1: It was new and innovative, people wanted to try it out.

2: Dumb people bought the console for it's various "Yoga" and "Exercise" games. Dumb people who'd rather spend a shitload of money, instead of going outside and jogging for 10 minutes a day.

3: It was bought by dumb parents who know nothing about games, they bought it for their kids at Christmas, who then stopped playing it after the first 2 weeks.

This should have been renamed Castlevania Online, and released as a multiplayer component to a single player game. Even Judgment had a single player mode and contributed to canon.

And don't pull that solo mode = single player BS. The stages still show they require multiplayer, and it's honestly just an offline run at the game. Even Killzone 2 has an offline mode like that.

@Iveseenlovedie i agree with tenhighkratos but i also enjoyed dawn of sorrow on the ds and circle of the moon on the game boy advance. both aged but the 2 new ds castlevania games (portrait of ruin and order of ecclesia) i felt were too gimmicky and strayed too far from the series with no relevant direction. plus dawn of sorrow and circle of the moon are probably dirt cheap at this point in time and theyre amazing games. second and third best behind symphony of the night imo

@Iveseenlovedie If you like exploring and leveling up but not in the sense of grinding or tedious play like Final Fantasy or WOW, then you should definitely buy Symphony of the Night from Xbox Live! That is the best one I can recommend but I have heard alot of good things about the new Lords of Shadow. Do not waste your time on any N64 Castlevania crap! Anything else is good but SotN is all around awesome!! It is an older game but still awesome!! Hope that helps. Laterz

People really hate this game for some reason which kinda bugs me. I like this game no matter what anyone says, but i'm assuming the reason ppl dont like it is because of the feel I guess. Plus there is no storyline, but despite all those its actually very similiar to Sonnet of the night. You can change the camera to look the same at SOTN the default controls are switch very little, but its easy to get used to. It's very fun online just as long as no one is rushing with the Valmanway to the boss.
