  • I want this video on my L3100 unit.

  • All what the "The nVidia Fanboys" say is crap.

Guys what are you talking about?

The 5970 is a dual GPU-Card and is better much better then a 580 GTX and a 6870x2.

Also 480 GTX is to hot and is to loud.

This Card is the basdest Card from the GTX serial.

  • Putsss ATI bateu na Gforce afffff

  • Comment removed

  • ATI hd 5000 series is fail on tessellation!!! so its fail in DX11 so fuck this 5000 series the 6000 series is good but the 500 series of nvidia is a lot better

  • Two things i want to see in future Graphics cards... one Better cooling for ATI and that there not upside down i WANA SEE THE PRITTY SIDE lol

  • Considering Crysis is made for nVidia cards and it seems to dislike crossfire/SLI... I'd say the 5970 did surprisingly well!

  • Okay, I wanna know why my 5970 black edition flickers while playing crysis and the benchmark..

  • nerdgasim.

  • Why are you testing an overclocked Radeon against a standard clocked GeForce?

  • 4 years later..... and graphic cards still can't play this game at 60 fps......!!!!!!

  • @coolflame18 Becouse of the Trees

  • @coolflame18 That's nothing, really.

Even a crappy looking RTS (Real Time Strategy) can kill your CPU & GPU even after 10 years.

All it has to do is to spam particles and units and misc. objects onto your screen.

I've got a lot of respect for Half-Life 2, because it was still good looking even after 4 years, even though it didn't require a killer-PC at launch (unlike Crysis)

  • @Nolonar thats an interesting comment. Can you give a name a 10 year old game (of any kind). That I can't play at full quality today on even an average pc?

  • @coolflame18

You may try Age of Mythology's map editor and create lots of Phoenixes on the same spot until your rig starts sweating.

You may also try Rise of Nations' map editor and spam any unit you want (preferably the ones that look like they're more taxing)

You may spend hours until your FPS rate drops below 30, but it is possible.

Alternatively you may play WoW, go somewhere with lots of high-lvl people and their high-lvl equips (although WoW isn't quite 10 yet)

  • @Nolonar thats a cpu bottleneck. not a gpu test.

  • @XHighWarlordGigglesX You may be correct, but I think it depends on the game too.

Sure, your CPU will have trouble managing all those units, but if those units have lots of particles attached to them (like smoke), your GPU might run into troubles as well.

Also, the more units you have, the more taxing shadow casting will be.

The thing is: games nowadays try to skip rendering process (you don't need to render what you don't see), something that older games probably lack.

  • @XHighWarlordGigglesX But in the end, my point was to say: Just because an "old" game is ressource hungry, it doesn't mean it is any impressive.

For example, I've once written a program that draws a little landscape (with a mountain, trees and water). It looks like crap compared to Crysis, it doesn't have any animated objects nor particles and it barely runs with 50 FPS, even though my PC can run Crysis 1 maxed out in FullHD with no less than 40 FPS.

  • no pueden comparar una placa de un solo nucleo con una de doble nucleo, hay que ser pelotudo,.

Por que no la comparan con la Geforce GTX 295? apuesto a que le pasa el trapo como un pedazo de sorete

  • @seba0021Taringa sorry... none of us speak Burrito.

  • @gooby90 CHUPAME LA PIJA, PELOTUDO

    "SUCK MY COCK, FUCKING ASSHOLE"

  • this game is unoptimized as shit!! why not test another newer game like Bad company 2?

  • @LOLMAN22 Bad Company 2 takes less performance to run, both graphics cards would be capped at 60 FPS with vsync on so there wouldn't be any competition.

  • you are comparing a duel gpu card agenst a single gpu card you sicken me

  • your intro is so cool! With wich programm you make it?

  • What happens? in this video GTX480 consume ~620W, but in your video

(GTX 580 vs GTX 480 Crysis Benchmark)

GTX480 consumes already ~470W. Miracles of progress or how?

  • HD 5970 is DUAL GPU compare it vs 2 GTX 480's then its fair

  • @JeemOfRunescape stop crying like a stupid bitch.. single card is single card. GTFO with your excuses.

