just wanted to know if you know how to defened your self because i trained in the wahlum kung fu for 2 1/2 years and i did now how to use any of that shit.
@12344richard Make it your own. To many "traditional martial arts" focus on forms. Other styles like MMA focus on application. Take what works for you out of the style and practice it until you can use it (punching bag, opponent, etc...). I don't do much Wah-Lum, but I can use some stuff out of it. The same goes for the mantis, jui-jitsu, and the southern styles I study. Take what works for YOU and adapt it into your own style. Hope this helps.
Yeah your a fighter, clearly, cause you ain't a martial artist. Stop being a prick and congratulate his good form, if his master didn't like the fact that this was online, he'd get him to take it down and punish the kid himself.
I know this form.. But I have too much respect Master Chan, his daughters, and Simo Suzie Chan to break this form out in a grocery store parking lot and post it on youtube. Yeah its a bautiful form.. Its an upper level Wah Lum Pai form. It seems he's only intrested and show boating.
hahahaha... you're a nerd. shut up about this little stuff ok? You're acting stuck up on the cyber place. backwards and forwards doesn't matter. Sequences aren't dances ok?
I agree too many arm chair warriors living in their parents basements, or too many people who live their lives vicariously through tearing people down on the web rather than living life. "You will be judged on what you build not what you destroy." Barack Obama
OK i can't stand you people who make these kind of comments on other people's martial arts performances. was the form 'perfect'? of course not but it was still an amazing form. the reason why u people make these comments is due to psychological reasons (like your jealous he's better than you) so u feel the urge to critique. but seriously, leave the critiquing to his own sifu. what u think these people read these posts and act upon on the advice of random people whose credential are unknown?
If he doesn't like the comments, he can disable them. I view the previous comment as constructive critisism. It's true. If he slowed down a little bit, he'd have an excelent form.
This may be a shock to you, but we don't live in a world where everyone gets a trophy for everything that you do. If you post somethin online, everyone isn't going to like it and people are oing to comment on it.
No one was sayin that it's not a beautiful form. It could be better if it was slowed down a little.

Fancy moves, but is it practical? I mean, if you threw another guy in the mix with a broadsword, would this form be enough to combat him, or would he just be dancing around in some array his Sifu taught him? I don't really see the practical applications of such an art.
No form is every really meant to be done in sequence on somebody. They're meant to increase your endurance and ability. If you wanted to practice the fighting aspects of a form, you would take each individual move and combination and do them repeatedly. This is often a big misconception in martial arts.
Very nice form. It had good fluidity and showed good control.

The cuts in 7-star need to be lower. The cut ends with the sword at your toes.

Yeah, I know right. level 9A. A bit rushed but good job. Focus more on each sequence.
WahLumwithGracie07 4 years ago
Nice.
Tallgoose05 3 years ago
you're rushing through the form, it's hurting your technique, but the end of the form looks really nice. Good job.
