It is direct violation of their contract. And besides that, our lab rats wouldn't maybe go off the deep end quite as much if they had a diversion such as singing which emits certain hormones in brain function. Once again, for our viewing pleasure, we like to see them go off the deep end. It's what we tune in for.

watching the season i was a j&j fan, but later on during jeff's reign as hoh, he got cocky and disrespectful towards jordan and she got all up in russell's face like she was tough shit. and while i didn't like russell for whom he was aligned with at first, i will say that he and michele were my two faves. and for the record, jeff, that was a DUMB move on your part to kick russ' ass out that week

@SamFisher147 Actually, the real reason they can not sing has nothing to do with fun or dancing. I worked in television for years. If they allow them to sing the song, they must pay the artist royalties and they do not want to... which is why they get a few songs every morning and the feeds are cut. Also why they have music on headphones in HOH.
