for those of us who read the Bible without a point of view !
The Word of God is NOT of individual interpretation!
people are SO brainwashed with a point of view on a verse that when they read it they are not allowing God through the Holy Spirit to speak to them that day.
God speaks to you through the Spirit when you read the Bible, but if you read it with the point of view of someone else, you are stopping God to teach you that day.
loved the sermon Monica! only on scripture and God can we truly lean on;
John 14:26, "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all the things that I said to you."
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
"Only those who love Him & seek Him personally. I've not known a groom to seek to be one with another who does [not] love them & seek to know more about them by spending their personal time with him." - AllForYeshua
Is it not the groom who pursues and woos his bride? Did not Christ win the love of His bride on the cross? Who is the one who initiates the relationship? Or did our foreseen faith woo Christ? Is Christ's saving love contingent upon our works?
(Is it not the groom who pursues and woos his bride? Did not Christ win the love of His bride on the cross? Who is the one who initiates the relationship? Or did our foreseen faith woo Christ? Is Christ's saving love contingent upon our works?)
Seeking with one's heart is not a work of the flesh, as you seem to have confused it with. A work of the flesh is about one cleaning the outside, as did the Pharisees. I suggest that you get to know Gomer, the Bride.
This video makes no sense saying Calvinist's are making an idol our of John Calvin, what about the arminians are they making an idol out of Jacobus Arminius? Its the exact same thing, I wish people would think more before they make posts like this
I don't worship Calvin and I try not to be divisive; I simply believe that I cannot raise myself from the dead. Christ has to reveal Himself to me. I see that in the Bible, not Calvin.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the matters of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the matters of the Spirit. For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. Because the mind of the flesh is enmity towards Elohim, for it does not subject itself1 to the Torah of Elohim, neither indeed is it able"
For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to WHOM He wishes. "
In context, Yahushua was responding to the religious Jews who were appalled at Him healing on the Sabbath. That was simply His response-telling them that leading a sick man into salvation can be done by God on any day and to whom He wishes. Text w/o a context, is pre text.
"Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be." Romans 8:7. We cannot obey God's laws apart from the Spirit. We CAN repent and turn to God...or He would not have throughout time commanded us to. I would not order my children to do something they could not do...and then be angry when they did not do it, knowing full well it was never within their power. I would be considered crazy if I did.
"agat03 said: "....that salvation is a GIFT and it must be accepted. You CAN NOT LOVE WITHOUT CHOICE! Period"
---->FALSE"
LOL Then you don't understand love. You can't buy love. You can't steal love. You can't barder for love. You can't force love. And you can not love what you fear. The ONLY WAY to know if someone loves you is to give them the option not to love you.
Agatt0r said: "LOL Then you don't understand love. You can't buy love. You can't steal love. You can't barder for love. You can't force love. And you can not love what you fear. The ONLY WAY to know if someone loves you is to give them the option not to love you."
Answer) God doesnt need man to love him. God is under no obligation to save anyone. God's love is demonstrated in this: that while every human being deserves his wrath without question - he has unconditionally chosen to save some.
"God doesnt need man to love him. God is under no obligation to save anyone. God's love is demonstrated in this: that while every human being deserves his wrath without question - he has unconditionally chosen to save some. "
You have no idea who Yahuweh is. I have shown you a myriad of verses that explain that God sent His Son so the whole world could be saved and yet you discount all of those and offer your opinion.
agat03 said: "God sent His Son so the whole world could be saved and yet you discount all of those and offer your opinion. "
Answer) Actually your NOT basing your conclusions on a COMPREHENSIVE reading of scripture - that's why your not correct. I have shown you that the Father sent Jesus into the "World" with the specific mission of seeking and saving all that the Father gave him out of the "World"
"your NOT basing your conclusions on a COMPREHENSIVE reading of scripture - that's why your not correct. "
OK, Tired of the accusations. Tell me, since you know scripture so well, when did His sacrifice occur(day and year please). What is God's name, and nwhat is the name of the Messiah? Please answer these three questions.
agat0r said: "Huh? Who gives this "ability" and who doesn't have it? "
A) By nature- NO ONE has this ability as we are all Dead in sin and the Children of Wrath. By nature, a sinner is unable to know, choose or Love God the true God (Total Depravity)
B) God sovereignly gives the ability through regeneration. A sinner must be made born again (regenerated, ressurected) from his DEAD nature to believe and Love God.
" By nature- NO ONE has this ability as we are all Dead in sin and the Children of Wrath. By nature, a sinner is unable to know, choose or Love"
Who teaches you this crap? No one can love because we are all sinners? Weird. Before I even knew God, I'm pretty sure that I loved my mother, sisters, and dog. If your God says this, He is wrong and thus unable to assume the position of God.
Answer) Please demonstrate how the sun, moon, rain, wind, life existence of the Earth are NOT gifts of God.
Then Please also demonstrate how you personally made a "decisional acceptance" to be born into this life. Then demonstrate how you can make a "decisional acceptance" to depart from this life.
Once you realize that God is sovereign - you realize that he does not need anyones approval to do his will!
