  • i was drunk yesterday and i almost started 2 fights in the malls bathroom i guess alcohol does bring the worst out of people because im not a violent person

  • So what about when Jesus drank wine? Oh that's right your going to say that wasn't alcohol right? But shouldn't we take the Bible as it is? If it says wine the it contains alcohol not matter how little or how much? if not it would say something other.

The Bible tells us "Let all your moderation be known"

Is this video saying if you drink your not saved or won't go to heaven? Even if Jesus says in the Bible that the "last cup" will drunk in Glory?

  • @MrTimbojames Well take the Bible as it is, yes, I agree, but also "study to shew yourself approved..." 2nd Timothy 2:15. It is good to go back to the greek and see exactly what the Holy Spirit put in Paul for us (the Body of Christ). So on that not Jesus did not drink alcohol. I can say that without a doubt only because I have studied this subject in depth. There is no word for grap juice in the greek correlating with wine. Therefore when Jesus said the last cup he was talking about ....

  • @MrTimbojames the fruit of the vine, which is NON-ALCOHOLIC. In conclusion to your comment I would like to interlude one more point. Just because people do drink (alcohol) does not mean they go to Hell. Although this is definately true, it is definately good to spread the good news. This would be that we no longer need alcohol because we have the HOLY SPIRIT. This is important to spread because people (God's people) perish for lack of knowledge Hosea 4:6. Have a good day and God Bless.

  • Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.

    1 tim 5:23

  • ya the sweet wine plato said that neither intoxicates the body or inflame the mind....you have a history context condition

  • @abseconPC Yes but it assumes that Timothy doesn't drink in the first place and that alcohol is for used for medication.

  • I understand wha this guy is saying. But I disagree that its the devil. Yes it can be abused to the point of devilish activities, however its a great anxiety reliever. Getting drunk I agree is not what God wants us to do. But I seriously doubt God Gives to squirts about a drink or 2 for relaxation.

  • 1 drink can make an alcoholic......examine kids today. Pro 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. Pro 23:31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright. NOW READ THE REST OF THAT PROVERB ...IT LEADS TO ADDICTION......

  • @rmv0511 lol...i guess a little pornography is ok too...and a little drugs...and a little murder...and a little theft...ha ha...you are funny...come on...you don't really believe what you just said...???let me know, cause that was one of the funniest comments i have seen in a while :)...lol

  • @MQuillin1 Uh, there is no reason to assume that any of those others things you mention are allowed in any amount through scripture. What an awful analogy.

    "so their is a balance"

and that is the worthiest point you've made anywhere in these threads. It's the only correct one I see, at least.

  • @brenwilliams You shouldn't assume anything...you should study...and it is a great thing that you commented, so thanks for this, but that was sarcasm that I was using, I thought maybe it was obvious, but apparently not, so I will explain. Wine was used back in the day for parties, and medicine, now we don't need it through the operation of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and wine was not allowed in the temple :)...look it up, Aaronic priests were not allowed

  • @MQuillin1 I'm not assumign anything. I was referring to your (wrongful) assumption that those things are comparable.

As I said in the other thread (in which I responded to you before doing so here), wine was allowed in the temple (see 1 Chron 9:29). What I think you're arguing is that priests couldn't drink prior to entering. But as I ask repeatedly in that thread, if that rule applies to us as we are now priests, why do not all the others?

  • @brenwilliams to drink in the temple...we are now the temple ( read Mark 15 (the temple was no longer needed), 1st Peter 5 (we are the temple) and Proverbs 1 and Revelation 1 coupled together PROVE the rest)...and as for the comment

"and that is the worthiest point you've made anywhere in these THREADS"

lol...don't try to prove you are right through your arrogant and dogmatic expressions of which have no shred of scripture. If you have something to say, then back it up with the Word of God

  • @MQuillin1 Sorry, I missed this. Here you make the point re: priests drinking.

Anyway, as I also said in that thread many times, taking literaly a figurative terming of Christians as kings/priests/temples, applying only one rule re: kings/priests/temples and not the hoard of others, and in doing so contradicting other parts of scriputre- doesn't prove anything.

  • @brenwilliams not with your wild and comical idea of a comment. I commented to inform, not to tear down, and your comment looks to be made for the latter reason. Tell me why anyone would listen to you without proof.......(yes this was how much proof you had located in between those dots). I gave you proof, but if you want more...ask God, and then LISTEN...that is all I will ask you to do...and until you study, and then ask Him...do not comment me...I will know if you did this, because....

  • @MQuillin1 Aside from you taking this far too personally, I notice that you spend a great deal of time criticizing other people's posts, tones, etc., while also praising the supposed innocence of your own. But until I see any tangible difference between your own style of poisting and that of others, I'm going to have to keep dismissing these as a mere attempts to get away from the topic at hand.

I gave you my arguments (aka proof) in the other thread, and youknow it.