  • @JeemOfRunescape exactly i find it funny how all the amd fans compare their dual gpus to nvidia single gpu and they get 10fps more and they think its a victory. Now dont get me wrong if amd did make a single gpu card that was powerful enough to be the best single gpu then i would definitely pat them on the back cause thats something theyve never done or at least not done in a loooooong time

  • and why all you vids the HD5970 is best?

    GTX 295 taking 30-45 fps and here the GTX 480 taking 30 - 40 -.-

  • @capatais777 : its called " immature Drivers"...

  • @trubritar :D

  • @capatais777

GTX295 is also multi GPU while GTX480 is single.

  • @capatais777 ati radeon cards always running without physicengine like nvidia cards.

you can change nvidia settings so that the physics are off and on so if you would turn it off then it would be a fair battle! ;)

  • ati broken fast idiot card

  • And all soo nvidia cards consume more power, people love them just because they got physx.

  • I think there was something wrong with this 480 because my 460 gets about 1-2 fps less in this test :\ 1080 res max settings. hmm well anyways i think the 480 (besides this test) does quite well as single gpu as no single gpu card (from ati) can beat it.

  • @decimat777 youe peace of shit 460 is probly doing dx 9 and the 480 doing dx 10 with tessalation. and yes dx10 has tes.

  • @mrshzzit1 no its doing dx10 and actually the gtx 460 is very good bang for buck card, i got my second one a few months ago and its even better.

  • @mrshzzit1 dx10 has instanced tessellation and i have 2 460's which beat that 480 by quite a few frames since i have a mobo with extremely high bandwidth. and its not very respectful to call someone elses hardware shit. I think you need to spell check before you reply as well. My card was doing dx10 at the time. I realized later on that his specs overall were less than mine so that was another benefit to my card because my system only has 3% bottleneck(tests..) where a normal computer has 30-40%

  • LOL!! this is FAKE, The GTX 480 is #2 and HD 5970 is on #14 in the list of high end graphics card benchmark..

By the way GTX 580 is the number one on the list..This video is fail

  • dude^^ you can't compare this two graphic cards :P

    5970 is a dual-core gpu.... gtx 580 is a single-core

you should make gtx 580 sli vs HD 5970 ;)

  • @lorin1996 Don't believe him,The GTX 480 is #2 and HD 5970 is on #14 in the list of high end graphics card benchmark..

GTX 580 is the number one on the list

  • it's obvious that 5970 gonna win this, crossfire is enabled so they're using 2 radeon cards vs 1 of gtx 480.. no fair

  • what were the game settings?

  • Why is crysis still so hard to run!! Considering crysis is almost 5 years old now and a dual gpu card that costs like 800 dollars cannot run it at a constant 60 fps

  • gtx 480 350€

    HD 5970 600€

hm....lol of course i take the 480...600€ for a new card -.- STUPID

  • HAHA!! take that nvidia!!

  • I like the ATI because its more performance by lower price.

  • @Therafaelcoleto But 5970 is 800bux

  • @dammpe2 yeah, that's right. :/

  • @Therafaelcoleto WRONG! HD 5970 is only 300$ or so now. GTX 480 is basically the same price, who wins? HD 5970 of course, way better performance and still #1.

  • @dammpe2 and full of shitty driver problems. I use to own one and im glad I moved to 2 580s because not only can I run benchmarks, I can play games!

  • My benchmark is 39FPS on everything max except detail, which is set on high.

  • 3D will be satisfying in about 3 years. Just like xFire/sli was shit when it first came out, now xfire's more efficient + powerful with the 6000 series.

  • Is This rig worth 1250Dollars? Corsair OBsidian 800D Corsair AAX 1200W Asus rampage 3 extreme intel core i7 950 corsair 12gb 1600mhz XMS3´ intel 80GB SSD 500GB samsung 500GB WESTERN 5970 Black edition 2GB with cooler Corsair G50 Nzxt sentry LX and a 26"monitor from ASus he has builded it from 28K
  • @cpunge001 Yes. Probably more if that's all included.

  • ATI IS ALWAYS THE BEST WHEN IT COME TO GAMIING THUMBS UP!!!