"Once you realize that God is sovereign - you realize that he does not need anyones approval to do his will!" This is true...what you are missing is that it is His will that people choose Him. His plan of salvation is still HIS plan. He still predestines us to adoption according to His foreknowledge. The Scriptures really do flow together. Bless you.
(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
"No - Forknowledge does not imply forknowledge of Faith - otherwise it would be postknowledge."
I'm not following you. God knows the end from the beginning. This is foreknowledge. Everywhere in the Bible we are told to choose - to follow - to repent. We CAN choose or we would not be told to. God does not lie or tempt.
We who are inside of time must choose Him - and we can. It is all of His grace because none of us are worthy - but His grace is extended to all.
1) God know the beg. from the end because he wrote it. We do not write history - God does. God forknows his people because he chose them.
2) We are all commanded to believe, follow, repent - not because we have the internal ability too - but because God holds man responsible for his inability (DEAD sin nature)
3)God also COMMANDS that we keep the commandments perfectly - although he knows we cannot.? So why did he give them? Because he holds man responsible for his Inability.
"agat03 said: "....that salvation is a GIFT and it must be accepted. You CAN NOT LOVE WITHOUT CHOICE! "
-->FALSE"
Sigh
"For by charitable grace (charis - a favor) you have been saved by way of trust, and not of yourselves, it is a gift from God lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8)
That is as clear as words allow.
"If Christ paid for our sins on the cross "
"Christ" isn't His name or Title, and the "cross" has always been a satanic symbol, and it doesn't exist in Scripture.
agat0r said: "For by charitable grace (charis - a favor) you have been saved by way of trust, and not of yourselves, it is a gift from God lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8)"
Answer) I now see that you have a greater problem than you first led on to. You are in a Cult. For what it's worth - I advise you to flee that religion and seek a biblically based congregation. You wont go wrong with a Reformed church such as: Orthodox Presbyterian (OPC) or Presnyterian Church in America (PCA)
LOL No. What part of "I hate all religions" do you not grasp?
"Let me guess - your group also denies the Trinity, correct? "
I don't have a "group", and the word "trinity" is man made. But I think I understand your question and I'll tell you that God manifests Himself, and a part of Him is set apart, so yes, Yahushua was Yahuweh, and so is the Set Apart Spirit. Did that answer your question? If not, I'll try again.
Hmmm.Once this is known, why continue what we are doing? Why would you ever tell someone about what you believe-it doesn't matter? Why observe His commands? Why love God? We also may as well live anyway we want, as we are either "His elect" or we are not(only He knows).
We would also have to discount, throw away, or make excuses for countless verses such as:
"For this is good and acceptable before Elohim our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. "
"Yahuweh is not slow in regard to the promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward us, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."
"All (kol - everyone) of us like sheep have gone astray. Man has turned to his own way. But Yahuweh has caused the guilt and punishment of us all (kol - all) to fall on Him."
" My little children, I write this to you, so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Intercessor with the Father, Yahushua Messiah, a righteous One. And He Himself is an atoning offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world."
"But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the messengers, Yahushua, because of the suffering of death crowned with esteem and respect, that by the favour of Elohim He should taste death for everyone. "
agat03 said: " But Yahuweh has caused the guilt and punishment of us all (kol - all) to fall on Him."kol - all means all, that's all, all means "
If this was true then ALL humanity would be saved - All humans would believe on Jesus - and no one would be going to Hell because GOD could not commit the double jeopardy of punishing sin twice.
If Jesus died as a penal substitution for the SIns of ALL humanity - then God will not punish the same sins again of those who fail to believe.
"desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
ALL MEN = The Elect given by the Father NOT all Humanity."
Do you just make the rules up as you go along? Why do you try to creat a God in your image? The verse doesn't say anything about "the elect", so why do you spew such non sense? The verse says that God desires all men to be saved. Not some-but ALL. Even if it was "the elect", why would God say this? Doesn't He know that they are all predestined to be the elect?
agat03 said: "The verse says that God desires all men to be saved. Not some-but ALL.
Answer) You need a COMPREHENSIVE view of the scriptures - There is NO evidence that suggests ALL means ALL humanity. The evidence is that ALL means ALL of his elect:
Romans 11:5,7
..at this present time also there is a remnant according to the ELECTION of grace
What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the ELECTION hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded
That would mean that one isn't of the elect, b/c his heart still shows him to be unregenerate. One needs to have to have saving faith, which can only be granted by a holy God who first regenerates the heart by His grace.
One who loves God will seek to obey God for this is evidence of salvation. God will not be mocked. Even the demons believe & they shudder for they realize that judgment is coming.
The Doctrines of Grace give God all the glory for salvation, b/c it is a gift of God.
agat03 said: "Hmmm.Once this is known, why continue what we are doing? Why would you ever tell someone about what you believe-it doesn't matter? Why observe His commands? Why love God? We also may as well live anyway we want, as we are either "His elect" or we are not(only He knows). "
agat03 said: "So you are commanded to love God? Brilliant. I don't like your God"
1) Your reply proves that you "don't like" the God of the scriptures since God commands ALL men to love him:
Joshua 22:5
But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to LOVE THE LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul
