@clairemadeinheaven I'm afraid not, I chose this because it has a lot of percussion, a short and simple main melody, and because it's a short loop in general. Ryu's theme has more melody and also annoying, drawn-out sounds, which are hard to do.

In short, Ryu's theme is too hard for me.

@DaDoppen I guess the criticism of SFA3's OST stems from how they changed the style of the music pretty drastically for everyone. But I thought it was a massive success across the board. What baffles me is how SF3's soundtrack is nigh worshipped and yet SFA3 music gets a ton of flack with SF players.

I'd like to give this a go myself sometime, but I have no idea of how to do pitch shifting effectively. :(

@Matsute I just changed the pitch until I found the note I wanted to start with, then I learn how to play the piece on my synth, wrote it down, and changed the pitch with 1 for every tangent on the synth I had to move to get to the next one. For example, the first note represent a high E, and is pitchshifted at +8, the second one is a high D, and is pitchshifted at +6 (2 less because of the black tangent).

This method wasn't THAT good, but it was ok. Probably got the first note a little wrong.
