I want to know if Potus & Flotus left those doors open on purpose, with no music playing? Michelle seemed discomforted by the sounds of protest, and I'm sure the irony of the situation didn't escape them. Was this a way of showing our guest that free speech isn't repressed here? Was it to show the American people that, 'yes, we have these social responsibilities but we acknowledge your protest.'
I'm confused about intention, or reading too much into open doors.
@alexandriaheather It's just a simple protest, I honestly don't think there was much intention( symbolic or cynical) by the white house.
I've witness protests against China in the US. They're pretty small, a lot more than portrayed by the media. So, I'm guessing those protesters must have been really loud.
Oh, and by the way, when you see the President and the First Lady step out of the White house, you can hear the protesters. That is disrespectful and a waste of time. It's one thing to protest when a bill is being passed, because that is NOT a waste of time, but a great time to protest. But when the White House is having dinner? Way to go.
I cannot believe that those first two reporters would ask that question to the NJ Senator. It doesn't matter if you are blue or red, we are all U.S Citizens. Why should it matter if the President only invites a few Republicans? If he invited more to make it equal, then THAT would be fake, because it would mean that he has to hire the equal amount of Democrats and Republicans because it's the right thing to do. NOT!! He invites who he wants.
M.O. looks like a drag queen with buck teeth. thumbs up if you agree.