Reading all of these responses is unbelievable to me. See, the entire reason I was agnostic for 30 years is because the Church proclaims(like the people here) that a loving God says: "you either love me or I will torture you forever in hell". Sorry folks, but that God is not lovable. Furthermore, there are 3 destinations-not two. I believe the ignorance of this scriptural fact is what leads to the responses I have been reading.
agat0r said: "I believe the ignorance of this scriptural fact is what leads to the responses I have been reading" And I believe that you are ignorant to the scriptural fact that man is Totally and radically depraved in sin - unable to save himself outside of sovereign grace. You dont to grasp the severity of Original SIn and That's because you do not submit your faith to the foundational doctrines. I recommend you read the Westminster Shorter Catechism -sums up the bible basics for you.
"And I believe that you are ignorant to the scriptural fact that man is Totally and radically depraved in sin - unable to save himself outside "
LOL I fully understand that and that is what scripture says. Fortunately, I will not be judged, as I will be given a garment of light that will allow me to be in His presence. Yahushua's blood covers us!.........if we accept His gift and rely on His atoning sacrifice. That is the message that flows from the renewed covenant.
I have been past the "Bible basics" for some time now. I spend my time delving into the oldest Hebrew and Greek manuscripts on the planet. While you read the Bible(a name from a pagan sun goddess) I read Scripture. While you concern yourself with the opinions of man, I am only concerned about what Scripture reveals.
"I recommend you read the Westminster Shorter Catechism -sums up the bible basics for you." CTULIP, if you got nothing else from this video, wouldn't you agree that it's Jesus' words that matter?
I recommend to anyone and everyone, read the Word of God and seek the Holy Spirit on this topic.
Excuse me - even David Koresh read the bible too - doesnt mean he was in truth.
The Westminster SHorter Catechism sums up very nicely what the scriptures teach. The question that we all need to ask is this: is what we believe the historical, orthodox Christian faith?
I don't know a thing about the Westminster Shorter Catechism. In your opinion it sums up nicely what the Scriptures teach - and it may. I'm saying we run into problems when we go to something other than the Bible to form our understanding of Scripture. There's a chance we'll come away with a good grasp of the truth - there's also a chance we'll take as truth some error by man. You're much likelier to be deceived by man's words than by going to the Word of God and putting trust in the Holy Spirit.
understood. But considerthat every denomination whether they hold a true gospel or a false gospel will tell people to go the bible. There is no guarantee that people will actually UNDERSTAND all that the scriptures teach
We can learn from church history. They already fought many of the heresy battles we see ressurging in our day. To ignore historical church documents is to repeat the mistakes of the past
Anyway - you seem sincere so I encourage you to read the Westminster Catechism
@ChristianTULIP People can understand the Bible, if they seek God with all their heart, God will reveal the truth of His Word to those who diligently seek Him. What you actually dont' want people to do is read the Bible but instead read the WMC to come to your viewopint instead of the Bible's. The reason why we have so many denominations is because men read what men write about the Bible instead of reading the Bible themselves. Reject WMC and embrace the Bible only.
@ChristianTULIP Dear Brother/Sister... You are correct in stating there is no guarantee that people will understand all the scriptures teach....that is...without the Holy Spirit. The fact is, without FIRST having a humble heart (and maintaining it!), then NONE OF US can even claim to have received the Holy Spirit. And when we show forth the fruits of unrighteousness (striving, wrath, pride, etc.), we grieve the Holy Spirit and we are left alone in our own faulty intellect without the truth.
(The Westminster SHorter Catechism sums up very nicely what the scriptures teach. The question that we all need to ask is this: is what we believe the historical, orthodox Christian faith? )
That demonstrates the difference between a seeker of the Lord, & not. You study Calvinsm to understand scripture, the spirit of pride. We study the Bible to know our Lord, as a Bride does her Groom. Jesus isn't coming back for a Bride who is trying to dominate His wisdom & Way.
You study the Bible to know the Lord and yet you deny the foundational teachings of the Lord and misunderstand what you read. To reject the doctrines of Grace shows a lack of scriptural understanding and spirit of heretical error. I can prove this to you from scripture one doctrine at a time!
What I'd like to know is why this Jezabel is going against the teaching of Scripture and setting herself up as a teacher of the Word. See 1 Tim. 2v12. Also, like most people who oppose what's come to be known as 'Calvinism' haven't a clue what it is all about or even what the man John Calvin actually taught. She should keep her mouth shut and start to obey the Bible. as for following people -she should stop following herself and her own self conceited ideas. This devil woman is untaught.
Simply because an unredeemed man can "choose" pizza over brussels sprouts or Diet Coke over Lemonade has ZERO to do with his ability to "choose" repentance and faith in Christ.
2 Cor 4:4
"in whose case the god of this world has BLINDED the minds of the unbelieving..."
Honestly, I take no pleasure in the damming reality of sin, but I have learned that man hates God ( even as believers we STILL choose sin ) so how much more IMPOSSIBLE for fallen man to freely "desire" repentance ?
scott, Why did God choose Israel? There's a reason. God didn't force Abraham to take Isaac up that mountain. But when God saw Abraham ready to kill his son, he stopped him, cuz then he knew that Abraham truly loved & trusted him.
Genesis 22:12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
scottidee > stop looking through your 'calvinistic' coke bottle glasses.
your "total depravity" doctrine is a LIE.
Scripture says >>>
Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, DO B NATURE The Things Contained in the Law these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom 2:15 Which shew the work of the LAW WRITTEN IN THEIR HEARTS, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another
scottidee > stop looking through your 'calvinistic' coke bottle glasses.
your "total depravity" doctrine is a LIE.
Scripture says >>>
Rom 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, DO BY NATURE The Things Contained in the Law these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Rom 2:15 Which shew the work of the LAW WRITTEN IN THEIR HEARTS, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another
Its the entire world. Jesus died for everyone (Hebrews 2:9; John 3:16). God wants all to come to know the truth (I Timothy 2:4). The invitation is open to all, 24 hours a day. There's no such thing as waiting on God's "special call.'' (Matthew 11:28-30; Revelation 22:17). He has already issued His call, and it has gone out unto the whole world. Any of us can choose to answer it, or not.
When Adam and Eve were found in sin, being spiritually dead, totally depraved and completely separted from the fellowship of Yah, they chose to run and hide, in their own stinch of self righteousness. While they were ~YET~ sinners, Yah covered them in ~HIS~ righteousness. They had ~NO~part in salvation. The decision to cover them, was Yah's alone.
John 6:45 reveals how God draws men unto Himself. "It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught of God.' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me." Note the words "taught" and "every man" (all drawn the same way; by being taught) and "hear" and "learn" and "come". They are common, everyday words which are used to describe how it is that people are drawn to Christ.
Its important that man learn sound doctrine NOT Calvins doctrine.
The first TIC TOC video I saw was a webathon..I was horrified. Then I listened to Monica's messages...I was humbled. I pray that my love for God's truth could be even half as powerful and obvious as Monica's.
Paul Washer is "blameless" by scriptural standards?...that's absurd."for ALL have sinned...", "there is none righteous. No, not one"...Y'all shouldn't be arguing...how about LISTEN to the WORD being spoken by Monica? Let the Spirit teach you and the WORD and make it alive and real in your life?
Actus7 needs to understand that 'election' does not mean that God precludes people from believing
And that 'whosoever' is also accepted by Biblicists who acknowledge the words of scripture eg know, foreknowledge, election, chosen, called, appointed and set apart.
Thus "whosoever" is to all, but the Biblicist sees that only the chosen soul will ACT on God's offer.
Free Wiil ( false term ) always leads to the rejection of salvation.
Amen Rachella38 and without freewill there would be no need for hell... all men would auto worship God being made puppets from the foundations of the earth.....
If God did not make men with freewill... God being loving would then make us to auto worship Him rather than make any exclusive for hell.
How can I say that?
He displayed His love for all men on the cross.
Conclusion this life is merely a test of mens hearts.
You are making the gigantic "leap" that casual human choice(s) is somehow equal to freely "choosing" God as if He is a Mocha Latte' or a Number # 5 w / Duck Sauce.
God calling all souls to repent IS an open invitation and command. - Agreed
However, ONLY those whom God has personally enlightened will ACTUALLY heed the call .
2 Corinthians 4:4
"... the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to KEEP them from seeing the light ..."
Romans does not say all men suppress the truth. "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of MEN, WHO SUPPRESS THE TRUTH in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God IS manifest in them, for God HAS shown it to them." The Bible says some suppress the truth; His wrath is to be revealed against those who do this. Please note:THEY'RE doing the suppressing.
We all start off blinded by sin none can see till they can see.
There are not many ways to be drawn to God. In fact, there is only one way to come to the Father (John 14:6). One cannot get to heaven through Jesus apart from obeying Him (Hebrews 5:9). Those who attempt to enter another way are counted as thieves and robbers and will be unsuccessful (John 10:1).
"...the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God,should shine unto them." The god of this world is Satan,& yes he has blinded the minds of them that do not believe. I was blind before the Holy Spirit called me- I said YES to His offer: "Behold I stand at the door and knock: IF ANY MAN hear my voice, AND open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." I heard,AND opened.
Quagmire, you still haven't answered my question. Do you believe that this urging of the Spirit is necessary in order for a man to come to repentance? Or is it possible for the man to repent even without this urgance of the Spirit?
(2 ... Cont) The former is exegesis, and would be able to be demonstrated to us through a critical examination of the text itself. The latter is eisegesis, and is not a valid way of interpreting the text.
(1) "At the same time, using that "granting" verses doesn't prove "predestination", for there would be reasons why someone isn't granted repentance... like they are sincere, or some other reason."
Quagmire, when looking at such verses in context, is this idea of yours based on the text o Scripture itself or is it something you are implying from experience or tradition? (Cont...)
So...we SHOULDN'T listen to men like Paul Washer who've devoted their LIVES to the study of the Bible. Men who, by scriptural standards, are "blameless."
But (as your other videos advise) we SHOULD support men who've begun ministries w/out ever having read the Bible, like Jim Bakker--that excon who extorted millions in his tv network. We SHOULD support him...but not - guys like John Piper?
Really?
Cause...Titus 1:7 says leaders shouldn't be caught, "pursuing dishonest gain."
In order to reinstate men like this as their leader, people must first contradict the Word of God to do so. So it begs the question: who is their God? Is it Christ? Or is it Jim Bakker?
I totally agree with you Monica that we do have a choice to make. My question is why did you decide to serve Christ while your neighbor did not. Please answer this.
