It's amazing how similar Prince is to MJ in many ways now because, like Michael, he's a Jehovah's Witness and is more family friendly now with his music & concerts the way Michael and his brothers started out, while Michael, while he was alive was moving towards a more overtly sexual image that Prince was starting to reject. They both were moving in opposite directions with the same goals in mind. I do belief that Prince & Michael were born as polar opposites in the same year, two months apart.
@kalimaganeshshivan Just too add on to what you're saying, or really clarify, they were never really that different. They were just raised differently, Prince had more freedom growing up to find out who he was and to be that. Michael arguably didn't and outside of music had no real identity. Even his stage persona wasn't real and I think the lack of authentic human connection too himself & others is what really did him in over time.
@Daprince823 You're absolutely right, Prince's father never had the opportunity to play "Joe Jackson" because he really wasn't that close to him, in fact, he didn't become involved with Prince's career until the "Purple Rain" era. Furthermore Prince was never the type to take orders from anyone, including his father & had his own identity. Michael actually became more like Prince but at an older age, breaking away from his family to create his own persona however he never had a childhood.
@kalimaganeshshivan I made a typo, "I do BELIEVE that Prince & Michael were born as polar opposites in the same year, two months apart." I hate making typos!
Wow. That's very mean to yell him off the stage and call him a gay and give him the middle finger. I think that is just horrible. I wish I could have been there for him to talk to him and calm him down. That is very sad. Joseph on the other hand could've been a little more nicer. I mean strict he was what got the Jacksons up there-that was enough to keep pushing. He should'nt have pushed Michael to what he did'nt want to do. Michael was just so sweet(I wish a lot of people were) and he loves.
@kalimaganeshshivan Yes, this is right! Allegedly, the booing sound from that show (with the Stones) can be heard on the 1985 track, Pop Life. I have read this however, I don't know if that's really true? Maybe Wendy and Lisa could actually answer that?

@FantasiaL777 Weren't you listening? That booing and racist heckling happened to Prince and the Revolution, not Michael!
