Cool video. I think the new BSG breaks though many bararcades that are in most sci fi or space set shows. The people seem real, the story line makes sense for the most part and there is a running drama to connect each episode. Add a great score, special effects that rival Hollywoods best, and a great cast and finally, there is a space show I can watch with my wife (she loved it). I thought the show was pretty dark at times for a TV show, but that is one of many things that made it great.
I agree mate, I used to watch it on my own when a special moment happened in my life when my girlfriend didn't know weather to watch Sex and the city or BSG, I nearl fell over! ;)
@mediodia00 In 78, it was a bit of a Star Wars knockoff, though still very different. But the new BSG is about as different from Star Wars as a space drama can get. Totally different.
RDM also joking say recently that they brought a ship full of potatoes from New Caprica and they "destiled" all of them into booze before the algae issue..
OMG I can't believe they edited this to remove the close up of #6's fully clothed breasts. Lame. Still, I need this version to embed, so thanks for posting.
are you honestly even arguing this? Thats quite possibly even dumber than Mega Man vs Samus and all those other awful mashups. (plus samus would totally kick megaman's ass)
Gods that would be a massacre... nBSG Cylons for teh win. Apart from raider swarms which would overwhelm the RTFF, Neo-Centurions would shred to ribbons anyone they came across. And that's not factoring in the Cylon red-eye hacking ability.
I like the anti-climax at the end:
"So much better than the one with Lonre Greene - NO ONE BELIEVES THAT!"
And that's my opinion as well.

@mediodia00 the original battlestar galactica is a rip off from star wars. Glen Larson was known for ripping off movies for some of his shows

One thing I wish they would answer on the show: Where do they keep getting all the booze from?
Tigh and Adama get totally blasted every other episode. Someone has to have a still somewhere.
NoleMan007 3 years ago 3
Its the chief. Him and his deck gang brew it. Tigh shares a few with the XO from "The Beast" 1st time we see it

the new BSG would win. In real life laser don't blow stuff up like on TV and in the movies. Bullets and nukes would be alot more damaging.

Yeah like everyone knows samus would win cuz like samus has like a spaship and no crappy japanese t.v series.

Oh yeah, and Boxey had one of the greatest lines in the new series:
Saul Tigh: Where's your mother?
Boxey: Dead. Where's yours?
mahabreta 3 years ago 2
to show what a major nerd I am, that was actually a line from the old show.
caeser5786 3 years ago 2
I don't know if it's in the old one too, but it's definitely in the new miniseries. *Also geek* x)
MajorDrakkus 3 years ago
Actually, I think the line was in "33" or "Water", not the mini.
lind15213 3 years ago
Whoops, we both fail. x) It was 03: Bastille Day. Great line, either way.
MajorDrakkus 3 years ago
I love your bluish glow and your drunk XO..
I *love* that you brought back ole Richard Hatch...
... as a morally questionable character!
Been REALLY impressed with him in the new series.