So, defending the Gospel against heretics is being divise? Hm. So Paul, as well was being divisive when he told Timothy to "command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer "? (1st Tim 1:3)
the eaerth is the proper distance from the sun for life which shows God is merciful to life and is good, therefore a good reason to believe in a good God.Jesus dying in the place of sinners on a cruel cross, and all we have to do is put our faith and trust in Jesus as our God and saviour and turn from our sins, to inherit eternal happiness in paradise, also shows Gods love
..so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
I do want to say that I appreciate Ms. Dennington allowing even video responses that don't agree with her position. That's reputable. I also want to say that I do believe that Ms. Dennington is a sister and believes her heart is in the right place, but I also believe that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. (Jer. 17:9) That includes my heart and all of our hearts as well which is even further proof that we need to make sure that our theology agrees with Scripture.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we learn in about 2-3 years that Ms. Dennington has become a Calvinist. Many of us (myself included) went through the same hostility when first exposed to the doctrines of grace and reacted against many of the straw men that have nothing to do with Calvinism. The only difference between her and us may be that we went through our struggle in private whereas she's videotaping it.
Lane, This could be true. I myself am new to Calvinism, only been one about a year now. :) I was hostile to it as well, until I started taking what they said and studying it with Scripture and then I realized this is RIGHT!!! And it made so much sense then. Yeah, my struggle was private. I don't think I'd want to video tape that! God bless you, brother!
I'm not trying to be mean but, I have to be honest with you......I've seen some of the comments that you and others have been putting about Monica and joking about that vid 'Monica-at tickity toc ministires' which is just plain disgusting!!
If you actually *believe* that Monica is your sister in Christ, why don't you *treat* her like one? Why would you treat her with such dishonour?
Let us treat each other with love & respect, even if we disagree....the Lord is watching...
I love this verse because he is clearly speaking to believers here so, it is saying He died NOT for BELIEVERS ONLY, but ALSO for UNBELIEVERS TOO!!
Praise God that He is full of mercy and compassion and whilst we were ALL yet sinners, He died for us!! So, that we, who turn and repent, could be saved!!
Calvinism is a misnomer. Paul taught predestination and Jesus taught God's absolute sovereignty over salvation including who would be given to Jesus from the Father. If people who reject this difficult & important truth were called "Scofieldists" or some such thing THEY would be called idolaters. This is a red haring. People who believe in the doctrines of grace DO NOT FOLLOW A MAN NAMED CALVIN. This would be better suited to be directed at Mormons who truly DO hold a man above the word of God.
If Calvinism is true, then I feel sooooo loved and privilleged to have been chosen by God to be one of His children....and desperately sorry for those who are not chosen.....my heart goes out to them and I wish we could change God's mind over who is going to burn alive for eternity.....
If Calvinism is wrong......then PRAISE GOD, we ALL have the chance to respond to the Gospel!!!
"If Calvinism is true, ... I wish we could change God's mind over who is going to burn alive for eternity..."
In which case one wonders whether you are really willing to submit to his sovereign will. I'm fully aware that God will put many people I know and love in hell, but if God opts to pass them by, that's His business. Who am I to complain, when it's by grace that I wasn't passed by?
If Calvinism is wrong, then what praise is there for God? If Calvinism is wrong, the glory is yours for being good enough in your will to choose God, and when the damned get chucked into the pit, you have reason to sit in smug satisfaction that you weren't so foolish. You have reason to boast. And you have no reason to feel any confidence that God's kingdom cannot be shaken -- if it is by a free will, then what is to stop a second Fall?
I personally think that's the unspoken Achilles heel of modern Arminian theology. The Calvinist can say, "There will never be a second Fall because God has the sovereign control to prevent it." He can say with certainty that the prophecies in Rev. 22 are a certain hope.
The Arminian can't. Adam and Eve fell by their free will, their descendents are saved by their free will, and there's nothing to stop us all from falling again when we all get to heaven. What a day of anxiety that will be.
"one wonders whether you are really willing to submit to his sovereign will"
Erm, of course I am willing to submit to my Father...whether I understand or agree with Him or not has NOTHING to do with it!! He is the Potter and I am just clay, who am I to argue!! But, you've completely missed my point!
"if God opts to pass them by, that's His business"
Sorry but this is EXACTLY my point about calvinism......its SICK!! You don't CARE just as long as ur in the lifeboat, huh? Show some compassion.
"You don't CARE just as long as ur in the lifeboat, huh?"
Let me use an illustration. My fiancee had a seizure Saturday, and she's in the hospital right now. I know that she's got so many medical problems that she's probably going to die before I do. And if she died today, I'd be very grieved. But I would not question God about it, not only because I trust Him, but also because I don't have a right to. He made the air that I breathe, and I'm not entitled to it. That He gives it anyway...
The Bible teaches predestination (but that does NOT make me a calvinist)...the Bible teaches that we have ALL been offered salvation (but Im no Arminian).....the Bible teaches the gifts of the Spirit (but Im no charismatic)...the Bible teaches holiness unto the Lord (but Im no Methodist)..its teaches baptism (im no baptist).....I believe it ALL.
But, you seem to WANT calvinism to be true? My 'desires' r irrelevant but, I want the lost to be SAVED!
It is hard to teach the Catholics this, too, as they follow the Pope instead of Jesus.

