The journalist lied. I am not sure it is his fault, because Ethiopia's government pays a lot of money to PR firms who then pay some of this money to different medias. The boss of this journalist then probably told little junior here to go and do a "story" in Ethiopia which was staged by Ethiopia's govt. Why all this? Because Ethiopia - darling aid-baby of the west wants to make its defiance of the international verdict on the border war, look good and humanitarian ROFL.

Tigray has been resettling people from all over their poor and destitute province in areas that did not belong to them since 1994. People of Wello, Gonder and the Afars know what I mean. Eritreans too since 1998. The Irob are no different.

I wonder how much Ethiopia is paying for PR like this...1.This village is not even in disputed territory. 2. What Eritrea DOES claim is over 1000 Kms away from the Irob land in a place called BADME which is being illegally occupied by Ethiopian military. Why did the journalist not go there? Tens of thousands of Eritreans are living in camps in their own country because Ethiopia evicted them from their land in and around Badme, why did the journalist not visit them?

There is no such thing as "Ethiopian Saho"! The Ethiopians who speak Saho are Tegarus who have adopted the language and culture (to some extent)...Saho people are Eritrean period.