CHECH THIS OUT>>>> msi GX640 MAXED SETTINGS 70FPS:)

  • @pogi2st haha never go have a card taking 70 fps on crysis maxed limit

  • Nvidia for life on every single GPU card from Nvidia comes 1 dual GPu card from AMD :D AMD sucks!!!!

  • Well, its true that the 5970 is the fastest graphic card in the planet right now, but its has 2 GPUs (bi-GPU) , so ....

The GTX 580 has only 1 GPU, its mono-GPU, and there is no single mono-GPU ATI card can beat her, so Nvidia WINs ...

  • @houari2009 Don't you think if they can put another Gpu they have already did that?? When they figurate how to put then yes Nvidea will crush Ati... but intil then Ati is better... I don't understand why this fight with defenders of Nvidea and Ati, does not metter, what metter is in wich card is better in this time, will always comes better sometime Ati other Nvidea.

  • cpu 4.4 ghz? thats great!

  • Ati Radeon HD 5970 actually, the fastest graphic card in the world: 4 GB DDR5, supports 6 displays (HDMI) until , proccesor speed 4.8 teraflops..... F***** Goooooooooood! Nvidia sucks!

  • Why don't u try comparing the GTX 480Sc vs ATI Radeon 4GB HD5970 OC from sapphire.

  • Ati RULZ!!!

  • This is stupid, gtx 480 is a single gpu card, 5970 is a dual gpu card.

  • @OCE4500

You're right, and this really isn't fair,

    But look at the temps

the dual GPU 5970 is still running cooler than the 480- wtf?

  • @OCE4500

Well, ATI has most powerful graphics card anyway. Deal with it

  • Comment removed

  • @nikoeng4 lol then why did gtx 480 cost nearly same price as 5970? and clearly 5970 is about 30% faster then 480 in gaming, mabye not in tenssilation. i can still remember gtx 480 cost about £460 pounds and 5970 about £480-500. and from looking at price point of view gtx 480 was a fail compared to 5970. anyhow hardly any games currently uses tensilation, except metro 2033 name me any game which uses it. bet you wont have many in ur head lol if you dont use cuda cores then ati always the no1.

  • @helloshayan

i agreed that gtx480 set at the bad price ,heat and slow than 5970

and that's why fail compare~idiot also will know that gtx480,470 fail product

    but now days

The most important factor, beyond framerates, is the visual quality and experience returned by the product. The GeForce GTX 580 allows a more immersive, smoother, and consistent quality of gameplay

a evga nvidia gtx580 FTW hydro copper2 will knock the pants off anything out there

  • Comment removed

  • NVIDIA should stop working on "exclusive features" (like physX) and work more on their GPU

  • If nvidia releases a fermi graphics card including two cores, it'll definently beat a 5970 in any modern dx 11 game if my facts are right.

  • @george3dmax yes but it will cost twice as much:P

you do know 5970 is only $20 more then gtx 580.

  • @george3dmax yes but it will cost twice as much,

you do know hd 5970 only cost $20 more then gtx 480 :P and gives about 30% more perfomance.

  • watch?v=1SH61p1r50Y

  • Ati= better performance, lower price. Nvidia = lower performance, higher price, better technology. I personally, i would buy the latest Nvidia cards, even though, the Ati is way cheaper. But we all know the Nvidia cards got better technology(cuda, physx, etc).just my opinion....dont try to eat my head guys!Cheers.

  • outstanding review bro with custom music good job buddyz ...............

  • does anyone know if the ATI HD 5970 is still the best graphic card out there? i got one now, really consider buying one more and add the i7 980x to it

  • @SiIXEN037 im pretty sure the 6990 will beat it

  • @SiIXEN037 yes it is still the fastest card out there...this is a list of all graphic cards if u want to chek it for yourself pc-erfahrung.de/grafikkarte/vga-grafikrangliste.html

  • I saw the 5970 In action it's the best graphic card I have ever seen used in front of my eye's no lag super fast turns with incredable smoothness.

I will buy one when the price comes down.

  • @Dorisequador Price is down.

  • @Zemadclover Ya and now dicontinued wow man I was so upset I want the XFX version with the GPU's far apart for less heat issues.