Thank you for bringing the Word of God Monica!
That fact is that the Word speaks both of predestination and free will. It doesn't make sense to me in my human mind how they can both be true but they are. It is purely PRIDE that won't let us say I don't understand but it doesn't matter because He alone is God and I am not.

@JoshnJesus Romans 1 tells us that God gave them over to a reprobate mind because though they knew Him, they failed to ackowedge Him. God gave the children over to a stoney heat because they kept sinning and rebelling against Him.

Thanks for this video. Just one question:When the Bible speaks of not splitting up into fractions, is it talking about Baptists and Methodists too?
Camalot777 1 year ago
1Cor1:10 doesn't apply to the C\A debate. Paul warned the Corinthians for being factious by following men who had SOUND DOCTRINE ie, himself, Peter, Apollos etc. His admonishment doesn't apply to the C/A debate because the division is about fundamental bible doctrines, not personality or style. Calvinism has a different gospel ("Repent, for Christ MIGHT have died for you"), & misportrays God as casting certain people into hell in order to "glorify himself" Unity isn't an option with heresy.

we are supposed to contend earnestly for the faith, and that is a form of argument.

Thank you Monica!

Seeking with one's heart is not a work of the flesh, as you seem to have confused it with. A work of the flesh is about one cleaning the outside, as did the Pharisees. I suggest that you get to know Gomer, the Bride.

Because like Scripture says over and oer again....that salvation is a GIFT and it must be accepted. You CAN NOT LOVE WITHOUT CHOICE! Period!
agat0r 2 years ago 5
if that is the case, then how come making the wrong choice is exempt from "all the sins of all men"
are you saying that Jesus only died for some of the sins of all men?
i am not looking for an argument here, i am trying to understand
unbelief and not choosing Christ are sins that are not forgiven?
if so then you cannot say that Jesus died for all the sins of all men

1) If Christ paid for our sins on the cross - they are paid for once and for all. God will never again need to punish them.
2) God's gifts are effectual not contingent upon any acceptance. God gives gifts everyday such as sunlight & Rain without our decisional acceptance
3) You CANNOT love without ability. Man is spiritually disabled to love God before the new birth

Answer) God doesnt need man to love him. God is under no obligation to save anyone. God's love is demonstrated in this: that while every human being deserves his wrath without question - he has unconditionally chosen to save some.

Answer) Actually your NOT basing your conclusions on a COMPREHENSIVE reading of scripture - that's why your not correct. I have shown you that the Father sent Jesus into the "World" with the specific mission of seeking and saving all that the Father gave him out of the "World"

agat0r 2 years ago

A) By nature- NO ONE has this ability as we are all Dead in sin and the Children of Wrath. By nature, a sinner is unable to know, choose or Love God the true God (Total Depravity)
B) God sovereignly gives the ability through regeneration. A sinner must be made born again (regenerated, ressurected) from his DEAD nature to believe and Love God.
ChristianTULIP 2 years ago

Who teaches you this crap? No one can love because we are all sinners? Weird. Before I even knew God, I'm pretty sure that I loved my mother, sisters, and dog. If your God says this, He is wrong and thus unable to assume the position of God.

agat0r said: Lunacy and unscriptural.

