  • I converted from apathist (thought the god thing was all irrelevant really) to atheist or anti-creationist when I read Dawkins' rearguard action and I looked the the US. It scared me so much. I have slight interest in understanding how people could believe all the religion stuff. A PCS video makes me think they are ALL nuts which I know is wrong, but he makes it so easy to dismiss creationist claims as loony when you hear such utter nonsense.

    cheers

  • Im an athiest, yet I agree, PCS should just (If he has too at all) put out a CD of his holy book, let people listen and decide for themselves, Personally, I think there quite possably was a man called Jesus (or simmilar) who was a jewish phillosopher of the time, but not devine or the son of any god, and his core message of peace and fellowship is important to look at, no matter your religious leanings.

  • THE ODDS of the sequence of molecules in a cell coming together by chance are similar to the odds of magnetic letters randomly bonding together in a sequence to form all the words and sentences in a dictionary. Without the right sequence, a cell's molecules won't work. Amino acids can come by chance but not proteins. Without DNA there can be no proteins and vice versa. Gradually won't do. It's all at once or not at all for a cell's survival. Read my article: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM

  • @Mogley52 Ya I'm pretty sure that this videos maker Believes God is behind Abiogenesis being that he is a christian.

  • "JUNK DNA" ISN'T JUNK: Recent research shows that these segments of DNA are vital in regulating gene expression (when, where, and how genes are expressed). There's no room for random mutations to operate safely. Random mutations, from radiation, are destructive. Even for every good one there would be hundreds of harmful ones with the net effect, over time, causing harm and even extinction, not upward evolution. Genetic similarities are better explained due to a common design for common purposes.

  • HOW DOES DNA MAKE A BODY? When you divide a cake the parts are smaller than the original cake and the cake never gets bigger. When we were a cell and that cell divided, the new cells were the same size as the original cell and we got bigger. New material had to come from somewhere. That new material came from food. The sequence in our DNA directed our mother's food we received in the womb to become new cells forming all the tissues and organs of our body. Read my article: HOW DID MY DNA MAKE ME?

  • HUMAN EMBRYO doesn't have true gills or tail. These and other arguments have long been discarded by most evolutionists and not supported by any modern embryologist. Then, what are these structures? Read "Does The Human Embryo Go Through Animal Stages" at the Institute for Creation Research site. Briefly, what look like gills are early formation of facial and throat regions. What looks like a tail is the coccyx which grows faster than the rest of the body. The coccyx supports the pelvic muscles.

  • Any moment in my life spent admiring ANYTHING in ANY religious book is a moment wasted.

  • Who is this Jesus character anyway?

I'm curious. Can you please give an account of his existence.

But, I want it done without any reference to the New Testament.

At best, other literature and accounts only vaguely mention a Jesus-like character.

It is seriously suggested that the man never existed, but was a conglomeration of stuff.

Outside the New Testament, tell me about Jesus.

    I'm curious.

  • very good point made, try to tell us about parts of reality (god) yet reject other realities that are undeniable (evolution), then why should we even bother taking anything you say seriously?

  • No the Big bang helps disprove Christianity The phenomenal event of virtual Particles is something coming from nothing Its nearly 0.1 out of 100 trillion chance to create a life Even lower for a Godly life But 1 out of 200 For mass energy and 1 out of 1 million for a Prime Simple single Cell creation. This is all learned from my advanced classes.

  • @konamaiki1 no - he is very good looking, but don't let that sway you with regard to his arguments!

  • yea but his arguments are good and he shold be distributing cds its all in an opinon so that argument cold be fliped wright around back to you btw wen all thous countless times wen he was disproven thanks for giving a example =D

  • Sorry but I am not going to encourage some delusional boy to put the bible on cds. I know this christian thinks he is doing a good thing but not having some creationist drivel out there but really he is not. This boy needs help.

Also would not time, money and resources be better spent by christians on helping people like food, housing? No I do not hate the bible but I hate preaching and think if you honestly care for people the best think is to give them help they really need.

  • finally, a christian who makes a bit of sense.

rid him of his Christianity, and this gentlemen will make a fine atheist.

