Marcus, when I made a duct tape bullwhip, my first thought was to just pull tighter to tapper it, but I ended up having to cut down the sides to get a smooth tapper! I hope that makes sense!

Sorry I tried but I couldn't make the vid in time. I'm shipping for basic today.

The taper is cause by the duct tape and its around a rope core to give it extra strength.

I made a 6ft duct tape whip, though could you tell me how you made it so that it's thin at the end and gets thinker towards the handle? This would help a lot. :D

@MantarayProductions do a thin braid of 4 first, then start another 4 on top of that at the handle, but only goin half or three quarter of the way down the whip, tape or tie the loose ends

@ThatSoRandom100 I made one that kinda looked like Indiana Jones' whip before but it would only crack when I did the over-the-head trick :/ so I'm gonna make a new one and it will be more accurate and will perform more like this guy's whip :D

right now im making a duct tape whip that will probably be as good if not better than your's (no offence) wut im doing is- making 9 44ft peices of duct tape. fold all of them in half. take 3 at and time and braid them. then once i got all of thos braided i'll have 3 28ft whips and i'll braid thos together and i'll have about a 15-18 ft bull whip lol. when im done with it tomorrow i'll post it on here =)

@fluffy2700 what you do is tighten it more and more. at the beggining of the whip i dont tighten it a whole lot. but as i get to the end i tighten more and more and more untill it wont go any smaller.

@blessedwrath thanks for the info and advise. Ya there is alot I'll do differently the next time I make one. Some of the trouble with my cracking was just technique now that I've practice more its much easier to crack but still harder then normal good whip (but I will add much louder than normal good whip).

Just so you know the prices above are for thin verson of mine. The one I made is extra thick so it cracks louder but is heavyer so harder to control and tires you out quicker. The prices are for one that would be easy to use and do tricks with.

pretty much ya, What you think a duct tape whip should be cheaper? I didn't just sit down one day with 3 rolls of duck tape and say lets do this. The whip in the video is the second one I made. The first one had alot of flaws and weakness that I designed out of this one. So your paying for my knowledge and experince. All I can say is those prices are what I think its worth maby a little less but pretty close to those prices.

Well, actually they can. I could go online, buy a kit a, set down one day, follow the instructions and have a leather or nylon whip. The same cant be said about the whip Ive made.
