beautiful version of that song. thanks for the perfect moments. cash could not have played it any better, in fact I like your version better. although I love cash more than any other musik. could you sing other cash songs as well, like hurt or others from the american recordings. please do !
I have to tell you - you have a memorable voice. Which is not just a matter of clarity, a good sense of pitch and a professional delivery. A lot of folks have that. But your voice could have universal appeal. Put that together with the way you handle a guitar and you could make that voice known. Shake your head at me, but your voice has qualities that remind me of Bruce Springsteen if he were to sing folk. Shake your head at me, but don't say you weren't told.
@bmayes01 Thanks for the kind words. I'm not totally proud of this version. Cut it late at night and was worried about waking up my kids so I held back big time. Just the only free time I get to do my thing... Not much a fan of Bruce so it's a funny comparison... but thanks for the kind words...
@fulltruck Understood. It wasn't my first thought. I could have said, your guitar work reminds me of Gordon Lightfoot and your smooth vocals remind me of several country singers. But bottom line, if you weren't a family man, and if you could get a Nashville promoter to back you, just in terms of voice and musicality, you could have a career in country or folk music. I have no doubt.
Regardless, your song made my evening, and I thank you.
amazing. a little polished..i can forgive that though.