ChristianTULIP 2 years ago
"Once you realize that God is sovereign - you realize that he does not need anyones approval to do his will!" This is true...what you are missing is that it is His will that people choose Him. His plan of salvation is still HIS plan. He still predestines us to adoption according to His foreknowledge. The Scriptures really do flow together. Bless you.
Jimvesterstallone 2 years ago
1) "He still predestines us to adoption according to His foreknowledge."
No - Forknowledge does not imply forknowledge of Faith - otherwise it would be postknowledge.
Forknowledge in Romans 8 means a preknowledge of individual people because they were elected by God. This election was UNCONDITIONAL:
Romans 9:11
(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
ChristianTULIP 2 years ago
"No - Forknowledge does not imply forknowledge of Faith - otherwise it would be postknowledge."
I'm not following you. God knows the end from the beginning. This is foreknowledge. Everywhere in the Bible we are told to choose - to follow - to repent. We CAN choose or we would not be told to. God does not lie or tempt.
We who are inside of time must choose Him - and we can. It is all of His grace because none of us are worthy - but His grace is extended to all.
Jimvesterstallone 2 years ago 2
Jimvest,
1) God know the beg. from the end because he wrote it.

According to rules of THIS video post ANYONE who AGREES with Monica is now a divisive Monica-ist .
*
Calvin set people on fire, but that does not mean he
INVENTED the biblical words of election, chosen, called and pre destined.
*
Personally, I 'm tired of the reformed cliques who celebrate God's damnation of lost souls MORE so than crying for them.
*
Calvinism is typically a systematic faction of idolatry, HOWEVER, the bible does teach God's unexplained election of the chosen few.

Hmmm.Once this is known, why continue what we are doing? Why would you ever tell someone about what you believe-it doesn't matter? Why observe His commands? Why love God? We also may as well live anyway we want, as we are either "His elect" or we are not(only He knows).
agat0r 2 years ago
We would also have to discount, throw away, or make excuses for countless verses such as:
"For this is good and acceptable before Elohim our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. "
"Yahuweh is not slow in regard to the promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward us, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."
agat0r 2 years ago
"All (kol - everyone) of us like sheep have gone astray. Man has turned to his own way. But Yahuweh has caused the guilt and punishment of us all (kol - all) to fall on Him."
kol - all means all, that's all, all means
agat0r 2 years ago
" My little children, I write this to you, so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Intercessor with the Father, Yahushua Messiah, a righteous One. And He Himself is an atoning offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world."
agat0r 2 years ago 2
"But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the messengers, Yahushua, because of the suffering of death crowned with esteem and respect, that by the favour of Elohim He should taste death for everyone. "

While an errant theological position can be supported with isolated verses, for a
conclusion to be true, no passage should be able to refute it.

That would mean that one isn't of the elect, b/c his heart still shows him to be unregenerate. One needs to have to have saving faith, which can only be granted by a holy God who first regenerates the heart by His grace.
One who loves God will seek to obey God for this is evidence of salvation. God will not be mocked. Even the demons believe & they shudder for they realize that judgment is coming.
The Doctrines of Grace give God all the glory for salvation, b/c it is a gift of God.

I recommend you read the Westminster Shorter Catechism -sums up the bible basics for you.

"sums up the bible basics for you."

Jimvester,
Excuse me - even David Koresh read the bible too - doesnt mean he was in truth.
The Westminster SHorter Catechism sums up very nicely what the scriptures teach. The question that we all need to ask is this: is what we believe the historical, orthodox Christian faith?
ChristianTULIP 2 years ago 2
I don't know a thing about the Westminster Shorter Catechism. In your opinion it sums up nicely what the Scriptures teach - and it may. I'm saying we run into problems when we go to something other than the Bible to form our understanding of Scripture. There's a chance we'll come away with a good grasp of the truth - there's also a chance we'll take as truth some error by man. You're much likelier to be deceived by man's words than by going to the Word of God and putting trust in the Holy Spirit.
Jimvesterstallone 2 years ago 3
Jim,
ChristianTULIP 2 years ago 12
@ChristianTULIP People can understand the Bible, if they seek God with all their heart, God will reveal the truth of His Word to those who diligently seek Him. What you actually dont' want people to do is read the Bible but instead read the WMC to come to your viewopint instead of the Bible's. The reason why we have so many denominations is because men read what men write about the Bible instead of reading the Bible themselves. Reject WMC and embrace the Bible only.
cubed07 1 year ago 2
@ChristianTULIP Dear Brother/Sister... You are correct in stating there is no guarantee that people will understand all the scriptures teach....that is...without the Holy Spirit. The fact is, without FIRST having a humble heart (and maintaining it!), then NONE OF US can even claim to have received the Holy Spirit. And when we show forth the fruits of unrighteousness (striving, wrath, pride, etc.), we grieve the Holy Spirit and we are left alone in our own faulty intellect without the truth.

AllForYeshua,
You study the Bible to know the Lord and yet you deny the foundational teachings of the Lord and misunderstand what you read.

2 Cor 4:4

Honestly, I take no pleasure in the damming reality of sin, but I have learned that man hates God ( even as believers we STILL choose sin ) so how much more IMPOSSIBLE for fallen man to freely "desire" repentance ?

Rachella38 2 years ago
Yes Rachella I repent, however, the real question is WHAT prompted my fallen human will to agree with God's call?
Why does ANY human will DESIRE to repent ?
Biblical repentance is COUNTER intuitive and fits nowhere in the rebellious nature of self seeking mankind.
Clearly God chose Israel and clearly God chose Marry and Clearly Jesus chose the 12 apostles as well as those whom He healed.
Again, God chooses a blessed few because fallen "self will" always leads to rejecting Christ.