  • @kittehprimo You can't have him, we need all the reasonable Christians we can get in our ranks.

  • this twerp isthe best example of ignorant christians

  • I haven't seen people mention that VFX has made videos that should hoax fossils of 50 foot men, hoax photos of 50 foot mummies, and hoax demo skulls. He claimed these were true. You can find the mirrors on a channel called either MartyrForChrist, MartyrofChrist. One such video was up as of last week.

  • venomfag is an idiot...

  • Sure he is, but that shouldn't ruin his life and follow him forever... Everybody can go wrong... Ok, perhaps not that much, but you know... ^^

  • Venomfag is a moron. He didn't say anything about evolution. all he said was that if there is a god he's an ass hole killer no what I'm sayin. I wish you would die.

  • Do you realize that you are arguing with a mentally ill person? He may be Christian, but he is obviously Bipolar and hypomanic as well.

  • A Christian with a modicum of intelligence and common sense?

Just when you think you've seen everything....

  • You know I tend not to post my religion, It is mine as an individual. There are so many denominations and variances... I love to debate athiests and theists alike. It is the struggle of man to determine his own role. If by nature or god's will we have free choice. I love science and I love faith. I am grateful for this video and hope people will see it as a chance to question there beliefs. Not so as to doubt themselves but as a chance to grow. I am rating this video five stars. Well done. TTFN!

  • I appreciate this video. As an atheist, the one thing that bugs me the MOST about evangelicals is their INSANE and POINTLESS fight with evolution. I fail to understand why a LITERAL reading of genesis is necessary to christianity.

When they waste everyone's time fighting evolution they are only promoting ignorance.

  • @GetMeThere1--Who said it was to be taken literally? There was no apple that was eaten. The serpent was not a snake, at least at the point of his seduction of Eve. Who told you that christians take the creation story of Genesis literally? Regardless of how long it took for things to be as they are, it takes an impressive amount of denial and refusal to even WANT to know what's really going on to be able to see the magnificence of creation and not know that it was intelligent design.

  • @tardwhisperer "Who said it was to be taken literally?" Um, those many people who say so, that's who. And others don't--as you succeed in pointing out the obvious.

And that's the PROBLEM: the bible MEANS NOTHING, because the MEANING MUST BE INSERTED BY THE READER--therefore, it's arbitrary, and based on personal fantasy--not reality.

  • @GetMeThere1--There is absolutely no way that you could come to that conclusion except through deliberate denial. It means everything because it states the obvious. There is white and there is black. There is good and there is evil and we see this evidence through the actions of human beings on a daily basis. And now you will ask me who's to say which is which. The wicked are good debaters, but wrong nonetheless.

  • Two words: Cambrian explosion.

  • Cambrian explosion happen over the span of 70 MILLION years. The word "explosion" only suggests the rapid acceleration of diversificaion in fauna and flora IN COMPARISON to the long history of Earth (approx. 4.6 billion years) and life on Earth (approx. 2.0 billion years).

70 million years is only a "flash of an eye" within 20 billion years, hence the word "explosion". Is it really so hard to conceptualize this?

  • Correction: "2.0 billion" instead of "20 billion" in the last paragraph in the previous reply.

    That was a typo.

  • What is FFreeThinker's religious affiliation?

  • Unless I am utterly confused, FFreeThinker is an atheist; he is doing what UNFFwildcard asked, and helping to circulate his video.

Well done UNFF - you got me to 5 star spreading the gospel, you sly devil you. (Don't infer anything by my use of the word devil.)

  • you are probably the first NONE extremist christian.

I didin't thought that "you" existed here on youtube.

  • one thing i would like to say, ive rated commented and subscribed now, but i do have a problem with christ simply because he introduces the idea of hell, which, correct me if im wrong, is absent in the old testament. God killed plent of people in the old testament, but left them alone one they were dead, but it was jesus that brings the idea that souls are tortured for all eternity, and for that reason i do have a problem with christ

  • I love how VenomFangX has his comments for his videos set to approval only. He is pathetic, he doesn't want anybody questioning his views or giving other opinions. I figure "god" would want freedom to express, but apparently not. FUCK Venomfangx. All his videos comment sections are filled with "Praise the Lord" Bullshit. Makes me fucking sick.

