Just ordered the East West complete composers collection myself. Sounds great! Very nice composition. I think someone already pointed out that their might be a tad too much reverb, which was a tad distracting in some parts, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. :) More please!
I like how you have made the two tracks like twins, alike in some ways, yet strikingly different, still, they're both very well made tracks! :) keep up the good work
I'm happy you point that out! And yeah I know, it is quite a while since I made this now, intend to re-make it at some point. I think that'll get interesting. Thanks a lot mate, glad you guys enjoy it :)
It takes huge amounts of time :) This video is pretty much two pieces added together into one, so about 7-8 hours-ish each as I already had most of the "theme" written already. But this is a very very long time ago, I spend minimum 11 hours at bigger pieces like this now. It depends on so much, really.
What part of it takes the longest? I never understood how film composers could make mockups for trailers and such if it's so time-consuming. Would you say that this is a good hobby, even though it's time-consuming? Because I would love to make the ideas in my head become audibly sound. My mom says that if I get good grades, she'll fund my mini-studio. Is it worth it?
@TorturedXeno I find the longest part of composing is always getting you idea, or your basis that the score will build on. The main theme takes time to think up, but when you find something that sounds good, it's really easy to imagine ways to harmonize and build on it. It is definitely worth investing in a personal studio, only as long as you have multiple years of musical experience, and alot of dedication.
not that I want to spoil the mood but...why is everyone going after the epic style?

@DJPeteJames EWQL is better than Vienna - Vienna sounds artificial

I did the reverb, are you using east west's reverb or just the hall mics or what?>

Amazing stuff. I hear that sequencer/MIDI compositions take a long time to make. How long did this take?

Man kan høre at du er inspirert av Hans Zimmer, men jeg syns musikken er litt for stillestående og du når aldri et høydepunkt:P Men fin musikk;)
