I remember that elephant when I was a kid growing up in Simi Valley. Bob's Tires is who had her in the late 60's and early 70's. He used to have monkey's and Parrots. She was just a baby then. As a kid I thought it was a cool thing to have. As an adult now I know it was cruel.

@max1grandeur While the other elephants don't share Tarra's appreciation for canine companionship, they accept Bella because she comes with Tarra as part of the "package." Bella respects their space and will usually keep a bit of a distance from them.

Talking about an odd couple! This pair is truly it. And it is not a situation of a small lion cup, not knowing better, is suckling on a mother dog, etc. This is a situation of two grown up, old animals choosing each other's company simply because they, for odd reason, really enjoy each other's company, even though they are totally, radically different species. I could watch the elephants all day. They are such magnificent animals. It's great to know at TES they are happy and so well cared for and seem to thrive in each others love and company.

This is GREAT! A 4th video of Tarra & Bella. I love these guys so much. They make me feel the kind of love I used to have with my little dog Oscar, who passed on February 10th of this year. There is no human who could make me feel the kind of unconditional love that Oscar did. When I watch Tarra & Bella, I CAN feel that love again. Thank you so much.
