Think the complaints about the road size is a bit silly. Really, it doesn't look that much worse than New York City or even Boston. Pretty sure any of the "colony" states is gonna have towns and cities that relate to "old roads that came before cars".

I dont know how the hell I would drive there, Its so fucking tiny. Before anyone asks, Yes Im writing from North America ( United States ), but shit man!!! this place looks like a shoe box. I rather be stuck in traffic on the Dan Ryan express way ( Chicago ), than being stuck in Traffic in Paris in small tiny streets.
i was in Vegas and it took about 10 Min's just to get from one side of the road to the other, walking!!! but if you think the streets of Paris are small you should try York UK then you would really experience small streets.
yes, streets in Europe are not as wide as in US, european downtowns were built long before America was discovered and so streets were built for needs in that time and adjusted a bit as we progressed but since cars are bigger with every new model, streets start to look tiny because we can't widen them anymore + I think we have some kind of standard for the Eurozone regarding the width of streets, they'll all pretty much the same width all across Europe, you Americans don't have space problems...
I know what you mean. Once, I had to drive in Chile, South America in a car that small and streets that narrow. I am used to small cars so, for me, it's no sweat. I was amazed how I saw someone manage to park a Chevrolet Tahoe in a small space while I was down there. Kinda weird at first, but, when you get used to it, it's no sweat. Paris streets are actually larger than in Santiago, Chile (at least where I was at.) But, I agree. I would much rather drive in Chicago (than Chile or NC combined.)
It makes the city infinitely more pleasant to walk around. The boulevards are for driving, these small streets are for LIVING on two legs. Try walking in most of our American cities, it's impossible.

driving is the best way of getting around paris.
the public transit system is one of the best in the world, but the metro is dirty as fuck.
