  • yeah V10 power

  • i love montoya

  • 1 insect was hurt in the making of this video

  • Montoya is one of the most fearless racers in the history of F1! Ask Schumacher =P

  • Renaults star flyng and Willians run flyng, my godness

  • haha, bad start of michael, but very good lap for juan pablo

  • wow montoya passing 3 cars in eau rouge, ok fair enough 2 of them ended up crashing into each other but none the less, brave stuff

  • nojodaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa MONTOYAAAAAA PIENSAAAA Y VUELVE A LA F1 vale tu tienes pa mostrar mas mi llave. DIOS TE BENDIGA

  • YAYAYA montoya!

  • I did not see this as fast as the car uses the curse as much as Montoya

  • Lets do research to find who; if any has done thesame overtake at Eau rouge. I already had my doubts.

  • Yeh, Montoya was epic that day. He really schooled Pizzon...oh no, wait, no he didn't.

  • Spa is the best track of all time!

Kanye impressions aside, it is miles better than any track in asia, with the exception of suzuka

    Best 3 remaining tracks;

    1) Spa

    2) Monaco

    3) Suzuka

  • @ruckaisawesome356 I hate to break it to you but Monaco isn't really a track since its only set up for one weekend a year and then it gets taken down unlike other genuine all year circuits. It's not even that good these days either because the cars have outgrown it but it's still fun to see them go around Monaco it's like watching history unfold each time.

  • Thats crazy, did you see the run he got up eau rouge!!!!!!!! Gold! Miss the v10s

  • @beachab

i miss the V12!!! Ferrari what an incredible power and sound have it this engine!

  • Look at the stupid fly at 0:17 LOOOOL

  • the power of thaT BMW was amazing

  • 3 wide! ive never seen even 2 wide through there!

  • Fantastic bravery from Juan Pablo.

  • What was Montoya driving? A missile? Chasing the leader? Amazing

  • Hell Yeah! Montoya is like "GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY, I WANT TO LEAD THIS MOTHER FUCKER!!!"

  • Ferrari looks very nice in 2004

  • lol montoya is angry grrrrr

  • lol

  • please post someone my previous comment to the FIA

  • this is what f1 should be about v10 engines yes 19,000rpm yes 900+ yes not v8 enines and not 18,000rpm FIA let the road cars tackle the environment not f1 cars

  • Wow, Montoya was carrying so much more speed than the others!

  • at the start you can see the 2 Renault's. this reminds me of how fast they were back then.

  • how good was that!

  • monty holy shit! come back guy! )

  • Juan Pablo came wide and then the BAR of Sato was hit from behind.

  • holy shit!

  • Yeah, Montoya rocks!

  • the reason why montoya passed webber and alonso in eau rouge was because they had a bit of a collision and lost their front wings - thats why montoya seemed to just fly past them as they had less front downforce. . . . . . not taking anything away from montoya though, the guys has big bollocks

  • hey mate did you see the race? ._. both renaults were in front of the race at the first lap so montoya didn't pass alonso, it was a BAR, probably Sato.

Next time you should speak when you know what are you talking about .-.

  • @eraserblueblazer actually it was massa's sauber before eau rouge and button's bar and a minardi in eau rouge.... and barrichello's ferrari in the straight

  • @mclarenmty sry a jaguar not a minardi

  • @mclarenmty why was barrichello so slow?

  • @jianh1989 he lost his front wing in eau rouge....

  • i'm sorry, but montoya didn't pass alonso because alonso was 2nd. they were webber and sato

  • you're right - i was meant to say sato but for some reason i typed alonso! you are right though - it def aint a sauber or a minardi. my mistake

  • Comment removed

  • don't worry. great video. 5*

  • @eraserblueblazer dosent less downforce mean higher top speed lol... But I think they lost the wings then before eau rouge so they didnt get to go on the straight with full speed.

  • The red light on a left side of Ferrari's steering wheel indicates, that the engine in functioning in qualifying mode.

That's increases it's power in about 3% in comparison with the normal rev mode.

  • i miss these days, renault launch control, bmw engines, ferrari aerodynamics, just a great time in F1

  • BMW Power.

  • VERY risk from montoya! but for good he was lucky.

  • it was fun 2 watch him,...wasnt it?..Do u follow what he is doing now?

  • nascar or something.. i'm not interested in that.. and i'm not interested in forumla 1 anymore.. FIA has done to many wrong decisions during the last ten years.. it's just show yet. no real racing anymore.

  • he is doing well,..was a threat 4 the championship till 2 races ta go,...was interisting....glad he is here,...F1s loss is their gain...

  • The days that Renault had the best jump on the start!

  • Montoya is a really good driver, too bad that he got played out from F1 by the schumacher nut huggers :)

  • MONTOYA"S GOT BALLS

  • What is Montoya sitting on????? A rocket??

  • I can feel the powah !

  • people still lift at eau rouge looked like montoya wouldnt have lifted if he was in 1st place

  • 0:28 amazing, montoya rules

  • renault really knows how to build lc!!

  • check out my other video from the start of this race, start spa 2

  • Love the sound of the good old v10 engines!