  • still the hd 5970 is the if the best

when hd 6970 come's out still the hd 5970 then it in some part's

  • i dont think ati is great,my ati hd mobil. 5470 runs 3dmark 06 at first graphic test only at 6 ~8 FPS but NVidia 8600 GT have 20~25 FPS at the graphic test. (I,m not Nvidia fanboy)

  • @WarBenifit156 you ate realy asking this ?

  • my card got spanked :(

  • even though 5970 won, i still like nvidea fermi cause it has directx 11 and physx...till ati gets something better, then i will still love fermi (the ati multiple screen doesn't matter to me)

  • @NvideaMan808 Umm.. Dude you do know the HD 5000 series all support Directx11 right? And the only reason Physx isn't on Ati cards is because Nvidia bought it and got mad that all the ATi cards ran it better than the Nvidia cards so they blocked ATi.

  • @Zemadclover ya i already knew that it ati had Dx11

  • dual gpu hd 5970 has min. fps: 18

single gpu gtx 460 1gb has min. fps: 22

    with the same settings

  • nvidia just got owned

  • 5970 is huge

  • I need a card for my FSX witch one it's better??? I got i7 920 3.8, 12GB RAM

  • @WarBenifit156 gay hd 6850 kills the gtx 460

  • @WarBenifit156 sounds great but go with ati next time

  • How abot my spece?? How do you think Crysis will run on my pc? Here's the

    specs.

    CPU:Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 930 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GTz

    Memory: 2GBX3 Kingston HyperX ddr3 1600mhz

    GPU: Asus Nvidia 260GTX 896MB GDDR3

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit English

Hard Drive: WD Caviar Black 1TB 64MB

    Please Reply!!!

  • @alan5ive5133 everybody with these questions should check out reviews of their graphics card and see how it performs in games...

  • @alan5ive5133 you should definitely buy more Ram...

  • i want them both...crossfired in SLI :D

  • do they give the same graphics?

  • why nvidia cards eat so much energy? its because of cuda, PhysX and those things?

  • @WarBenifit156 you can have grenades going off all at once and it will run fine

  • Alienware M17x R2: 740QM Quad Core Standard SATA 250GB CrossfireX ATI Mobility 5870 1920 X 1200 display --Crysis max setting except no anti-aliasting. 1920 X 1200, avg 30fps --Metro 2033, max setting 1920 X 1200, avg 18 fps high setting 1620 X 1200, avg 28 fps --Just Cause 2 max, avg 40 fps --Call of Duty Black ops, max, 35 fps ?!?!? --Arma 2, high setting 1920 X 1200, avg 22 fps ?!?!?!
  • From my knowledge gtx 480 supports 3D while 5970 doesn't. Am I right?

  • @weilwen And? nVidia = selfish shit...

  • @weilwen nope Ati has finaly release 3D support and not only for 6000 series the 5000 ,4000 and 3000 series are also supported + only gtx 275 + support nvidia 3d vison and you need a special kit for this wich cost 250 $ ....why u should buy a 250 $ video card + another 250 $ for 3D when you can buy a decent 5000 ati series card with only 200 $ and you get 3D ( about the monitor ...well...xD)

  • @TheGrandTheftshit lol who says u cant do normal 3d on nvidia ? lol first infororm ur self it has liek 10 modes all difrent 3D red-blue example

  • @000CODE000 First and foremost, 3D is far from finished, even if it has support on both ATI and NVIDIA. Furthermore, 3D is very relative, and is a bit negligible on monitors nowadays, unless you can do it on a full HD tv. I tested it myself with the free Track Mania Nations, and really it isn't that great anyway. By the way, there are very, very less computers that can really turn 3D properly, even if you use Crossfire between 2 HD's 5970's.

  • @TheGrandTheftshit fuck, i wanna try watching porn in HD and 3D

  • @weilwen no

  • @weilwen who the fuck cares about 3d, personally i dont fucking care, im not a nerd and sheesh, who needs 3d with a big ass monitor?

