Peter Schickele was a student in Aspen in the summer of 1962. The final student concert that August was a spoof concert that he arranged. I believe it was the first time that he entered a concert hall by swinging in to the stage via a rope from the balcony. Unfortunately, he really didn't measure the length of the rope prior to his descent. I am proud to say that I was there for the birth of PDQ Bach.
