what is the bare minimum wiring you have to have hooked up to get that running.

@Malchren 12 volts positive to the + side of coil and the points hooked up to the - side of the coil.

What is the wiring arrangement you have to make it stay running after you disconnect the jumper cables from battery

@Hubmanx I had the coil hooked up to the battery with a small set of jumper cables. I used the big jumpers for start only

careful that the engine doesnt vibrate off the tailgate. i dont know if i would run it if it wasnt bolted down. k series engines arent light.

@ad356 k series engines are heavy enough to hold them selves down when running