  • spa is still fantastic circuit, but it´s not really a challenge anymore. No gravel trap at eau rouge, it´s now easily full throttle. Blanchimote as well used to be a challenge, but not anymore. And the new bus-stop is terrible, the old one was much better. And also in 2004 with the fastest cars and V10 it was quite special. I have to say, good old days

  • *blanchimont

  • Boring old days...the 2004 season was one of the most boring seasons ever!!!

The last 3 seasons by contrast - have been extremely exciting, which shows that F1 is not just about power!

It's the extreeme cornering speeds and the new ability to drive much closer behind each other for the much closer racing that we see now!........

  • ......And when its so damn close and the advantage changes several times as the season goes on, then we can not ask for much more!

Oh maybe a little cooler looking cars like early 90s maybe!

PS: Eau Rouge was flat out since late 90s! He lifts here because he is to close to the Mclaren, plus cold tyres!

The challenge of Eau Rouge and Blancimont has changed, so its now the one who can concentrate on taking the straightest line - while sustaining 5 g's - that "wins"!

  • anyone notice how they seemed to need to lift for eau rouge...? Man, those were the good days...

  • Montoya is a bloody nutcase!! Round the outside of Massa going into Eau Rouge, and then overtaking Webber and Sato in the middle of Eau Rouge!!

    Fantastic!

  • Montoya is the best !!!

  • Totally agreed. It even seems to be not real like a sort of video game .

Montoya is surely the most talented driver of the last ten years

  • 0:16 RIP... :(

  • I read that comment all "huh?" rewound and lol'd so much I spat my beer out!

  • montoya!

  • you said it great pass by Montoya, 2004 cars where the best now this years cars really sucks my interest in the sport is fading bring back the v10's

  • I miss the Renault super-quick starts

  • Bahhh 0:17 =D

  • LOL

  • I love and miss the sound of those v10s. I also miss the tobacco advertising.

  • @chazzyfizzle1234 Spot on Mate. Indeed. We all Miss : Marlboro, West, Benson&Hedges, Lucky Strike, Mild Seven...

Come on bring back the old Cigarette ads !

  • @hadabenz That mclaren west was a lovely looking car . It looks nice today though with vodafone on it and chrome too :P

  • @chazzyfizzle1234 and then we wouldn't of had to do all this cost saving which is ruining the sport and environmentally friendly engines. We want lap records broken, not them constantly being held. I do agree with the fact that if we did bring back tobacco advertising we could have them back but stupid people think twice about that.

  • that was the same race when montoya passed schumacher in the bus stop ..amazing stuff anyway

  • What ever the reason hi managed to pass 5 cars in 2 laps.. Amazing!

  • montoya is INSANE every time he races its like a movie scene

  • montoya has less fuel?????

  • to byly czasy,to byly wyscigi, to byla walka na torze a nie procesja, to byly bolidy, v10, te dzwieki ehhh

  • is FRIDAY THAT MONTOYA HAVE DONE THIS

IS NOT IN RACE TO EASY

  • montoya wasnt flying in the straight, he past barrichellos ferrari, who left his front wing in buttons bar-honda, one of the cars in eau rouge

  • Well, first it's impossible that barrichello was going to 40 kmh, second do you know that difusor and the engine of williams was illegal?? the engine had (i dont remember) 60 hp more than the ferrari engine.. and the diffusor was a solution like brawn and actual williams (did the talk with FIA..? -.-)

  • WOW, how the heck? Montoya kept so much freaking speed he just flew past them on the straight...how??

  • in 2005 the mclarens were in first row

  • its 2004.

  • I would like to have a time machine and put him together with a driver of the same outstanding calibre like Senna . ....I belive that often one or the other wouldn't finish the race........pure natural talented and no fear drivers.

  • Unbelivable! He has overtaken two cars at Eau Rouge corner! I can't believe my eyes!

  • can some one explain to me why montoya was literally flying past all those cars. cus i have no reason. thanks

  • probably he had less fuel ;p

  • naaa that cant be lmaoo, it was if he had extra 500 HP or summit. fuel wudnt make dat a big a differance. i mean wen he over took dat car on the staright it luked as if he is goin twice as fast.

  • its 2004 because montoya is in a williams with the ugly nose.

  • Actually, Williams only used the ugly nose for the beginning half of the 2004 season. They did not use it for spa.

  • stil...its pretty ugly

  • in 2005 was rain

in 2005 renault wasnt on pole

  • omg i dont remember montoya in mclaren :p

  • wow, those renaults were quick! and montoya was flying as well!

  • were the renaults great starts attributable to an awesome launch control system or good driving?

  • Lauch control + large rear weight bias

  • montoya did go off the white line after eau rouge

  • 2004, not 2005 because mclaren were on pole

  • Get out of my way... xD

  • super.

  • Go s.m

  • I miss Montoya. He was the best!

  • juan pablo best start!!

  • its 2004, in 2005 montoya pole position

  • it´s 2004, in 2005 was Montoya in Mclaren

  • huhh montoya. I didn't like him, but it wasn't ugly

  • fark look at the renaults starts!!

  • fark look at the renaults starts!!

  • u right its 2004 sry

  • 2004