  • @brenwilliams you will not comment with a defensive tone in your posts. Thank you for the info, but not thanks. Let me know also (after you spend some time with God :) ) what happened when Jesus died. I will give you a hint, Galatians 3, this gives you a picture of what happened (along with the rest of the Bible. Just as the curse of the law went away with the, now available, salvation we have obtained. So things have changed, including alcohol's acceptance (which we don't need).

  • @MQuillin1 In other words, once I accept your argument, then you'll know that I have studied? Sorry.

And people never "needed" alcohol, at least in the intoxicating (as opposed to medicinal or water-purifying) sense. Thus I fail to see how alcohol is ipso facto included in the great change that Jesus ushered in. I do of course understand your argument as to why that's the case, but as I stated elsewhere, the argument doesn't work.

  • @brenwilliams So, thank you again for you comment, but next time solve the puzzle of why you are commenting in such a quizzical fashion. There is enough argumentation floating around for the whole world to gag on. Why not take what my comment says to God, and see what He has to say. I know for a fact that is what I did for your comments. If you are going to comment, please don't think that everything you say is right. Then and only then will you be able to learn what the truth really is.

  • @MQuillin1 Here's yet another example of you taking this much too personally. My comments are quizzical; yours are non-argumentative and innocent. I always think I'm right; you don't.

Please stop trying to detract from the issue at hand with constant critiques of other posters' arguments and styles, especially as that there is nothing any different about your own posts or style.

  • @brenwilliams Much Love from above (and no hard feelings, no matter what may have been said)...take it to the throne room (if you want, cause it is your choice), and then find me...talk to you later, peace and joy

    JF

  • @MQuillin1

No hard feelings at all. Though I must say I'm worried that you are getting too offended here, which you really shouldn't. Debating the intricacies of God's word is a noble venture.

    Godd bless!

  • @brenwilliams well bren i appreciate the comments, but no i am definitely not offended, and I enjoy commenting. I must say though, the Body of Christ is supposed to be of one mind 2 Corinthians 13:11...and the amount of people that give me this argument is off the charts...lol...so no hard feelings at all, i would almost say i was getting the same vibe from you...so yeah dude, its not worth the arguing, but I am just trying to get people to think...but i hope u have a blessed day in God

  • @MQuillin1 I appreciate your comments, as well. I'm Glad you are not offended; the same here..

2 Cor. 13:11 is right- the Body is supposed to be of one mind. So perhaps there is a reason you get these arguments, so often? As I suggested earlier, we should not shy away from talking scripture. While we are saved in Christ, scriptural discussion does nothing less than good.

And you are likely getting the same/simiarl vibe from me. That was actually my point. God bless you, too!

  • Tongues is for today also...and someone who don't believe it is not from God

  • YOU ARE DECEIVED.......1Co 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF, TALKING ABOUT WHAT YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT......WE WERENT BORN YESTERDAY........

  • @DocumentaryGuy well actually God is not respecter of persons he is for everybody...but Jude 20 states that you must build yourself up on your most Holy faith speaking in tongues, Be ye holy for I am holy 1st Peter 1:16... and without faith it is impossible to please God Hebrews 11:6, and everyone filled with the Holy Spirit had the EVIDENCE of speaking with tongues Acts 2...so this is whats going on now...but i don't agree with what he said, "those who don't believe it are not from God," cause

  • @DocumentaryGuy thats not true...so their is a balance, we are not to judge, but 2nd Timothy 2:15 means to study...we all need to...so its all good...but anywho, i love yall, and remember John 17:3...To Know Him..that is the main thing, everything else will fall in place John 13...Goodnight

  • good word! I am studying wine in the bible, this vid was very helpful. also did you know that in Titus 2:2 the word temperate greek=nephaleous means one who does not drink wine. Jesus did not turn water into wine. he turned water into grape juice or unfermented wine. it does not say grape juice in the bible because there is NO greek word for grape juice. in the original greek text everything from the vine was called wine. anyone who thinks jesus turned water into alcohol is accusing jesus of sin

  • Amen, I believe that!

  • do you believe in praying in tongues?

  • I don't believe in praying in tongues. Tongues had a purpose and that purpose was over in 70 AD. when Titus the Roman Emperor went into Israel and conquered the Jews and they no longer were a nation... it was fulfilling the prophecies in Isa. 28:11 - 29... with men of another lip (tongue) I will speak to this people (the Jews) about the coming judgement on them for rejecting the Messiah... check out my other videos on the signs and wonders video's for the whole story on the tongues issue.

  • Well, you're wrong there. Jesus made actually wine, like the Bible says. And it actually does say grape juice elsewhere in the Bible (see Numbers 6).

On the other hand, perhaps there was no greek word for grape juice because it rarely existed back then for consumption purposes.

We're not accusing Jesus of sin. You, on the other hand, are adding to God's word when you attempt create a sin. And doing so is, without a doubt, a sin.

  • why do you drink?

  • AMEN

  • @garcijas amen dude...thank you..i really appreciate this...i need this fo shizzle