  • @Nikk500 kool story bro

  • @weilwen yeah dont try to say that i am not right

  • @weilwen 3d sucks

  • @weilwen no radeon HD 4000+ supports 3D

  • @weilwen

    Yep. What's your point?

I think ATi cards are branching into 3D soon too.

  • @weilwen who fuck does game with 3d anywhay? ive buyed Nvidia 3d vision about 1 week ago! im so fucking disapointed.

  • @weilwen Who gives a shit about 3D, it just hurts your eyes and gives you headaches -.-

  • should i get the Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition or wait fir the i7 990x?

  • @TheProjectrgx i7-980x

  • @WarBenifit156 VERY VERY smoothley , I have same videocard and processor :D

  • GTX 480 SLI or 5970 XFIRE?

  • @mugen1235 5970 does not crossfire well. When you add an extra gpu the scaling gets worse and two 5970's is 4 gpus. That fourth gpu is only worth about 4 or 5 frames I believe the third slightly more but insignificant

  • @jimjamgumbob So not even 480 SLI is worth it?

  • @mugen1237 you see a 5970 is already two crossfired GPUs in a single card which means two of them do not scale well while the 480 is a weaker card but it's only a single gpu so it scales considerably better. Basically if you have 1000 euro/dollars/pounds to blow 2 480's is a better investment than 2 5970s. You can also wait for the 6990 which will probably be better again

  • @jimjamgumbob Yeah, plus Nvidia has PhysX, Cuda, and 3D right? Also, how much do you think the 6990 will be? I know the 6870's are out but they're nothing compared to the 480's are they?

  • @mugen1237 If I had to guess...A little more than a 580. They're more powerful but like you said Nvidia has things like Cuda and PhysX which may or may not be useful depending on your needs

  • @mugen1235 wait for the amd 6990 it faster then the 5970 in crossfirex

  • @TheProjectrgx It's probably going to be $1,000 I bet. Just like the Asus Ares.

  • @WarBenifit156 yeh man just buy tyhte game give it a try. cost wat like £5

  • @WarBenifit156 it will run great, but i rkn u shud overlock ur cpu to about 3.6/3.6, i have almost the same set up, Just get a cpu cooler for abt 40 bucks and u shud be set

  • Comment removed

  • @eltiernit0 nah, no 1 cares about ur crying. just give it up... 2 year old hd 5970 still owns all. dont cry.

  • How would this handle Crysis?:

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition

    Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H, Socket-AM3

    Kingston ValueR. DDR3 1333MHz 8GB, CL9

    WD Caviar® Blue™ 1TB 3,5", SATA 3 Gb/s

    Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB SATA2

EVGA GeForce GTX 470 1280MB PhysX CUDA

    Windows Ultimate 7

  • @mymichellegunsnroses pretty good

  • I'm not a fanboy but i think i will always prefer ATI.

  • They came out with the 9970 already?

  • What the hell are Nvidia doing? AMD are penetrating Nvidia so hard it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. Ive seen reviews of thier 580GTX, it does run cooler than the 480 (thank god), but AMD do it so much easier. AMD are taking a massive steaming dump all over Nvidia.

  • Just give 4-6 months for the 6900 series, I expect alot from AMD. Nvidia's released stats of the GTX 580 are only about 15% better than a GTX 480. Considering a 5970 is about 25% better than a 480, that's pretty sad.

  • Lol, I like how Nvidia fanboys are all like "It's 2 gpu'svs one!" Well guess what, same price range, better temps, better performance, all this for what 100$ more? Go cry elsewhere.

  • Radeon is better

  • 25 Nvidia fans got mad

  • @WarBenifit156 in high settings not very high

  • @WarBenifit156 yes it will run on your PC

  • @WarBenifit156 depends on your display resolution and game settings.

  • Comment removed

  • @WarBenifit156 : It will run crysis extremely well

  • What a weasel you are, comparing dual gpu 5970 vs single 480,well sure atis card is faster but nvidia automatically won this competition cause it's unfair from the very start,Im sure this was mentioned earlier but whats the point of this video then,to humiliate nvidia technology?!

  • @H00dedFigure watch his other video: 5870 vs 480GTX

the 5870 still wipes out the NVIDIA-card