  • Amen to that FFreeThinker...

  • Damn, where such Christians are hiding? I've heard of leprechauns, but lol you're even more rare, haha. I didn't even know FFreethinker you were one. Damn.

  • He's not - see my reply to VanDoodah.

  • You may be right.

  • If he's a Protestant, then, if you don't mind my asking, why does he upload so many atheistic videos?

  • ??????

I said he was an atheist.

  • The exxon mess is still not cleaned up...

  • It is true venomfangx is converting people and thats into atheists just what one of his videos there a joke.

  • Dude, did you even watch the video you're commenting on???

  • stop being so nice to VFX aka PCS. he has lost the right to mature discussion a looong time ago.

he deserves nothing but pointed fingers and ridicule now.

  • that is true. I used to be catholic myself (I'm now a nonbeliever) and there is no way a logical person could think that catholics are not christians.

  • Let VFX continue, he helps to create more atheists.

  • sooo boring!!

  • I swear to god that VFX's mouth looks like a vagina

  • Is VFX a Christian?

If you believe in Jesus you then have to believe the Hebrews were the chosen people, if you believe that, then you have to believe in Adam / Eve (factually), if you believe that then you would have to believe God had relieved God-self to 1% of the world's population and ignored the rest.

Every human culture has a representation for the divine, unknown, etc. If you wish to explain the spread of Christianity you might explain why the world uses the Gregorian calendar.

  • bloody briliant

  • Those who 5 star this video are falling into a trap that Sam Harris talks about a lot. Moderate Christians give the more radical people a cloak of normalcy to hide behind. Supporting the distribution of any religious message just lends authenticity to kent Hovinds' of the world. If Christianity were not so big, would ANYONE listen to Hovind? As an atheist I don't want to see anyone evangelizing the bible or any religion.

Religion is the poison, not fundamentalism!

    Take down the video, PLEASE!

  • if what you believe is true, than why bother challenging religion when you have nothing to gain and yet everything to lose?

  • Take your head out of Sam Harris's ass for a few minutes and see the objective of what is being done in this video instead of WHO is doing it. I mean, are you suggesting that all charities with a large religious base close up shop just because they are linked to religion despite the good they are doing? If so, I don't think you'd find many people to support you in that arena. In fact, you'd probably come across as an intolerant bigot atheist stereotype.

  • What charity? VFX deadbeat fund? What kind of objective is spreading lies from a convicted fraud? With the circumstances and past situations, it damn well does matter who is doing it. Don't you think it's a little ironic that VFX is asking for money right after he talks about not being able to hold onto a job? Considering the huge house he lives in, the big tvs, the video game systems he has, it is just redundant to hear him beg for money.

  • Yes, I do think they should be closed, despite any good they are doing. There are many, many non religious charities which do wonderful things all over the world without spreading poison and lies. Religious theocracies are trying to kill free speech through the UN, establish Sharia law in the west and the Catholic church is the largest real estate holder in the US and doesn't pay 1 red cent of taxes while helping to spread aids in Africa which a real charity will have to clean up!

  • Free Speech is the key word here! As a fellow atheist, I would like to see religion's mouth shut too, but I want to live in a world where everyone has the right to speak their mind and if you want religion to shut up then it's only fair to ask us to shut up too! Do you want to live in a world of censorship?

  • I ignore VFX because he is an unrealistic, biased, closed-minded, brainwashed Christian. Not all Christians are, but he is. Plus he ignores all people that refute him. He is a coward with no common sense. He admits that his religion is so overwhelming that he can't properly function in society, which is why he can't hold a job. He can't stop spewing his garbage about the bible at everyone whether it's appropriate or not, even when they tell him they don't want to hear it.

  • VFX can't hold a job because he's a malcontent little Bible thumping prick.

  • Superb Video! 5 stars.