God also chose to die on the cross that none should perish.
The Holy Spirit draws men through the word of God; we are taught, we hear and we learn.
And Jesus is the word
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

scott, Why did God choose Israel? There's a reason. God didn't force Abraham to take Isaac up that mountain. But when God saw Abraham ready to kill his son, he stopped him, cuz then he knew that Abraham truly loved & trusted him.
Genesis 22:12 And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

OK, but these verses are simply proclaiming man's "awareness " of both creation and evil
But again, human awareness has nothing to do with the casual ABILITY to freely choose God
Romans 8:7 "...the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."
Remember, fallen man LOVES darkness and thus
cannot sincerely repent via his own natural will as it is OPPOSED to God by nature.
The question is WHY does ANYONE believe ?

Election is NOT a preclusion to believe or some divine "restriction."
All men have the same fallen nature so WHY do billions more REJECT the Gospel ?
Are those who repent somehow less evil or perhaps smarter than those who reject salvation ?
Of course not, but rather its a divine grace that shows CHOSEN people their sin prodding them to fearfully repent.

Who does God wish to be saved? Its no secret
Back to freewill...

The decision to cover them, was Yah's alone.
valambiguous 2 years ago
Calvins false doctrine denies freewill and makes men puppets.
It places salvation squarely in the hands of God. Denies any initiation of salvation to be by the efforts of men.
Claims the evangelical universal offers of salvation are false.
Twists the altar call from soul winning to preachers head counting.
Calvin rewriting the Bible in the margins end result is unholy and encourages men to drift into hell.
What spirit is this?

John 6:45 reveals how God draws men unto Himself. "It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught of God.' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me." Note the words "taught" and "every man" (all drawn the same way; by being taught) and "hear" and "learn" and "come". They are common, everyday words which are used to describe how it is that people are drawn to Christ.
Its important that man learn sound doctrine NOT Calvins doctrine.

Only Adam had unbound free will and ruined it.

Terri3210 2 years ago
right on Terri. Freewill is from the Old to the New Testaments. We have power over our own freewill the bible says.
Without freewill, no one could repent. It would be God doing the repenting, not us.
Rachella38 2 years ago 2
Amen Rachella38 and without freewill there would be no need for hell... all men would auto worship God being made puppets from the foundations of the earth.....
If God did not make men with freewill... God being loving would then make us to auto worship Him rather than make any exclusive for hell.
How can I say that?
He displayed His love for all men on the cross.
Conclusion this life is merely a test of mens hearts.

This is a horrible reality of the human sin condition.

2 Corinthians 4:4 satan is the god of this world.

What if Calvinism is true.....what if its false?
Let's put it this way....
I know which I'd rather be true.....
gangiangie 2 years ago 5
"If Calvinism is true, ... I wish we could change God's mind over who is going to burn alive for eternity..."
In which case one wonders whether you are really willing to submit to his sovereign will. I'm fully aware that God will put many people I know and love in hell, but if God opts to pass them by, that's His business. Who am I to complain, when it's by grace that I wasn't passed by?
mothcorrupteth 2 years ago
"If Calvinism is wrong......then PRAISE GOD..."
If Calvinism is wrong, then what praise is there for God? If Calvinism is wrong, the glory is yours for being good enough in your will to choose God, and when the damned get chucked into the pit, you have reason to sit in smug satisfaction that you weren't so foolish. You have reason to boast. And you have no reason to feel any confidence that God's kingdom cannot be shaken -- if it is by a free will, then what is to stop a second Fall?
mothcorrupteth 2 years ago
I personally think that's the unspoken Achilles heel of modern Arminian theology. The Calvinist can say, "There will never be a second Fall because God has the sovereign control to prevent it." He can say with certainty that the prophecies in Rev. 22 are a certain hope.
The Arminian can't. Adam and Eve fell by their free will, their descendents are saved by their free will, and there's nothing to stop us all from falling again when we all get to heaven. What a day of anxiety that will be.
mothcorrupteth 2 years ago
"one wonders whether you are really willing to submit to his sovereign will"
Erm, of course I am willing to submit to my Father...whether I understand or agree with Him or not has NOTHING to do with it!! He is the Potter and I am just clay, who am I to argue!! But, you've completely missed my point!
"if God opts to pass them by, that's His business"
Sorry but this is EXACTLY my point about calvinism......its SICK!! You don't CARE just as long as ur in the lifeboat, huh? Show some compassion.
gangiangie 2 years ago 4
"You don't CARE just as long as ur in the lifeboat, huh?"
Let me use an illustration. My fiancee had a seizure Saturday, and she's in the hospital right now. I know that she's got so many medical problems that she's probably going to die before I do. And if she died today, I'd be very grieved. But I would not question God about it, not only because I trust Him, but also because I don't have a right to. He made the air that I breathe, and I'm not entitled to it. That He gives it anyway...
