This DVD is one of the most fascinating, amazing, wonderful, stirring and touching films I have seen in a very long time.
Thank you so much for making it, psybinetic - it's so professionally made and the beautiful music adds even more depth to it. Thank you... simply Thank you. I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT and can only recommend everyone out there to buy it.
The world does more than need it....... even if it seems unlikely mankind will ever wake up from its deep deep sleep.
Life isn't created by RANDOM forces, it's created by UNPREDICTABLE forces; profundity and glory are both in the eye of the beholder; and there IS NO GOVERNING INTELLIGENCE. Have a read of Tree of Knowledge by Maturana and Varela, WAY more sophisticated than this analysis in my opinion.
A "WAKE UP" call, to all those who cannot see....And there will be many...There is not just "The you" that has evolved on this planet, but the chain process of everything else, involving creatures, vegetation. Everything has a course of Action intended to achieve a result. In "Everything" is a code ( information = Intelligence) in its own form.
This film will be the one of many to Breakthrough as a realization of true life.
Evolution is undirected. There's simply no basis to conclude that there is any intended result. The metanoia concept strikes me as a form of theistic-evolution. (seems to be treating nature itself as a kind of god or being) Compared to creationism & intelligent design.. I guess this is 'mostly harmless' - but it's still mere postulation.
Life evolves in a specific direction according to the sensible context within which life is embedded (laws of physics, chemistry etc). Life is likely a function of the Cosmos.
I don't understand how you've jumped to the conclusion of 'specific direction'.
Presumably if you were able to go back to primordial earth and 'restart' evolution - you'd get different results. e.g dinosaur like animals may arise and never go extinct - and there may never arise anything approaching human intelligence level.
That life may be a 'function of the cosmos' sounds plausible enough - if you mean it's likely to arise somewhere.
On life re-runs, I'll wager you will still get the same specifics - i.e. DNA, genes, protein synthesis, ATP cycles, metabolic pathways, nervous systems, a trend toward polyneuronal complexity, and so on - these are sensible evolutionary trends inherent in the context/feedback system we call Nature.
Evolution tends to work in a particular direction, based on known benefits and problems; incorporating solutions to improve the design. (Look at cars & computers.)
The trouble is, as neuronstorm rightly points out, Darwinianism—which is what is commonly understood by "evolution" in this limited context—is not evolution, it is diffusion; random movements under the general influence of a concentration gradient—natural selection.
Thanks for the upload....

@psybinetic Yes, this hits the nail on the head.