As an atheist, I do wish individuals had two cd*s to listen too. One about a god and, another as to the amount of evidence of this said; god.

Otherwise, I, as an individual, will need to filter out what I hear from **fully** un-informed cd victims.

No, I do not hold any hate for the religions. That in itself is quite shallow.

I do however, require a solid and/or near solid base of information to form my opinions on, which makes me uneasy with the religious mind.

  • Awesome video.

  • Great job!

  • Beautifully put man. Our Creator is beyond our comprehension.Sadly people like VFX are too afraid to actually have faith in that and have a complusive need to prove nothing but a distorted opinion of their little ego-maniacal selves.

  • i guess vfx doesnt understand you cant debate someone into loving the lord

  • Sooo... let me get this straight. It's not in your "fellow Christian" character to actively evangelize yourself, but you wish to advise FangX on how to evangelize?

  • ^_- Why do they have a door way to hell there? Like the closet to Narnia?

  • On the brighter side there's no evidence there is a hell. YAY!

  • Well,,,,,,he is a young kid that works at a video store, what do you expect ?

  • clerks 3!!!!!!!!!

  • What a moral god! Sentencing someone to eternal torture for something he admits is not their fault. Loving god? I think not.

  • Actually i do have a problem with Jesus. Although he is seen as a figure of good, some of his actions make him an evil maniac. Spreading fear among people and asking people to do bad things by our standards today.

  • The question of evolution to me seems to be one of the very least important things to consider as a Christian. Christianity is about christ - not refuting science.

  • Earth Final Conflict is better man

  • fictional i said. please read the full comment before getting so pushy. he's in the same category to me as Dr. Seuss characters, Santa Clause and Disney. same team my friend, no need to bite my head off.

  • I believe that Venomfangx oozes of pride and will never admit to his errors in judgment. No amount of evidence will ever change his mind.

Such is the depth of human delusion.

  • I'm an atheist and whilst I don't support every aspect of what you say I support your intent and as such am happy to rate your video as 5 stars (if I can figure out how). Keep 'em coming bro!

  • Where is the delusion in obama becoming president?

  • While I'm happy that trying to get VFX to shut up is a good thing, I have to disagree that evolution is just a belief for atheists. How many more times do we have to say that evolution is a theory which has stood firm for 150 years, and has been re-inforced by branches of science which were unknown in Darwins time? We believe that evolution is true because of the facts, but don't believe it in the sense of a faith, which is based on no evidence whatsoever.

    Good argument though.

  • Intriguing.

You know, what you said about atheists view of reality is the exact same as those of us who believe in the spiritual from the other side of the table.

  • well of course, it's just not believing in a supreme intelligent being that created and governs everything. It's not even necessarily saying there is none, mostly just that there is no evidence and thus no pressing need to believe.

  • And who gets to make such a decision for those of us who choose to believe in the spiritual ?

  • You can believe in it all you want...but don't expect to be able to reasonably defend it to people who want evidence. And definitely do NOT try to enforce your spiritual beliefs on everyone. that includes your morals if you cannot give a good practical reason why such a thing is a moral issue.

As long as you shut up about it I don't think anyone would really care...but stuff like Christianity due to the tenants CANT be silent. They have to 'save' everyone.

  • I'm sure many of the believers think so :P

  • He didn't walk on water, heal diseases, or get birthed by a virgin. He was just a nice guy promoting peace and love. Atheists for Jesus.

  • Jesus' message isn't original... why support him and not the people he borrowed it from? He's got too much baggage, I think.

  • i meant Jesus as a fictional historical figure. i do not know who his mentors were. i was raised on Aesop's Fables and those stories are a lot nicer then the old testament and the koran. nevertheless, all of the Jesus stories are nice as well, except for the David Blain stuff.

  • That's just the thing - Jesus really *isn't* much of a historical figure. Apart from the Bible, there is no record of anything whatsoever that he said.

What I was really trying to say is that the mythology of Jesus is just a conglomeration of things that came before.

