This is not something from Video Copilot. This is something I've done completely by myself, so shut your bread hole ;) Its not at all hard and everyone who knows After Effects just a tad shouldn't have a hrad time making something like this.

To anyone else who mightthink this is stolen or whatever from a Video Vopilot tutorial; IT'S NOT. I can't even remember VCP having a tutorial on this?

You may not be stupid but your comment certainly is. How the creator lerned to do the effect is of no importance. I work as a motion graphic designer and I lerned most of what I know from tutorials. Its a great way to learn as I'm sure you know (based on your comment)

Nothing all that complex. Just a background and keyframing the Opacity options for the text

Oh no, I'm afraid it's a little more complex than just keyfreaming the transparency. I don't think I keyframed transparency at all in this. Roughen Edges did most of the work.
