My point is that the very fact that you'd accept a totalitarian entity, man or god, as your ruler is something I can't wrap my head around. Its like people don't have any virtue anymore. Its like they view all of humanity as valueless. Opposing an earthly dictatorship and being killed for it is a noble thing. Opposing a heavenly dictatorship and being sent to hell is just as noble (if god / gods were to exist).

Why is religion involved in a documentary called "liberty or death". Religion runs in opposition to liberty... Thomas Jefferson accurately pointed out that everywhere, the religious are in alliance with the despot and abets his abuses in exchange for protection of their own.

Plus.. God is a totalitarian entity according to all 3 Abrahamic religions. He/she/it has nothing to do with liberty.

@Pooternackle5 Nice! Well what I have discovered and understand the God of Israel has everything to do with Liberty. Let's just say God is a totalitarian entity right? Id rather Have a terrifying oppressive God than a Man in power of that totalitarian government Any day Sweeeeeet ^_^! It is better to obey the word of God/Yahuwah than man. So that means by understanding Him and His character within a vibrant relationship man made religion and traditions are no longer a concern.

What people don't understand is, God allows us responsibility and control over our lives Duh, to do whatever we want! @LetsGetItCrunk You can believe in god and still support freedom, but you can't follow your religious tenets and support freedom. Many of our founders were christian secularists. They aligned with the atheist and deists in the continental congress to create the first secular country in the world.

I mean.. you just admitted that you'd be okay with serving a totalitarian god simply because he is god. That's horrible and that is the mindset our founders fought against (divine-right monarchism).

wow...this completely misrepresents the meaning of the phrase "liberty or death". it is not at all about choosing between liberty or death, it is about being willing to die free. it is about putting liberty above all else, even your own life. "give me liberty or give me death"

Hey, I'm going to pick on one word you used in this comment. DEMOCRACY. First and foremost, the USA is SUPPOSED to be a REPUBLIC. Democracies are "mob rule" and don't protect the minority. A republic based on rights, which are derived from property, protect ALL. Every democracy ever recorded had a life of 200 years before it became a dictatorship. The US is 225 years old now, we're due. Other than the use of that word, we're straight and on the same page. I commend your work.

Yes, history reveals and the Catholic church admits that between AD 538 and 1798, the Roman Catholic Church put to death some 60 million Bible-believing Christians. The Bible predicted that this would happen in numerous places, even foretelling what methods would be used and describes this time period 6 different times in 3 different ways. I guess I'm not getting the message...The Catholics were doing all the killing back when, and they are not Christian..they killed Christians like me.