  • Does eternal hellfire for nonbelievers fall under the category of peace or love? Atheist for Jesus are buying the same BS as the religious in repeating the lie that jesus was a great moral teacher.

  • Jesus stories are better than Muhammed stories.

  • But Chuck Noris's are better than both!

  • Ugh...stop flattering this guy. He's a little snot! Do you really want to be ANYTHING like him? Even in his zeal?

  • AMEN!

  • Excellent video. I agree with most of it too.

  • Great video, I agree with pretty much all of it. Though depending on your definition of the word 'problem', I'm not quite sure about the not having a problem with Jesus. Jesus, assuming the character existed, had some good things to say, but he also had his share of bad advice. Take no thought for tomorrow, separate from your family to be closer to god etc. Had he been a regular guy, I have no problem, but as a leader, real or not, I gotta say I have some issues.

  • Ezekiel 14:9 says that if a prophet gives a false prophecy, it's because God deceived him.

There's also the whole story of Abraham and Isaac, where God told Abraham he wanted his son as a sacrifice... but later basically said "Just kidding!"

And the fact that in Genesis, God tells Adam that he'll die on the same day that he eats the fruit from the forbidden tree.

  • Ramen, brother. Preach on, preacha.

  • Some people just do not have the mental ability to comprehend reality; you shouldn't pick on these people. Of course they could just be stupid! I can't tell the difference.

  • Hopefully THIS one gets through to him.

  • Don't get your hopes up.

  • Ha til I got to the end i thought I was finding out FFreethinker was a Christian, then I finally realized you were mirroring this. Phew

  • Well done

  • A metaphor is not a lie, a parable is not a lie. It is not lying to tell a moral truth threw allegory. Your very small view of god and it's power is more likely to incur gods wrath then someone studying his supposed handy work.

I truly feel sorry for you, and I can only hope that one day you are not so arrogant as to deny reality, for your world view.

  • I truly feel sorry for you and other deeply superstitious people. Such narrow world view, and such rejection of science that has produced the very computer you typed this comment on.

  • If it is all metaphor and parable, why believe that any of it is literally true?

  • you do reliease that bible has been editted many times and what lies in the bible therefor would not be the direct word of god....so yea ur an idiot

  • God says he lies. It's in the Bible. Sorry.

  • People like VenomfangX are destroying their own cause, by giving atheists a rich mine of paper tigers. Keep it up VFX! You are making it far easier.

  • ehm.. i'm an atheist and i hate god? and religion? :p we're already a step further by now. peacec sells.. but who's buying?

  • how can you be a Christian and NOT be a creationist that is just ridiculous.

  • i,ve just watched his maths problem video,,so how does he explain that a single sperm is a human body in nine months i think he makes it up as he goes along,,

  • Thanks for this - if VFX uses the assertion that most of his critics are deluded by Satan because most are atheists, perhaps he'll listen to a Christian critic. More likely he'll just think you are too 'moderate' but its worth a try.

He could not do better than handing out CDs with the complete Radio 4 play 'Witness', based on the Gospel of Luke. Even I enjoyed listening to those and somehow I think even VFX himself could learn a few things about the man whose teachings he claims to follow.

  • As for your argument that believing in Christ and Creationism being separate issues... That is only true from a surface based POV. When I said 'believe in Christ' I didn't simply mean believe he existed, I meant believing that he is the Lord and Savior of the World. So if you believe that, but don't believe that God his father created the world, then how can you call yourself a Christian?

  • FreePlay,

That's only the case if you believe in Evolution. I believe that the world is less than 10,000 years old so I don't believe God is 'tricking people into thinking he doesn't exist and then sending them to hell.'

  • I really want you to show me one thing if you have the time. You said a couple of times that 'your Creationist arguments have been refuted multiple times' but you claim you are a Christian. So my question is really two-fold. Where is this refuting proof? and if you say Creationism has been REFUTED, how can you say that you believe in Christ?

  • "if you say Creationism has been REFUTED, how can you say that you believe in Christ? "

It's quite simple, since the two are unrelated.

  • their more than related the bible says that Christ was their when Creation happened!!! lolz this is just a silly.

