  • "... tomorrow."

Man, that was a killer finale!

  • The Federal Government even 30 years ago had a hard time passing something that the people have to do all the time a Budget

  • This was back when microwave ovens were new and exciting to most Americans, now they are commonplace.

  • Seems like a Budget something so fundamental to the rest of the country is always the hardest thing for the Federal Government to pass

  • My God I wish SOMEONE would put a stop to the spending against the budget now.

  • I wish they still made Microwaves that looked that attractive.

  • I remember Brezhnev's visit to West Germany.

  • If only he would have laid them off, and NEVER BROUGHT THEM BACK!

Hell, we ALL KNOW WE'D BE BETTER OFF WITHOUT THE SOCIALIST-FEDERALISTS!

Damned shame they ever called them back....

  • "That's Incredible" and "Monday Night Football" promos were voiced by the late Ernie Anderson.

  • @usa02 Yeah, I call him the voice of my childhood! Nobody compares to him!

  • @usa02 I long for the return of those days.

  • Ah Reagan. Always up to something.

  • This aired two days before my sister's 1st birthday. What a treat! :D

  • Do they even have news briefs anymore

  • Nope, because cable news is 24/7 now.

  • They still show news briefs, but they're easy to miss because sometimes they're omitted.

  • @gjs78 You can catch the last remaining network newsbrief every weekday between One Life to Live and General Hospital.

  • Wow, TV sucked then too.

  • Not as badly as it does now!!!!!!

  • This is interesting to me in that at some point in 1981, between the time of the Reagan assassination attempt and when this news brief was made, ABC remodeled the Washington studio/newsroom.

If you look at the 3/2/81 World News Tonight open (posted on Youtube) and this 11/22/81 open the studios are drastically different.

    Just found it interesting.

  • It was more than interesting, it was controversial. After ABC remodeled its Wash. studio/newsroom, they had a dedication and president Reagan stopped by. There was some discussion in the news community at the time about whether that was appropriate. At the time, that was where ABC has their news operations centered with the three anchors (including Frank Reynolds in DC).. they would later be in NYC like everyone else when they brought Jennings over from London after Reynolds death.

  • @joebradio I wish Frank Reynodls, Peter Jennings, David Brinkley, Howard K. Smith and Maz Robinson were back at ABC NEWS and broadcating again. I wish Ted Koppel would come out of retirement anfd return to NIGHTLINE.

  • @WXmanTimothy I thought ABC remodeled it's studio in 1982.

  • The football highlight at the end is Atlanta vs. Cleveland from the 1981 Hall of Fame Game.

  • I was 20 days old then... sweet

  • All that for Burt Reynolds? That's Incredible!

  • Wow... 26-years later and we live in the same world with different names, faces, and places... but the same old story.

  • Superb quality HiFi. Keep up the great work!

  • I agree!