  • "their more than related the bible says that Christ was their when Creation happened!!! lolz this is just a silly."

So he both lives outside of time AND worries that God left him while he was on the cross?

Sorry. If he thought God had left him, he couldn't live outside of time.

Not that any of it matters; the whole book is nonsense.

  • john 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

  • The Bible is a meaningless book of fiction.

  • There's also the fact that if God created the universe, then he did it in a way that doesn't require his existence.

Is God really so much of a jerk that he'll trick people into thinking he doesn't exist and then send them to hell?

The simpler answer is that he really *doesn't* exist. No need to rationalize it away.

  • Your reply illustrates that the very definition of religion has changed. Now it's easy to point and laugh at the circus of idiocracy. Religion is now the art of mindfucking for political manipulation. Believe it or not, long ago religion had some purpose, besides the self replication of a brain parasite. Anachronistic metaphors are just fine, as long as those learning from the tales are aware that the point is to maintain an open mind. When that is lost, it's not a religion, but a dogmatic cult.

  • As a Christian Myself, this is old stuff, but most atheists just don't listen to it.

I'm fine with believing in evolution and God, but none of that disproves God exists, yet nothing proves he does. No matter how much science is uncovered, that can't change, it's been the same way since the bible was written, since the Celtic age, the Medieval age, theres no reason for society to change its beliefs.

  • "No matter how much science is uncovered, that can't change, it's been the same way since the bible was written, since the Celtic age, the Medieval age, theres no reason for society to change its beliefs."

So the flat earth is still the center of the universe, schizophrenia is still caused by demons, women are still property, and minorities are cursed by the mark of Cain?

Certainly no reason for society to change its beliefs.

Why do you assume belief in God is the default logical position?

  • I love it when people take things out of context.

I mean theres still no proof he doesn't exist. hundreds of years ago you would have been executed or prosecuted from believing in aliens, but now that we know it's possible, all of a sudden god can't exist. It was stupid of me to call religion the default but meh. You get what I'm saying.

  • "I mean theres still no proof he doesn't exist. hundreds of years ago you would have been executed or prosecuted from believing in aliens, but now that we know it's possible, all of a sudden god can't exist. It was stupid of me to call religion the default but meh. You get what I'm saying."

You're saying that it's okay to believe in an extraordinary claim without any evidence...

  • Once you bother to provide evidence that he actually does exist, we can have this conversation. Until then, I'll continue to disbelieve.

  • 1. I'm not trying to make you believe.

    2. I never claimed there is proof he exists.

  • Then why on earth do you believe it?

  • There is no reason to believe, but there is no reason to disbelieve is there? If theres no evidence pointing either way (which is what I was trying to say) then would at LEAST observing the most influential book of all time should mean something to you?

  • There definitely *is* evidence pointing away from the book - the fact that it is consistently wrong in areas of science, the fact that miracles like the ones mentioned in the Bible simply do not happen, and the fact that prayer fails better than anything else.

The fact that a book is influential does not make it true.

If there's no evidence pointing either way, belief is not rational, reasonable, or justified.

  • Well said, sir

  • A Christian cleaning his own "house"! Amazing!

Perhaps Christianity is not completely dead after all.

Perhaps one Christian knows that the baby is being thrown out with the bath water, by consistent acts of blatant thumper stupidity.

For too long has Christianity been synonymous with the narcissism of sociopaths. If the faith can cleanse itself, as this person sets the example for, Christianity can stop being a blight on the Earth and a disease in mankind.

Hope. Is it too much to ask for?

  • If Christianity can cleanse itself of irrationality and fearful superstition, then and only then will it stop being a blight.

Of course, it would then also no longer be a religion.

  • im the troll your the one that wont go away. stop replying to me.

also your the one on here all the damn time attacking others.

so go get a life my friend.

  • It's unfortunate that you can't distinguish between a personal attack and debating.

  • you call me a troll that's a personal attack ass.

how much of your life do you spend on here. god damn. its like your whole life is spent on youtube.

you know theres other things besides being on here.

i think its about time you grow up.
